  1. I only really have two to add and they were perfect to begin with but could use an update anyway. 1. Carnage, after seeing the through the ages Venom I want a Carnage with tentacles sticking out all over as well. 2. Modular Armor Iron Man. Yeah I know the through the ages was spot on, and yeah it's another Iron Man but since we're going to be getting them anyway, I'd still like to see this one redone and actually have lots of additional modular parts included with him.
  2. I think that was one of Michael's Cool Toy Review's worst toy lines of the year. Why is his butt on backwards? Its the new Kriss Kross! C'mon dark red, don't be too harsh the poor guy was just trying to mimic your avatars pose! Spaceballs: President Screwb: "Why didn't somebody tell me my ass was so big?"
  3. Which one: Being Human Original UK Version, Being Human US Version, or both?
  4. Thanks. I never got into Trigun but I can see how that would work. As for hair, if painting isn't a problem, then I'd go with either Series 3 Ultimate Cyclops or New Mutants Wolvesbane with the pony tail clipped off. The only other option that might work would be the wave 17 Eddie Brock since that is just about the right color.
  5. Thanks. Now for the last of the Gatherers, at least for now. Codename: Deadbot Filename: None Classification: Nimrod Class Sentinel Artifact Powers: Enhanced tracking unit modified to locate mystical objects and people Artifacts: Otaku Nightmare armor and weapons It is uncertain why or how anyone would rebuild and reprogram a Nimrod Sentinel with the mercenary Deadpool's personality and the objective of hunting magic rather than mutants. Nor is it clear what the reasoning his unique armor and weapons. While Deadbot is powered down the Otaku Nightmare seems to be the standard cosplay fare consisting of polystyrene, papier-mâché, and prop replica weapons. However once Deadbot is online they are transformed into metals as indestructible as adamantium and vibranium.
  6. I'm sorry, really I am. You've now taken the first steps down a dark and forbidding path that leads to looking at wave releases, no matter how many Caps, Iron Men, or Thors they contain, in terms of "that's a new belt", "That torso would make a good character with this cape and that head", and "Do I really want to paint this or wait for another wave that will have a character with the color I need?". As an example my first thought on seeing the Walking Dead mates was I've got to get an extra Rick so that I can give that revolver to Indy. Next thing you know you're going to find yourself, not troop building but, part building. How many Caps should I get so that I'll have extra jackets for later characters. Perhaps worst of all is the compulsion to make sure you clear the LCS pegs as soon as possible so that they continue to order in new waves, even if it is another Thor/Lady Loki that somehow got lost in the back and just now got put out on the shelf. So again I apologize for this terrible, terrible inspiration I've inadvertently given you.
  7. Codename: Empty File Name: Miles Thorton (M.T.) Toone Classification: Vampire Powers: Enhanced strength, speed, and healing with limited perception alteration Artifacts: Cloak of Vlad the Impaler While on a college trip with friends M.T. was dared to don Dracula's Cloak. As he pulled it over his shoulders he was instantly transformed. Everyone thought it was a joke at first since M.T. was well known for his practical jokes. Unfortunately this time was no joke but M.T. was lucky enough to be able to control his thirst for human blood except on the nights of the New Moon. While searching for a cure to his condition M.T. had a run in with the Gatherers and after the cliché fight joined the group. M.T. has all of the strengths and none of the vampiric weaknesses this includes the ability to travel in daylight and the inability to pass on the curse to others due to the fact that he isn't a true Vampire. Also, as long as he feeds once a month, he is able to control his thirst. He also has a mystic connection that leads him to any vampiric artifacts within a hundred mile radius. This sense is connected to the cloak itself trying to use other items to complete M.T.'s transformation.
