  1. My bombermate is most special, because it was personalized to me. My favorite official mate at this moment is the DCD Batman, followed closely by the new Villains Magneto. Love the serious look on his face, and that wild hairdo.
  2. Shockiniz are teh bestest. They pwns Minimates in every way. Just kidding, of course. However, I would be remiss if I didn't take this opportunity to remind everyone about the time our dear Shanester had me pick up a convention exclusive Shockini for him. I braved the suck of the Shockini booth to obtain the hideous piece of plastic, my eyes burning at the sight of the myriad of "incredible" customs on display. I emerged mostly unscathed, though I'm pretty sure I lost a few billion brain cells just by touching the wretched thing. It's amazing what we will do for our friends. True story. hahaha!!!
  3. Found Swordsman/ Surfer, and the old guys today in Cincinnati so it's not just the coasts.
  4. Don't know if anyone still reads this, but Transformers wave 3 has hit TRU. Movie versions of Optimus and Bumblebee, along with Jazz and Shockwave. A board member at mightymuggsforum picked up the complete set in CA. I found all but Shockwave at my local TRU. This sparks a little hope for the rest of the Muggs shown at SDCC.
  5. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!
  6. I prefer the dsi for my use, but that's because I don't play any old GBA games, and I don't play Guitar Hero on DS. I went with the DSi for the larger screens. However, if you're looking at playing GBA games or saving a few dollars, then the DS Lite is the better buy.
  7. My local lcs is holding a set of each for me. I can't wait.
  8. Don't feel that way, man. Everybody had to start somewhere.
  9. I used to have as many as anybody. I had AT LEAST two of every character produced at one point. I got out of mates completely a few years ago, but recently came back. Now I've got maybe 200 or so, as a conservative estimate.
  10. Frustratingly enough, it looks like there aren't any. In last month's Toyfare, there was a question about the Batman license and a Lego rep said they still have the license but no sets were planned. I don't understand the logic there, but as a huge Batman fan I'm sure my opinion is biased.
  11. I got minijeff's request, but so far nothing from you pickle. In a few days, I'll be reverting back to my real life name, Dennis Lockaby, so if anyone comes a little late to the game and doesn't find Deadness Stormcrow, that'll be why. Gotta resist the urge to keep messing with my name.
  12. Crap, I forgot I"ve been messing, and my name (for now) is "Deadness Stormcrow." Send those friend requests!
  13. Of course, Jeff. Anyone here is a friend in my opinion. Anybody who needs neighbors, hit me up.
  14. You can friend me. My name on facebook is Deadness Lockzomby. It was my Halloween name, but I haven't changed it back as of yet.
  15. I have sold off a HUGE amount of my collection, and there's still more to go. I wanted to keep everything, but when I finally realized that owning a toy that sits in a tote in a storage bin is completely unfulfilling, I was able to let some stuff go. I got rid of my entire Palisades Toys Muppets collection, which was super tough, all of my 3 3/4 figures, which I started buying again when the 25th anniversary stuff came out (ugh) and I'm currently moving out all of my LEGO sets, keeping only a handful of minifigs and of course my entire Lego keychain collection. Here's what I collect now: MOTU classics Minimates Mighty Muggs Mez-itz ( the newer 6" style) And to keep the M's from getting a clean sweep, LEGO keychains. The Minimates and keychains take up minimal storage space, and my Mighty Muggs and Mez-Itz are all currently on display. I will buy an occasional odd piece from another toy line if it's something I really like. Maybe a cool Batman figure or something. The bottom line is this: If it's been packed away for several months, you don't need it. Sell your excess items and go on a nice vacation somewhere.
  16. The Targets around here don't have half the stuff shown in that pic either. Man, I'd love it if they did. Oh well.
  17. Thanks for all the well wishes, guys. We had the most redneck of redneck weddings. I'll post the details once I get the pictures ready. We'll never forget it, that's for sure!
  18. Thanks for the kind words, guys. And Groundhog, I wish I could tell you there's a special reason for today, but there's not. We've both been married before, and on several occasions we discussed the pros and cons of a relatively small wedding vs. a bare bones ceremony. In the end, we just decided to go with the minimum, and any money we save can go toward a vacation next summer. We got our marriage license last week, and were hoping to do a ceremony this Saturday, but most people won't do Saturdays in OH, and those that did were booked already. We found a guy who had today free, so we said what the heck, let's do it.
  19. Marrying my gf after nearly 3 years of dating. No big to do or anything, just a small ceremony. After 7PM I'll no longer be a free man.
  20. I saw these last night at Walmart. Completely unimpressed, but it's cool that some of you are digging them.
  21. I bought the Ghost set, and the figures are kind of cool for MB. I didn't like the Ghost, though. The hand controls and the round things on the sides of the vehicle won't stay on. These would have been way better as either LEGO or Minimates. As for the Mac vs. PC debate: I have only ever owned PCs, and I've had numerous problems with viruses and such. I read in a recent Reader's Digest that most computer support personnel use Macs because of the near non-existant virus issues and slowdown. I'll likely switch over when I'm able to afford it.
  22. Well, Prime did make a brief reappearance today, and I was lucky enough to get one. Yes!
  23. Yeah, I think the same thing happened with Iron Man last year. He went from sold out, to having a few in stock once or twice.
  24. Got Wolverine, but missed Optimus! I figured he'd be the easiest to get since he's so similar to the regular release figure. Oh well, looks like I'm hitting ebay for that one.
  25. I like the Mez-Itz design a lot, but the Odd Pods look like total crap to me. I tried to like them, and looked at each one at TRU, but they are awful, in my opinion of course. Everybody's got different tastes. I don't like the Neca figures at all, but I'm still undecided about Mattel's AttiTubes. Kind of hate them, kind of think they're OK. I mainly like the Muggs and Mez-Itz.
