I'm disappointed in you west coasters, the most anticipated series in ages, and so few photos! Get on it!! I can't wait for next wednesday now, even though I do return to school *ugh*, I think this series looks quite phenomenal.

I'm missing a fair amount... * Black Elektra * Black Spider-Man (of course) * Carnage * Visorless Cyclops * Transparent Invisible Woman * Ronin * Raft Sentry * DotFP Wolverine * Darktide Quartet (will probably be buying very soon) * Astonishing Emma and Cyclops (will probably be buying very soon) * Astonishing Colossus and Wolverine (will probably be buying very soon) * Thanos * Blue Professor X * Tongue Venom * Transparent Phoenix * Ultimate Green Goblin * Movie Spider-Man 2-pack (will these be identical to the upcoming ones?) And if we want to get very, very technical, I'm missing Surfer with C3 feet, and Ghost Rider with the lighter flame from the 10 pack and all three minimates that came with Ultimate Avengers 2. Not too concerned about any of those. I also never bothered with the maximates. And of course, no Santa, Gold or Silver Spidey. And my comic store had the DD/GM zombie two-pack today, so I was psyched that I didn't have to order them from the internet.

Naw, he's 2 inches, it's just that Ma Hunkel is using the Penguin short feet.

My plan exactly. I was actually debating whether to buy an extra Hawkman set for just that reason. Looks like Hawkman and Hawkgirl's wings are attached to their chest pieces. I'm sure you could swap them out, but you'd certainly have to have some customizing skills to do it.

Well, I did, as I already found it. But it may have just been a mistake and put out early for some reason at the stroe I found it at. I admit that it was in an odd spot, no where near the minimates, and was kinda tucked away. I was surprised to find it. I'm uploading pictures of the box to my computer now. As I said in my last post, I can't open the set until next friday, my birthday, so all I can provide is boxed pictures. I should have them posted in 15 minutes or so. *edit* Okay, here they are. Sorry about the quality of the back and side shots, I didn't realize how blurry they were until I uploaded them.

I just picked up the Spider-Man box set with Hydro Man about an hour ago at Newbury Comics in Nashua, NH. Unfortunatley, my birthday is next week, so my father took it as a birthday present, so I can't open it until next week. I can post a picture of the box, however, if anyone wants. It looks alot like the TRU exclusive New Avengers/Astonishing X-Men sets.

I'm curious, with the contract between DC and AA, is it possible to make minimates based on V for Vendetta? The comic was not written for DC (I believe) and was only released by DC in the US. Does DC own the rights to the characters, and therefore be able to release minimates based on it? Because, let's be honest, a V minimate would be fantastic.

Though I'd love a Powerhouse Hulk, actually (look how cool the zombie looks...though I'd like it if he had Thing hands too....), I'd prefer a Valkrie to a new Surfer. I think the original is still servicable, though if he can attach to the board, I think he'd be better justified.

Do you guys remember that in the radical letter it said "defending toy shelves" or something to that effect? Sounds pretty certain it's Defenders....and I think the most useful.

This looks awesome. I have about 5 years or so of acting experience, so if you need help vocally, I could record stuff. I doubt I'd be a suitable actor for the Punisher, but I'd be willing to help out period. I love the screenshots, man.

It's DEFINATLEY Dr. Stange and Namor, in my book. Those are two of the quintessential marvel characters. Also up there are Hawkeye, Vision, Angel and several other team heroes. Villian wise, we NEED Red Skull. Mandarin, Dormammu, Mephisto, Strucker, Zemo I, MODOK, Abomination follow. Man, I need to post here more often. Anyone remember me from the original AA boards?

Weird. I definatly posted the answer...but It's gone.... weird. Maybe it didn't go through? Anyways, it was originally thought that Destiny and Mystique were the parents, with Mystique impregnating Destiny by morphing into a man. They almost used this "origin" for Nightcrawler too, but Marvel thought it was too risky of a story in the 1980's.

Oy. Um..... When Claremont originally came up with the concept of Rogue, what was her parentage, that never reached the page? (that means, originally, her parents were meant to be .... )