  8. Codename: Knight File Name: Duncan Graham Classification: Human Powers: Extreme mental discipline Artifacts: Demon Sword and Blessed Armor Being the head of a multinational business made Graham was a very wealth man. Having expensive tastes for exotic art and weaponry landed him a spot with the Gatherers. Graham had thought the blade he'd bought would make an excellent addition to his fantasy collection, since it obviously wasn't a real blade, so after swinging it a few times he added it to his collection and didn't think anymore about it. That is until several days later after an altercation with his ex-wife where he seemed to have blacked out for several hours. Later he learned that she had been brutally murdered. She had been repeatedly stabbed and then inhumanly strong hands had mangled her body. He felt sick, sure their relationship hadn't ended on the best of terms but he had never hated her enough to want her dead. As he stared into his mirror another faced stared back at him, a demonic face, the face of the demon that inhabited the sword and had possessed his body. The demon was mocking him, trying to make him loose control and allow it free reign once again. It was at this point the Gatherers arrived. Prof. Wells took the sword but once that only caused the demon to burst forth stronger than ever. It took the combined efforts of the Gatherers to contain the creature until it reverted back to Graham four hours later. Since that day Graham has invested all his spare time and money into two pursuits the first is in training his mind so that he can maintain control over the demon and the second is into assembling a set of Blessed Armor that will, when completed, force the demon back into the sword so that it can be safely stored in the Treasure Realm. Codename: Demon File Name: Unpronounceable Classification: Demon Powers: Super Strength and invulnerability to all human artifacts and most holy artifacts Artifacts: Demon forged armor When Duncan Graham wielded the Demon Sword he opened the door for Demon to take possession of his body. When released he has an unquenchable thirst for violence. He wears armor forged from the souls of the worst of humanities evils that gives him immunity to most holy artifacts. Fortunately he can only manifest himself for short periods of time however this time increases each time he breaks free. His goal is to force Graham into freeing him enough times that he will be able to take full control of the body and then transform the world into his own hellish paradise.
  9. Codename: Tamer Filename: William McDaniels Classification: Human Powers: None Artifacts: Ten Rings of the Dragons and Trench Coat of the Hero Tamer started out as a Hollywood stunt man that inadvertently came into contact with an artifact. In his case it was the Trench coat of the Hero, a white leather trench that in impervious to dirt and grime. It also has the effect of making people believe everything the one wearing it says is the absolute truth. However if the bearer does anything dishonest it begins to change color first to red and then to black and makes everyone distrust the bearer until he has made amends and redeemed himself at which point it returns to it's pristine condition. Also once it has bonded to the bearer it cannot be taken from him or even discarded until he dies and its effects remain even if he isn't wearing it. After realizing that mystical objects existed McDaniels quit his job and spent all his time searching for other such artifacts. Eventually this led him to China and to his other artifacts the Ten Dragon Rings also known as the Rings of the Mandarin. Each ring gives him a different power as well as the ability to summon dragons. He can summon up to two mini-dragons, one per hand, or one small dragon. It is possible that with time and experience he may someday be able to summon large and even colossal dragons. It was shortly after he found the ten rings that he was found by the Gatherers. Seeing that their quests were similar he joined the group, with the urging of one of his summoned dragons. While there is no evidence of the connection it has been hinted that the dragons that he summons are, in reality, the true inhabitants of "The Treasure Realm". Minimate Lockheed, Marvel Universe Lockheed, and Mega Bloks blind pack mini-dragon
  10. Codename: Merc Real Name: Allan Lancing Classification: Human Powers: Highly trained in all forms of combat and weaponry Artifacts: Armor of the Fallen Warrior and Masamune Allan has been with the team almost since the beginning. He was forced to join by his government supposedly as a bodyguard for Prof. Wells. However his true mission was to catalog and retrieve artifacts for military use. Unfortunately on his first mission, when Prof. Wells wasn't able to identify the mystical properties of a set of body armor, Merc brazenly donned the armor himself. He discovered that its previous owner had blessed the armor so that it gave complete invulnerability to the one wearing it. Unfortunately, as it turned out, the only one that could remove the armor was one who loved the wearer above all others. Merc, having never had a relationship that lasted for more than a couple of hours found himself trapped. Now with no recourse he continues to work with Prof. Wells hoping to find another artifact that will free him. In that quest he has added the sword Masamune to his arsenal. The fabled sword is so sharp that it can cut light rendering the user invisible however it is still not sharp enough to cut through the Armor of the Fallen Warrior.
  11. As long as the Lego head/mask looks rather large on a Lego minifig then I've found that it is looks alright on a minimate body. That's one of the reason's I can't wait for the release of the Lego Monster Fighter's Werewolf minifig. Anyway, I've never had to modify the minimate neck pegs. Instead I've focused on shaving or sanding down the inside of the Lego heads where the modifications can't be seen and so that I can slide it onto any minimate body incase I decide it doesn't look right on the body I started with. With the minotaur I started out using a black Halo body but once I finished I switched to the Wolfsbane when I found that the mask was able to cover up enough of the upper block to give him a fur pattern without appearing female. The modification areas on the Minotaur mask was mostly on the back piece and at the shoulders. In this case most of the work was in order to get the mask to slide down over the thicker minimate body. If you look closely at the front view you can see where I got it a bit too thin and ended up cracking it. If I worked slower or had any experience with a dremel it probably would have worked out better (my tools consist of a set of sprew nippers and an exacto knife). Also I had to snip out a bit of the plastic in the peg hole since it didn't line up real well with the neck peg and tended to pop up on its own before the hole was enlarged.
  12. I'm putting up two customs this time due to the fact that one of them is an old custom with a new updated bio. Codename: Indy File Name: Doctor Anna Jones Classification: Human Powers: None Artifacts: Hollywood Revolver, Whip of the Dominatrix, and Bag of Withholding Records of Dr. Jones' exploits go back before the First World War. She has met many of the most famous people of the twentieth century and includes such individuals as the Red Baroness, Lauren of Arabia, and Hemingway. During World War II her exploits became a bit less publicized however she is credited with spoiling multiple plots involving Hitler's Thule Society. It is even rumored that she once met Hitler while undercover in Berlin. She has extensive training in combat strategy, weaponry, espionage, and is perhaps the greatest talent with a bull whip the world has or perhaps will ever see. It is not surprising that she has become entangled with the Gatherers considering the fact that she has had encounters with such artifacts as The Arc of the Covenants and the Holy Grail. The latter of which has gifted her with an extremely long life. Since joining the group she has started using three powerful artifacts: The Hollywood Revolver looks like an ordinary revolver except that once loaded it never runs out of bullets, The Whip of the Dominatrix is a regular bull whip unless it is used on an individual that has physically abused another then it transforms into barbed wire flaying the flesh of the abuser, and finally the Bag of Withholding, a seemingly normal messenger bag that is linked to "The Treasure Realm" and allows the user to pull whatever is most needed from its depths. Codename: Minotaur File Name: Professor Brent Taylor Classification: Minotaur Powers: Super strength and stamina Artifacts: Axe of the Minotaur and the Shield of Sparta Professor Taylor was a renowned archaeologist working in Crete on the fabled ruins of the labyrinth when he unearthed the Axe of the Minotaur. The artifact immediately transformed him into a bull headed monster. Fortunately Prof. Taylor was able to remain in control of his bestial side until the Gatherers arrived. Prof. Wells, claiming to have worked with a group of artifact wielding Taylor's from an alternate universe, immediately offered Brent a position with the team as a specialist in Ancient Mediterranean Artifacts. However most of the time Brent ends up acting as the team's primary brawler due to his unique transformation. Since joining he has located, and started using, The Shield of Sparta which allows the wielder to hold back any number of foes so long as everyone in his group has faith in the shields power. And as an extra bonus when a minotaur goes around wearing a gold speedo he tends to over compensate in other areas.
  13. The Gatherers The mission of the Gatherers is to collect and contain artifacts that are deemed to dangerous to be loose in the public domain. Whether the item's origin is through science, magic, or alien contact as long as it has the ability to bestow greater than human abilities on the average person then it falls into the group's domain of responsibility. While there are many rumors as to where the group originated the only thing that is known is that they have artifacts from diverse regions of the multiverse. Codename: Gauntlet File Name: Professor Russell Wells Classification: Human Powers: None Artifacts: Iron Gauntlet and Reaper's Sword Prof. Wells is the current leader of the team and is often the first member to actually handle new artifacts. He is also the only one that knows the true resting place of recovered artifacts. When in the field he is often seen wielding the Reaper's Sword, which protects it's master from all known death magic by turning the spells back on their caster and then absorbing their souls into the blade. The Professor also keeps the Iron Gauntlet with him at all times. The gauntlet is able to shield him from any effects an object may have on him. The Iron Gauntlet is also the key to opening a portal to "The Treasure Realm" where all retrieved artifacts are placed for storage.
