Looking at this one remindes me of the "Assist Me" Rap Battle between Wesker and Doom. It is awesome QFT, but add in Captain Commando. Since I know nothing about the game itself, I now consider this 2-pack to forever be based on that awesome rap battle video.

Maybe it's a 4-pack of "Classic" Battle Beasts from the 80's.

One of the earlier Thing minimates came with a cigar. Probably the easiest accessory to lose out of all that have been done. Kingpin had a cigar too, but he never inhaled.

Piece of Mind (with silence of the lambs straightjacket) Powerslave (uses universal mummy parts) Somewhere in Time (personal favorite since I went to the Somewhere on Tour concert in the 80s) Killers and then ... all the rest! (I know there's a previous Iron Maiden mm, but I never got it)

I just checked, and indeed mine has 2 left hands just like yours. Mine also has 2 right thigh caps. Never knew...

Those fantastic "Hex" hands would be very close to "Web-Thwipping" hands without the hex-bolt...

So here's the only thing that really bugged me (aside from the unending questions about what everything meant)

Except those properties are over. No media tie ins. DC is still going strong, with movies, cartoons, direct DVDs, comics, and merchandise. They have a continued presence that could warrant revisiting a property such as minimates. The JLU line "died" many times over the years, yet there's still 3-packs coming this year via mattycollector, long after its many deaths. Just my 2 cents...

Just a few of the ones I consider "best of": Iron Man: MvC Thor: wave 44/Disney 4-pack Cap: Heroic age 4-pack (I think, the light blue one) Hulk: Defenders Wolverine: "Best of" wave Spiderman: no idea, they all have so many different looks. But I do prefer the ones with Peter Parker underneath a mask. Other suggestions:First appearance Avengers box set + TRU 1st appearance Thor + Heroic age Cap + "best of Iron Man + either Hawkeye + Vision, Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch = classic early Avengers team. I like the X-men 1st appearance team as well. So many choices, it all really comes down to personal preference. But you're almost certainly guaranteed duplicates at some point.

Wait, is the yellow blank considered rare? I've had one in my collection for a while. I either got it in a bin at a toy show or a flea market, for a quarter I think. Not bagged, just loose.

Expendables just came out too. A specialty market 4-pack, and the tru 4-pack. I think more are scheduled for this year.

I haven't read AvX yet, so most of these are lost on me. So between Scarlet Witch and a new Iron Man armor, I went with the armored Avenger.Plus, if I've read correctly, there are 5 members of the X-Men band, so if only 1-3 get made, then it's pretty weak representation, even if I'm not familiar with the story arc.Kinda strange choices which lead me to believe there's some more companion sets planned along the way.

Give me a 4-pack with comic Volstagg, Hogun, Fandrall and Heimdall and I'll be happy.

I like making lists of things, and your post just inspired me to do this for no good reason, lol... Series 16 - Bearded Thor - I never really felt I needed him. But at least he's fairly different looking from normal Thor. Was the bearded Thor variant supposed to represent Eric Masterson as Thor? I just recently noticed the similarities between that one and the new one.

Hence username? I guess it works! Well, I have less than 100 posts so I hope you weren't referring to me. I was relating that I've had the same collecting habits with different lines, and not criticizing or questioning at all. If anything, I'm just the same.

I mentioned this a few pages back, so I figure with the new wave 48 FF talk it's worth re-visiting my choices/predictions. I'm really thinking waves 48 and 49 are Fantastic 4 and new Uncanny(to compliment the AvX set).

I used to be the same way with Joes (and still do to a smaller extent). But once I did the math in my head as to what I could get back on all the duplicates, even AT COST, I realized I could have other nice stuff... like an iPad, an HDTV...steak... floor space... so I started parting out a lot of dupes. Haven't looked back either. The cleaning out is now an annual event.

Well, several of those I'm not familiar with. I'm old school... So I went with Madrox and Warwolves. My Excalibur team really needs Warwolves to harass them. Besides, having Madrox would really solidify chances of Guido & X-Factor. Dire Wraiths without ROM - no thanks.

Not only is it very likely Luke will have them, but BBTS has had them up for preorder a few days now at retail cost. So no real reason for anyone to jump on any high-priced preorders anywhere.
