  1. It's actually easier for me if you send them all at once rather than in small batches, it just makes it easier to keep track. Ahhh last years no#24 picture...if you think that's an "oh my picture" McDurg then Lukes would have had you blush profusely. T. I used that picture as a guide for this year's contest. 90% of my images now feature partial nudity.
  2. Well that depends. If you're referring to the regular specialty market releases... Waves 1, 2 and 3 looked like this. Waves 4 through 11. Color change on Waves 12 and 13 Larger boxes with J-Hooks on Wave 15 Color change on Wave 16 Color change on Wave 17 and 18 Another color change on Wave 19 and 20 The TRU packs went through a couple iterations... 5-Packs 4-Packs New style to match change in 2-Packs 'Hard to store' version Then there are the weird exclusives... Single packs Larger boxes Bagged promos Bagged promos with header cards And the box sets... 6-Pack 10-Pack New 4-Packs with hard to store boxes and Darktide. After all that, I'm not really surprised they are changing the packaging.
  3. And here we go! Meet Agent Velour, a cross between Zapp Branigan, Roger Moore, and David Hasselhoff. (Yes. I am an immature eight year old trapped in a grown man's body. But like Descartes said, 'I am what I am." )
  4. Thanks guys. And yes TM2, Marisol is barefoot. She is also free of any restrictive undergarments as well.
  5. Picked up this set and thought I'd share some images and opinions. Packaged shots: The Man With No Name (click to enlarge): John Baxter: Ramón Rojo: Marisol: Accessories: Random thoughts: -Marisol turned out really nice. The hair/cloak headpiece really adds to the figure and looks great. -I like the open poncho a lot more than the full cover one from the previous set. -Hairpiece pegs seem different. The tips are slightly larger and give a satisfying 'snap' when you push it in. -I saw BTTF long before 'Fistful of Dollars' and it spoiled the ending for me. Still a great flick. A great friggin' flick! -I'm looking forward to the Good, Bad, and Ugly set even more now. "When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk"
  6. Similar anecdotal experience in my neck of the woods. Although one or two Spidey/Hobgoblin packs linger, practically none of the Cylon packs made it below $20 before being purchased. Of course it probably didn't help that I was buying them at regular price so FYE probably wasn't as quick to mark them down.
  7. Who am I kidding? I was going to post them whether anybody asked or not. I wish I could remember what the funny was. Intently listening to a question from the audience. A full size crop of the crane rider.
  8. I wasn't able to get pics from the Minimate panel because my seat wasn't 'photographically advantageous', but I do have a couple pics of Chuck and Digger playing with a Minimate during the toy panel on Friday if anyone is interested.
  9. Sounds good. I didn't see a MMMV-meet-up panel room reservation in the programming schedule. Whose job is it to entice Chuck to down to the pub? My Spidey costume doesn't fit like it used to.
  10. I can oblige. I think it works. The hairpiece seems to sit the tiniest smidge higher on this head, but it's only noticeable when you do a direct comparison.
  11. All of 'em. But that's just because there's a gecko that lives in my head who will eat my eyes if I don't have the whole set.
  12. Still just one variant per case. I don't know how CSC could offer such a good deal on them without losing money, but then, I don't know what their wholesale price for Minimates is. . . I think it depends on where you get your cases. Back in this thread I mentioned purchasing 3 BSG Wave 3 variant sets and 3 Star Trek Wave 2 variant sets from AFX. They shipped what looked to be DST factory sealed cases, both containing 3 variant sets. (Pics in the link.) Of course, just because they are doing two different assortments for BSG and Trek doesn't mean they are also doing it for Marvel. But it certainly looks like they are giving certain high-volume retailers even packed assortments across the product line.
  13. There's a bit of info (including an FAQ link) in this previous thread. Login to your store account (different from your Radical account) by clicking "Your Account" near the top of the DST page. Then click the "My Points" link, then the "Redeem Points" link for a list of currently available rarities. The current list is: 2005 Santa Spider-Man Minimate (150 points) BSG Series 1 Signed Chief Tyrol Figure (250 points) BSG Wizard World Chicago "T1" Unpainted Six Figure (200 points) BTVS Holiday Willow Figure (200 points) BTVS World Tour Willow Figure (200 points) Serenity SDCC 2005 Signed "T1" Unpainted Jayne Figure (250 points) Signed Aaron Douglas 8 x 10 Photo (80 points) Star Trek Gold Classic Enterprise (500 points) Star Trek SDCC TWOK Genesis Khan Figure (200 points) Star Trek Spock Elf Minimate (100 points) Stargate Free Comic Book Day Jack O'Neill Figure (150 points) Stargate Series 3 Signed Mitchell Figure (250 points) $1 ~= 1 point (apart from 2X or 3X promotions). So it's a nice bonus if you buy from DST regularly, but I don't know if it will alter my buying habits.... until a gold or silver spidey shows up.
  14. There is one image out there. Of course it doesn't help much.
  15. One of the alternate models for the new Lego Stegosaurus is a big green T.Rex with glowing eyes. I think in the Creator lines they include instructions for the various alt models. (bottom-center)
  16. Why do people presume to speak for others? ... Trekker wasn't speaking for anyone else, he was just using the Royal 'We'.
  17. According to their respective DST product pages: Incredible Hulk & Bruce Banner, Abomination & Emil Blonsky, Battle Damage Hulk & Betty Ross and the variant Battle Damage Hulk & General Ross Mark III Iron Man & Pepper Potts, Iron Monger & Tony Stark, Jim Rhodes & Mark I Iron Man and the variant Jim Rhodes & Mark II Iron Man
  18. Oooh, a snippit of video has been leaked. Creepier than I thought it would be. Here's the link, I've mirrored it on my photobucket account in case the original gets taken down. (Alternate version)
  19. Thank you, thank you for that link. I wouldn't have found it without someone calling my attention to it. Clicking the images brings up a nice 700px wide version. It's the first time I've been able to get a good look at some of these posters. I sense copyright infringement in my future.
  20. So I'm the only one with a custom designed MySQL relational database containing precise counts of every Minimate pack I own broken down into various conditions, weights, and anti-gravitational properties? Way to go guys, make me feel like an outsider. I'm actually afraid to run the query to get a count. Afraid that it could be too high and I wouldn't be believed. Afraid that it could be too low and I'd have to blow my stimulus check at www.shopafx.com. Afraid that it would be just right and I would fall into a contented slumber, and the bears would devour me with their mighty jaws.
  21. I'm also a proponent for Ghostbusters Minimates. One thing Minimates have going for them over regular action figures is they don't require actor-likeness licensing. The long standing rumor is that Bill Murray won't approve any figure likeness[citation needed] so they never get made. And obviously the rest of the guys won't sell without Venkman. From what I understand Minimates would skirt this issue completely. With the popularity of this franchise, I'm surprised this deal hasn't been done yet. That leads me to believe there is some other factor preventing Ghostbusters Minimates. My guess is Columbia/Tristar/Sony/whoever probably want too much for the license. But for all we know, someone owns the copyright to Harold Ramis's eyeglass frame style and is depriving us of such wonderful toys.
  22. So, Geoff is a Buffalonian who gave up on construction work. Learn something new every day, I guess.
  23. Nope, not done yet. Still got The Tumbler, Robin's Scuba Jet, Batcycle/Harley's Hammer Truck, and Batman's Buggy hitting B&M soon.