  14. After picking up a spare set of the Spectral RGBs I decided I just had to QC the Ghostbuster rookies.
  15. Not to mention the joke actual laser clawed female wolverine called Wild Thing that popped up in the 90's alongside of a American Dream & Son of Juggernaut Before Wild Thing and X-23, Rancor was running around the Guardians of the Galaxy Universe claiming to be Wolverine's decedent.
  16. Must control the urge to order, at least until I've got the money to spend again. As for suggestions A coiled snake base that inserts into the body block to build an army of gorgons An Inhuman's Medusa Hair stand Throne base for Loki or just about any would be world conquer An earth rising base for use for earth elemental characters A plant/vine base A glue trap base Finally perhaps the most important and iconic base the character surviving an explosion right behind or in front of them depending on the direction the minifig is placed.
  17. I'd like to see: Red Dwarf Primeval, I'd be happy with a Connor & Abby two pack with a Rex accessory Warehouse 13 Stargate SG1 Terra Nova Naruto Thundercats, classic and new To go with Knight Rider, I need Airwolf and Street Hawk. I'd also like to get the Knight Rider reboot Ford Mustang Kitt not that I ever watched the series.
  18. Don't know if this will help or not but I noticed that there are a couple of Lego Ninjago figures with a serpent lower body.
  19. I hope that wolf man/werewolf ends up in one of the smaller sets because that head looks over sized enough to be used to make a much more feral New Mutants Wolfsbane.
  20. I must say that I've never thought so deeply about the topic at hand, but being under all that pressure does explain why the Hulk is always so mad.
  21. The only thing that comes to my mind after looking at is that it is completely soulless, and not in an exciting undead way but in that it was created by machines for machines. I suppose this means that the new Warner Brothers logo is going to be a "W" done like the "D" with the bottom pulled up revealing a face down "B" underneath. Or in other words a double seater toilet cover.
  22. Perhaps when the 15th anniversary rolls around we'll see a pair of Comic GR Box Sets Ghost Rider through the Ages Johnny Blaze Dan Ketch Current female Ghost Rider Ghost Rider 2099 All with extra heads and hair for human and demon transformation the second would have to include Western Ghost Rider Vengeance Mephisto Blackheart Both boxes would have giant 15th anniversary stamp on the front as an extra nod/Easter egg for collectors in the know.
  23. I'd rather see Mushu done like Lockheed or Venkman's hairless cat than a full Minimate. I'm greedy and want both, one done like Daxter, form the Sony series, a mini-Mushu with the panda (Black and White Unit) with Royal Adviser and again in the Battle for the Mountain Pass box set. Maybe even a third in the Storming the Palace set with kite wings.
  24. For revamping I'm hoping for a return of the Eastwood/classic westerns line or even a generic Western MAX line. The cereal mascots line would be fun but I highly doubt that will ever fly. As for expanding lines I'd like to see the Universal monsters line pick increase to twice a year schedule with the inclusion to the modern remakes and possible inclusion of Van Helsing and Scorpion King spin offs. While a Van Helsing custom is easy enough with a Movie Wolverine as a base I'd still like to see an official version. As for new properties, since Star Wars is likely still off the table I wouldn't mind seeing a Space Balls line. Other properties would be a Square Enix Line (unlikely to happen but there is a fan base out there). Naruto, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist or One Piece I think that manga/anime properties have been woefully overlooked so far. Thundercats, with the new show and the classic version there is a lot of potential for mates. Finally a Disney line would have just as much, if not more potential than even the Marvel line. The fan base is cross generational and every parent knows most, if not all, of the characters, and there is a new group of characters every summer. Just off the top of my head I can come up with a single wave, TRU exclusive, Disney Store box set, and even a true fans exclusive box set: Mulan 1 Mulan & Mushu 2 Ling & General Shang 3 Hun Soldier (Builder)& Shen Po 4 Hun Soldier (Builder)& Yow TRU Exclusive 1 Panda with Mushu & Royal Adviser 2 Emperor & Bride Mulan Box Battle of the Mountain Pass Ping with mini Mushu Shan Yu with hawk General Shang with rocket launcher Royal Physician SDCC/NYCC Box set Storming the Palace Hun Guard Ling (Royal Concubine) Yow (Royal Concubine) Shen Po (Royal Concubine) If Disney isn't announced as one of the new lines I'm still betting it will happen eventually.
