  1. trust me, I logged in. I dont know why I didnt see anyone. I probably did something wrong... but I stayed in there for like 15 minutes just to make sure. I saw no one and there was no chatting going on. *shrugs*
  2. I popped in about 20 minutes ago and saw nobody...
  3. Yeah. Even last weekend when Ady was still controlling when it was open, I went in like 6 different times and 4 of those times there was nobody else in the room. An established party time would be great, imo
  4. Same here. I will be more than happy to help if I can
  5. *falls on knees and begins to blubber...* Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry Im sorry!
  6. Honestly, I dont think that Office Space can be compared to LOTR in the realm of sales. The LOTR mates' sales suffered mainly because of timing and market saturation. I mean, let's face it - LOTR merchandise was everywhere. You couldn't turn around without something reminding you of the trilogy in some way. By the time people were seeing LOTR minimates, they were beginning to get sick of it all. The market was flooded too fast and too abundantly, and in the long run it turned people off to anything related to it. Office Space isn't on that level. It doesn't have to worry about selling its merch to people who are sick of it. Granted, the absense of that problem doesn't dissolve its other potential sales hurdles (like the fact that it's been out for 7 years)... there is still the question of just how well Office mates would do in the market, and who they would be aimed at, and what stores would pick them up. I would imagine maybe Spencers and other similar stores would carry them... I could see Tower and Media Play carrying these, but with both of those out of business, should we be taking that as some sort of sign of what kinds of products the market is wanting? ... I am making myself sad.
  7. I can partially blame Danny for my obsession, as well... I started off wanting to make an online comic book (using traditional pencil/pen drawings), so I did some research to see what other online comics were available and what it would take to make a good one. In that search, I came across Fungal Haven (which is now defunct) and saw how you could use toys to make comics. It took me a while, but I finally warmed up to the idea of doing a picfic as my first venture into the world of online comic creating. So, since I had seen how well minimates worked for picfics, I decided to do some research into these minifigs... and that's when I came across Minimates Central. Once there, I quickly realized that I needed to begin collecting them. And the rest is history
  8. Yeah, I just got mine too. Thanks to JL, and everyone else involved
  9. http://www.minimatemultiverse.com/index.php?showtopic=992 They really do seem cool. The first time I saw them, I thought they looked kinda dumb. But the more I look at them, the more I am beginning to like them. And from what I understand, they're even more likeable in person...
  10. hot stuff, TBT. Definitely a quality piece
  11. Yeah, that's the thing. I totally am doing this for my own enjoyment and not to get ratings (or I most likely would have given up a while ago). But one of the things I am really getting into is the ability to stretch myself artistically, and the area that I'm really wanting to focus on doing that with is my storytelling (since Ive never really concentrated on that too much in the past). So I figured I'd ask around and see what kind of stretching I could do with my storytelling abilities and all that. The day that I begin tailoring my strip to what everyone else wants is the day I stop making strips. For now (and hopefully till I die) I just want to make the best strip I can make. Limiting myself only to what I would naturally do when left to my own thought process is a good way to hinder the progression of good storytelling Yeah, I almost impressed myself with that floury jibber jab
  12. As per the request of a couple of cooler people on the board, I am going to post here when I update over at MMA... Just to let you all know, my updating schedule is every Friday Anyway, there is a new issue up (and also a newly listed deleted scene). I know it's not officially friday yet for some of you, but it is for me... sorta. On another note - I was looking through my plans for future issues, and noticed something that I wanted to ask y'all about. What do you like to read more: 1) a continuing, ongoing, multipart storyline (where I use like 5 to 10 consecutive issues to tell one story) or 2) evenly spaced stories, where one story is being told one week, but wont be touched on again till maybe a month later, all the while, there are like 10 different stories being told. That's how I am currently doing the site (great example; the 'Bullying 101' issues) I dont think I will ever totally stop the evenly spaced stories. I can't, cuz there are so many characters... but my question is; should I start throwing in more multi(consecutive)issue story archs? Or do you all like it the way it is currently going? Or does it really not matter at all? Any input you guys want to give would be great Thanx
  13. Yeah, I have to agree that your news pages are worth keeping. I'm always going to MMC to check and see what updates are being done there... and even if the news is something that I've read somewhere else, it's good to have everything there on your page (as Ady said) all together and presented. The fact that you link to other sites in your news updates, and the way you summarize everything, is very complimentary to the structure of this community. It's a great hub, if you will. Plus, you sometimes highlight stuff that people may miss if they don't stay on top of the other sites on an hourly basis Even if you streamlined your site down to just reviews, I would still constantly check it to see what's going on. But I would miss the news sections, for sure.
  14. I have to say, that's pretty creative! I'm interested in seeing what other customs you are/will be working on
  15. sweet petunia pie! those are some amazing customs! that kid definitely has talent. I'd love to see what kind of artistic masterpieces he ends up producing in the next 10-20 years.
  16. Yeah, I have to agree! Im impressed. It's very sleek, and very dynamic. *2 thumbs up*
  17. Yeah, I have to agree! That site design is top notch! Its a very sleek look, and all the content is well presented. two big thumbs up on that!
  18. Oh, and btw - welcome aboard And yes, that "just the odd few" mentality will indeed grow into a "I want them all, even the rereleases that bear no noticable difference to the originals" mentality. It did with me
  19. Yeah, I made that mistake. The pictures are now floating around the internet, even though he promised to keep them a secret! just kidding TBT!
  20. Iron Man looks like an old balding guy with a beer belly. But I like Ghost Rider.
  21. That is amazing. Simply... amazing. You have definitely stretched the boundaries of creative limits with this entry, Luke. Mad props to you, my friend... mad props.
  22. Seriously awesome looking mates. I love that Cylon. I want an entire army. Thousands ... no, millions! Is anybody going to want about 100 extra red-dress Six minimates?
  23. sounds good to me. I will actually have a chance to get work done during the week, then
  24. Please excuse me from never talking on here ever again. I can't find the keys on the keyboard, nor would I know what to reply to anyway, since I just jabbed my eyes out with searing metal rods.
