  1. You heard that too? Nobody else in my house did, I thought I was going batty! Great job, Britons! Excellent Opening ceremony. I actually got teary-eyed at the lighting of the torch. Great symbolism of all the nations coming together into one whole.
  2. Do you have a link to some of your work? It would be greatly appreciated! Sure! Of course I have the designer's problem of never updating my own sites... Probably the most current is stuff on my facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wugmanmax There is older work here at my site as well: http://douglattery.com/
  3. You guys have to watch this. So fun! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3s4Czla6tXc
  4. And England is located in Canadia, right next to Ireland in Lake Superior. I'm beginning to suspect that you guys may be pulling our collective leg...
  5. The Cyberman is excellent and Dalek Sek is looking amazing as well! Makes me consider getting into those large scale Who figures... but I need to sell stuff first...
  6. The package is pretty! It's hard to see the details on the clear plastic, but It at least looks very similar in construction to the Toy Biz ones...
  7. I am 100% in agreement, Dinobot. I've been a comics fan long enough to see the trends. Looking back, I wonder how many people bitched and "gave up comics" when Age of Apocalypse happened. Or Amalgam? Or the dozens of other events that Marvel has done to try and boost sales. It's all just storytelling, people. If they did the same stories over and over again, you would complain about that too! This idea of the Marvel U being upset because the Red Skull has finally become a world threat to human and mutantkind sounds awesome to me! It's usually a mutant or cosmic threat that gets everybody to work together.
  8. Concerning the robots... Potential Spoilers for Prometheus, Alien and Aliens.
  9. To be fair, it's only produced by Burton, so it doesn't really have his style. But I still had a fun time with it, as an over the top action/horror movie that happens to also be about Abraham Lincoln.
  10. Surprised there wasn't a thread about this already, unless I and the search function both missed it! In short, it was fun. If you are expecting a movie about Honest Abe killing vamps, you got it! Here is my full review: http://www.10mfh.com/reviews/movie-review-abraham-lincoln-vampire-hunter/
  11. Anybody still playing this? I need more Mighty Marvel Friends! https://www.facebook.com/douglattery
  12. Cool pics from NECA's blog of the figures. Spoilers if you haven't seen the movie! http://necaonline.com/34497/blog/press-releases/prometheus-has-landed/#ixzz1xFVqKsKF
  13. I rather liked it as well. It's not a prequel to Alien! But it exists in the same universe and we get to see some explanations of things seen in "Alien". It is it's own movie and does NOT lead up to the beginning of Alien. People with criticisms of it in that regard perhaps don't realize that? I have heard people complain that the facts didn't line up right to match the beginning of Alien. That is because the events of this movie don't lead up to the beginning of Alien! Anyway, it looks great, I enjoyed the acting, the story made me think and I'd watch another!
  14. I'm at the point now that I need hundreds of thousands of silver just to train my guys. This is getting annoying. ...yet I still play...
  15. Bah. I was just perusing the HISS Tank forums and people are hoping they will show up at Family Dollar, but no confirmed reports as of yet. According to the thread someone in my state asked a manager at Dollar General about them and they have not (yet) made it here. I won't pay Ebay prices for them, but I'd pick up another Cobra Commander or Snake Eyes for 6 bucks.
  16. Does anyone know if these will be at other discount-type places? We have a Family Dollar and Big Lots around here that get the same sort of items. The nearest Dollar General is way out of my way.
  17. Makes me wonder if the guy does survive and gets all this work done, will he turn his life around? Will this cause him to rethink the decisions that led him to be homeless? Or will he just be a ward of the state, going from hospital to hospital? With a history of criminal offenses and mental illness, and now this trauma on top of that, I just wonder what this guy's life is going to be like.
  18. Oh! I didn't see it anywhere in this thread. At least the past few pages or so.
  19. A buddy on another board posted this: "It sure as hell looks to me like the Aliens are actually the Disir, the beings who were cast off to the "spaces in-between" realms. I mean, this image from the comics looks similar to me: And also, it would make sense. Loki falls into the area between realms by falling off the Rainbow Bridge, right? So he'd meet them there... ? "
  20. And here is another entry! http://www.artasylum.com/blog/2012/04/lokis-army-revealed-the-final-diamond-select-avengers-figures-unveiled-at-c2e2/ Just called "Loki's Army".
  21. He is going to reprise his role as Ghandi!
  22. The company I work for has an electronic document redaction product, so I smile every time I see that.
  23. Oh I really want it to be some sort of cool little in-joke for us nerds... But I'm starting to think that perhaps the reason there isn't a name to them isn't some grand conspiracy... It's just that they are unnamed.
  24. I have a feeling they aren't even going to explain who they are in the movie. They are going to be "an army" or "Loki's army" and not really explained beyond that. I don't think people (the general public) will really care where they came from or even need an explanation.
