  1. http://www.the-gutters.com/comic/74-david-namisato This makes the most sense to me.
  2. I switched the head and the crotch from TRU Thing onto 37 Thing. It looks a lot better. Not able to take pics atm.
  3. I find that the new Thing really finishes out the TRU FF wave. The Thing that came with Torch was severely lacking. The new Thing's head was a little bright so I switched it out with the TRU one and I'm pretty happy with how my team looks on the shelf with the w37 Thing.
  4. SPOON!!!! I would love Tick 'mates. I cry inside when I see the images of the planned Dr Who series. Any 80's cartoon mates would be kick-ass. He-Man and She-Ra, Thundercats, GI Joe, TMNT.
  5. I'm really happy to see Tobey out, and Rami. It will be refreshing to see how they manage to reboot the franchise.
  6. I will be checking some of those out. The only one I've put effort into reading (and admittedly have forgotten to in months) is http://www.menagea3.net. it is amusing. I just clicked the Romantically Apocalyptic link and I'm already loving the art without reading it yet. thanks!
  7. Do you mean Magik's teleport base? Ah, I figured that's what that was for. I'm not all that familiar with the New Mutants. Makes sense. Feet have to be detached to work properly, correct? I was looking at it upside down at first haha. lol yeah. it took me some finagling. I haven't taken her off the base for fear I may never get her back on.
  8. Do you mean Magik's teleport base?
  9. You know, I tried the database last night before posting, but the belt tags don't denote if it wraps around the waist or slides down the torso peg.
  10. I'm having a huge brain lapse and I can't remember which mates have "wrap belts" the sort of belt that goes around the waist and not thru the crotch and torso parts of the mate. Much like the movie deadpool. I know I've seen others but I'm having a hard time remembering. any help would be appreciated.
  11. My house-mate and I have a joke, well I have a joke, she endures. If I go out the door to check the mail, and it is empty, I yell, "guess what just came in the mail?!" "What?! she yells back, or glares at me from the couch, or both. "Me! Can I borrow a towel?" bad-dump bump! In other news, Brown wolvie/mags, spidey/lizard are peg warming two full rows at the one toys r us. On Friday last week when they restocked, Magik/Warlock were the only ones missing. I figured either someone wanted Warlock and Douglock, or someone saw there was a female toy in the package and it must be worth getting to put on E-bay, or to resell to the over-priced second hand toy shop nearby. That was on January 7,the same day they hit TRU.com ...... No, December 17th I'm calm, mine are coming in the mail tomorrow. Which illustrates again that I must pay more attention. 'Coming in the mail' just sounds so bad
  12. I have Max Civvies too! Some have back stories, some are fodder and often change pieces. first up is my "first response unit." Panicked Patsy and Peeing Himself Peter. These poor mates are always on the shelf when say the Skrulls attack, or the Son of Satan bursts into action. Next we have the Police force. and the clean up squad. Have a Skrull infestation? Vampires got you down? These are the guys to call. These are regular civilians. Bankers, writers, thugs, mobster, failing musicians. This is a special projects group. It sorta looks like Lee Adama's Angels. They often are called in by the police force to investigate special cases (skrull invasions, vampires, mutants, rogue crappy mates). They know everything that happens on Minimate Shelf.
  13. The main toys r us I hit had a restock this morning. The one I hit on my way home (which is still set up like 80s with aisle 7c and diapers in the back on stock rollers) had nothing new, but I found a X-men origins wolverine Special Ops Logan and Deadpool for 4 bucks.
  14. What exactly do people do with that sku number?
  15. went to 4 toys r us in the couple of days, one had wolvie/mags and spidey/lizard peg warmers. I may start picking some up for trades.
  16. So you like that Professor X came with the Hoverchair, but you dislike the hoverchair itself? exactly!!! The lid doesn't sit properly and looks wonky and the "blanket" doesn't fit well, but I still think it makes the figure.

  18. Well ignore me, HRGman hasn't been claimed as a sender, just a recipient. Sorry it was late when I posted the last one.
  19. I shouldn't be on that list, nor should HRGman, so ignore us. we've been claimed.
  20. On a run to pick up a very specific item for a custom I am working on, I managed to pick up minimate packs that I do not collect only because I thought the hair-piece might one day come in handy for a quick custom or a future custom project. For example: The Biker T-800 with Kyle Reese, because I thought Kyle's hair might be a good one to have. The TRU Invisible Woman, because I like the hair and I can't have too many flight stands. Anyone else find themselves purchasing and hoarding pieces? Is it the customizers blight?
  21. I don't even like that character, but I want one of those mates!!! nice work!!!
  22. Thanks for the encouraging feedback guys! Forge was a lot of fun. to work on. Rogue was a sorta "while I wait for the paint to dry on Dazzler" project and she turned out really well. The outback X-men is possibly my favorite x-team so I hope to finish them out with Longshot and some sort of Madelyn Prior. I had some trouble with the decals on Dazzler, so she may get revamp at some point. I did the chest outline in clear waterslide and the star on white waterslide and x-acto cut the starburst out as best I could, but I couldn't get precise as I would have liked to.
