The Minimate Factory: Updated May 5th
Jeff replied to luke314pi's topic in Custom Creations & Artwork!
Luke, Can I feature your multiple man decal as the next recipe on the minimate cookbook? -
Reminds me of the video game version from the recent iPad app. Bring on orko!!
-
Added yet another tab to show off my other two blogs: Revenge of the Kneel Before Blog and I love being a turtle.
-
aww...shucks. Three new recipes listed! http://theminimatecookbook.wordpress.com/
-
WHOA....nicely done!!
-
Thanks!! I have several postings for tomorrow. Should make a lot of ff fans happy.
-
Liney, Mind if I use your idea for she-thing on the minimate cookbook?
-
Now that I have a couple ( a mere three customs posted), I was thinking in the near future of adding a 'baked goods' tab at the top which would showcase pictures of recipes that people actually tried out. Half the fun is coming up with the idea, the other half is seeing it actually made. So- if anyone has the parts, time, and would like to try one out and send me a snapshot, I'll be glad to post it for all to see if you'd like.

New custom posted....from the best worst movie of all time.
-
Thanks! I did a couple sketches first and tossed around a few ideas before settling on what I have now. I'm really happy with how it turned out and have a template to do new posts fairly quickly. I have a few in mind but if anyone has a "love to see...." Let me know and I'll see what I can come up with! (: MST3K fans....you'll be in for a treat soon...

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I thought Pyro was a little lonely, so I posted my Blob recipe as well.......

Wait no longer jcastick-- and everyone! It's here! http://theminimatecookbook.wordpress.com First up- the long overdue PYRO! Let me know your thoughts- I'd love to hear everyone's take on this. Enjoy! I know I did!!

I'll be completely honest with you Zach and everyone here for that matter: I'd rope myself into this category to a certain extent BUT...I'm trying to be optimistic about the situation. For as much as I complain that we still don't have a brotherhood set- DST has really impressed me over the years with the sheer number of waves with consistent figures, uniquely sculpted pieces, and the involvement on the forums and creating fan choice polls on TRU. I don’t have a Blob yet? No biggie. I’ll just make my own with the pieces I have in my collection. Problem solved. (And for those of you who to know how to make your own Blob I'll be posting that soon on Minimate Cookbook, my new DIY blog) If you don’t like something, don’t look at it/buy it/etc. Move on. Life’s too short to be negative. Worrying is a misuse of the imagination anyway.

With the addition of blink, I'm wondering if we'll get at least a cameo/flashback/flash forward? to an age of apocalypse scene: Blink: " and I thought my reality was bad" (: -
Just posted to Facebook. LOVE these!! Want to buy two so I can make a custom Tom Servo from MST3K!! Keep posting those pics!!

The Minimate Cookbook is coming! Is DST releasing a book I’m not aware of? Sadly no. The Minimate Cookbook is a blog I’m creating inspired by all the various customs debuting here on the Multiverse. It’s my way of saying thanks to everyone here who keeps fueling my hobby and making it such a fun one at that. It's essentially a DIY style blog that's unlike anything out there....as far as I know- correct me if I'm wrong! How is this different from other custom blogs? Ah, good question. My blog won’t showcase completed customs. Instead, I wanted The Minimate Cookbook to be just as the title states: a cookbook for how to make your own custom Minimates. Imagine you and a friend wanted to make a coffee cake from scratch- you’d need the ingredients and most importantly the recipe. Granted, the finished cakes would both be coffee cakes but each one would be slightly different from one another. That is my frame of thinking for this blog. I provide the tools and point of reference with easy do it yourself style graphics and let you paint the canvas, so to speak. Ultimately, I’d love to showcase the final ‘cooked’ recipes on the site in either the same post or a showcase page to get people more involved and coming back for fresh ideas to spruce up their collection and customizing skills. As much as I want to create EVERY custom that comes to mind- I simply don’t have the time but would still love to share my ideas and tips with those who do in a fun blog that everyone can benefit from. When is it going to be up and running? Soon—I hope. I have a few ideas for customs I’ve yet to mention on the forums that I was saving for a rainy day situation- which evolved into this blog. I already have the basic layout and I'm working through some graphic icons to make it all come together. Thanks for reading! Questions? Comments?

Son_Gokus customs (Wrecking Crew Page 3)

Was it the curved or straight flight base? Excellent idea. Never even thought about the potential of using hot glue to sculpt with! Awesome custom- and great hair sculpt on goku. -

Thanks for all the votes for earthworm Jim and aoa!! Great show, great job everyone! (: -
Loving this set- Maestro especially. I don't have a scan of it-- but I'd love to see a custom Marvel Ruins Hulk (the not so pleasant alternate version of Marvels where)

nike air mags with working power laces. I've come close to that. A movie buff from my work when ballistic when I told him I was going to be Marty for Halloween. He found a hoverboard prop for me that I have on display in my basement. I remember seeing it under glass while waiting in line at the BTTF the ride in Florida years ago and a la Wayne's World thought to myself: "OH YES. IT WILL BE MINE." Many many years later I have it and get goose bumps every time I pick it up. If only it actually worked. Two more years right? (:
