  1. Yeah, I don't know why Lego doesn't want their fans to be able to have these. I can understand releasing them at SDCC first or for a discounted price, but if you aren't there, you either pay a ridiculous price or you never have them at all. My phone's microphone initially changed the word ridiculous in "a ridiculous price" to "a dick you list price." Which I also think is pretty accurate.
  2. Hasbro stated at their panel at SDCC they plan on releasing merchandise for the Netflix shows. They didn't say what exactly they are making, but they are definitely going to pursue it. I look forward to finding out what Chuck's new excuse is.
  3. I'm really making an effort not to make a joke about BBC having a huge role....
  4. I was just thinking about this yesterday, didn't DST heavily imply we would be getting something from this, or did I read too much into it?
  5. Personally, I feel like not having Dr. Doom in the MCU is a bigger loss than the Fantastic Four themselves.
  6. I'm referring to the fact that they are downplaying the Fantastic Four to the point where they cancelled the book, but Doom was one of the focal points of this event. I'm aware they're still in the books, but Doom was still given a lot of attention for a character they can't feature in the MCU.
  7. That's because it makes no sense, it's just an FU to Fox. Personally, I'm ignoring it. They'll always be Magneto's kids to me.
  8. Does anyone else find it odd that Marvel is phasing out so much of the Fantastic Four, but Dr. Doom is still a major player?
  9. I hear rumors that this exact thing may take place in Civil War, hopefully that will make it in as an accessory. Hawkeye needs all the help he can get. Thanks Whedon!
  10. I feel like I'm getting there. I've been toning down what I really want to say a lot more than I used to. These look really good though, I'm trying to decide how many sets I need to get the most out of the alternate looks. I do hope that at some point in the future we get a micro version of Ant-Man in a seated pose, so we can put him on another character's shoulder, Mjolnor, what have you.
  11. Those rock, I know I'm one of the grouchier members around here but those are stellar.
  12. I keep saying it, but new Abomination tooling has at least three uses, but we can't seem to get him either.
  13. Check the Wikipedia roster, then compare it to Poison and Rufus who we did get. I didn't say don't make them ever, I said prioritize when you do get another chance and you know there are classic characters who never got made while Ryu, Akuma and Chun Li were made not just twice, but within a year of the Street Fighter vs. Tekken license.
  14. I realize that, but considering they already made some characters from Street Fighter the first time, and then made them again in Marvel vs. Capcom, realizing how they never got to finish the lineup the first two times they had a shot at the characters, getting the original group completed should have been priority number one, and you can use Ryu, Akuma, and Chun Li as the anchors later on if you get that far. Considering that I doubt they're going to get a fourth shot at this, I really cannot fathom how they allowed the chance to finish them off get away from them.
  15. The only question I have about Street Fighter 'mates is how did they manage to have three separate bites at the franchise and still manage to not make Vega, Balrog, Blanka, E. Honda.....
  16. So it's a character that's not Gambit that copied Gambit's hair, headgear and weapon of choice? Ugh.
  17. Just to make sure my point was clear, I don't mind them trying new things, I think the new Thor and Falcon becoming Captain America are both interesting changes that I hope are allowed to play out for as long as there are good stories to tell, I have a big issue though with the way things are being done here, where almost everything is getting blown up and coming back as all new, all different. Just because it's new and different doesn't make it good or a worthy replacement. I'm reminded of a story Paul Dini told about being given an order by Warner Bros. to find a way to replace the Batman animated series. You know the one, the one that is still beloved decades later. He asked them why, and they said that things need to be new, hip, and fresh. Remind me of anything that they have done in animation since that has been the equal of that series. I encourage Marvel to try new things and see what works, but if you take away all the things that I enjoy already, and I don't find their replacements to be an adequate substitute, then I have very little left.
  18. It seems like there are three schools that a new Marvel book falls into, one is into a world that is very similar to the movies, two is this ultra-PC world where every facet of society has a superhero counterpart, and three is what I like to call the "Isn't this sh!t ridiculous?!" category.
  19. Some of these I wouldn't mind seeing just because it would get us characters we should have already, but I find it very troubling as a reader how I'm not excited by any of these new ideas or developments. I'm getting very burned out on different for the sake of different.
  20. There has yet to be an argument made that wasn't "Well it might not have worked so we didn't try." I just find it ironic that the one time we're actually asking for more stuff from the MCU instead of less, we don't get it.
  21. Not at all, every word you say is true, but I think it's the way it's delivered. If they say they're not working on them right now, but they will keep an eye on it in the future, that is a lot more helpful than basically just dismissing the entire concept in a flippant way. I've managed to keep hope alive for Toad for 10 years, because at one point they released concept art of the character, so maybe one day we'll get him. But if they come out and say he will never be made, all that does is disappoint everybody. I will admit part of it is frustration because it seems like whatever the people who are in charge of the line personally like makes it in, whether it is justifiable by their own standards they use for others or not, but other ideas are dismissed. They can do a better job of making people excited. Every Q&A they post is just a series of things getting shot down. Give people something to hope for, even if it takes a while.
  22. Just to keep beating a dead horse, I decided to do a little experiment the other day. At FYE, Hot Topic, Toys R Us, I saw Daredevil merchandise available, and that doesn't even take into account the online retailers that are carrying stuff as well. But it doesn't matter, I think it's about time to take another hiatus from the board, the feedback I'm feeling is making this not that fun. Not from anyone in particular, just in general. I feel like there's just an overwhelming amount of "We can't do this or we won't do that," and it doesn't matter if you can argue the point, it's not going to change anything.
  23. I don't want that throne, it is not worth what you have to go through to get it.
