Pathfinder minimates!-First box set revealed
Shogi replied to Kostisfire's topic in Indie Comics Minimates
I just broke down and ordered a couple of the Munchkin one, It's not too big of a deal but I was slightly put off by the "Free shipping for domestic orders" then charged $1 for shipping. But like I said, it's not a big deal, $1 is still really cheap I think only 1 is Munchkin based, there's the two posted above, then there's one that looks like the one in the box set but with an open mouth, then the Munchkin one with the cartoony drawn face -
Zach, that picture is basically a draw with the spellbook one I posted, both of them turned out really well. Here's my Ostog and Cairn Wight review (TL;DR I really like the Cairn Wight ) http://needlessessentialsonline.com/pathfinder-minimates-ostog-the-unslain-cairn-wight/

TMNT Minimates - it's official!
Shogi replied to youbastards's topic in TV, Movie, & Video Game Minimates
I've seen a ton of GI Joe Kreo wave 5 and a good helping of wave 4. In both cases they sold through pretty well, but mainly due to massive sales (50% off or $1 off etc...) No codes definitely had me and a friend buying more than we would have normally, but again, that only happened when there was a sale. As for the line being dead, we'll have to see what happens in February. I know a lot of people pointed to the massive clearance prices that hit around x-mas ($100 Terrordrome for as little as $35) but I'd point out that all the blind bags and Terrordrome are back at full price now and the only sets on clearance prices have been out for most of the year. All that said, I'm not a fan of blind bags, but thanks to Luke's and some hunting on my part I have all of the figures with only 5 extra figures purchased (2 Raphs, 1 Mikey (who was used in a custom) 1 Don (Who a friend wanted) and 1 Foot Soldier (Which is an army builder and not a problem)) I would definitely prefer a code on the bag just so I don't have to guess by feeling up the bag -
Thanks! It's all laser pointers, flashlights and straws

TMNT Minimates - it's official!
Shogi replied to youbastards's topic in TV, Movie, & Video Game Minimates
QFT Yes, these three accessories NEED to happen (Also technically that Slash would be a pre-mutated mutant and could be one of the hints for wave 2 ) -
No wonder it looked creepy
-
I also found it in the Marvel aisle, but the odd thing is that out of the two stores near me, one store had a ton of these and the other store only had one set. Maybe get the item number off the website and check with the store to see if they have the sets or even ordered them

TMNT Minimates - it's official!
Shogi replied to youbastards's topic in TV, Movie, & Video Game Minimates
Interesting. I like Stockman, Bradford, and Xever as the non-mutated versions too. No TMNT line has made them yet so that would be cool if we got them eventually! Stockman has been made in pre-mutation form a couple of times now, both in the main line and lego line, but yeah the other two haven't been made. Bradford has even had both mutations made, but no human figure -

Or perhaps you're throwing us off the trail and the .5 is the mutated Karai? There's already a snake body tail that could be used I figure it's a pre-mutated Chris Bradford (Dogpound) or Baxter though, which I'd be fully happy with (Especially if Baxter has some early mech suit parts -

Casey was mentioned on facebook by DST as coming in wave 2 -
This is my main go to when trying to see what parts will work for a custom. I also check it out to see if there's parts I'll want in a set when I find them online for clearance

Found an old wave 8 Mr Fantastic at a local toy show and I knew what needed to be done with an old FF costume....you give it to Spidey! The Amazing Bagman / Bag Head Spidey I sculpted on top of a movie Blob headpiece so the bag is removable and sanded off the paint on the ends of the legs, then added some bare feet

DST Facebook & Twitter Update Centre
Shogi replied to Gmonkey2k's topic in Crisis of Infinite Minimates
Everything I've ordered from them, Action Figures, Books & CD's have always been in bubble mailers....typically beat to crap with card bubbles falling off and in the last case the SDCC Battle Beast set with the bubble fully taped back on to the card (Thankfully it's still complete and I bought it for customs) Just ran across the box from Hastings that the taped up Battle Beast set came in, I forgot it was in a box since the TPB I also ordered was in a bubble mailer on top of the box -
TMNT Minimates - it's official!
Shogi replied to youbastards's topic in TV, Movie, & Video Game Minimates
Both TRU's around me have no more TMNT Mates, one of the stores even shrunk the TMNT aisle down to half an aisle (I guess they know they're not getting any more TMNT items?) -

The black looks ok, but I woulda gone with a dark green to give the impression that it's a crack more and not a tattoo -
Thanks for the compliments guys! The R2-D2 Episode 1 playset/carry case was a nice surprise when I put the Turtles in it. Reminds me of a Kraang base or walkway in the Technodrome

Pathfinder minimates!-First box set revealed
Shogi replied to Kostisfire's topic in Indie Comics Minimates
Just got my two packs in today! I really should have bought more of the Ghoul pack, he's becoming one of my favorites (which is problematic since he's supposed to be turned into Skeletor ) The two packs I picked up have a lot of cool parts in them so even if you're not too thrilled with the characters, the parts more than makes up for it. -
Horror classics blind box figures?
Shogi replied to Roccothegreat's topic in TV, Movie, & Video Game Minimates
Going with the generic monsters, if DST makes Skeletons, I will buy. Apparently even Minimate skulls will get my attention, Case in point: Pathfinder. I know nothing about it and I wasn't interested after seeing the first box set......then I saw the skull one of the two packs came with and was very intrigued, I then saw I could make a Skeletor and that one of the characters looked like a Deadite from Army of Darkness, now there's two two packs being shipped to me.....still don't really care about Pathfinder.
