  1. I've always been curious if there is a "Most Ignored Members" report available for Admins/Moderators.
  2. As I walk by the newsstand I still glance at the covers of these. Just to make sure that the women on the covers haven't started laughing at me again.
  3. Grand Admiral Groundhog has a great many scary and mysterious powers. Unfortunately time travel is not among their number. Though I have no doubt it will be added to the repository in short order. *A thousand apologies exalted Grand Admiral. Please do not spite me for pointing out your only inadequacy.*
  4. There are other ideas brought up in the 'DST/Art Asylum Q&A' thread (starting here). You know, where we usually discuss the Q&As.
  5. Working on a reorganization and this is the scary first step. Clickey makey biggery. Very few duplicates apart from the Cylons over in the BSG pile. It's hard to get a good feel for the perspective. The Marvel pile is taller than Stilt Man.
  6. Praise be to Lurch, for your eloquence is matched only by your mellifluence. Your stirring speech reminds of quotation from another great man, regarding the TRU shortpacks.
  7. Twern't nuthin'. I think we're all missing the obvious option for the big Toy Fair news... the Kellogg's Minimates are finally being released to the delight of all. Follow your nose!
  8. Do you mean this one, posted Jun 15, 2009? If so, then your claim does not hold. I posted more than a year before on April 10, 2008. But Pete beat that on March 12, 2008 and included a photo to boot. But even Pete was beat on May 3, 2007 by the well known member Heatwave316. Yet still not the first, as there was a request by another highly obscure member on December 9, 2006 in the very thread you "first" posted in.
  9. Yeah, that leaked lineup for the first box set looks great!
  10. Wow, sounds a bit overkill. I can see it now, ten minutes of "And this one's knee won't bend either" and "Look at all the flashing on this one". Chuck won't treat you like you're insane, but he'd be thinking it. I think one pack would get your point across, and I doubt you'd have to go through the whole 'untampered' routine. From my experience he's receptive to feedback. But when push comes to shove, he puts the needs of the business first. I haven't been keeping up on the quality complaints, but apart from Spidey Friends and Foes, it seems like most of the problems have been with TRU packs. In my mind this is understandable, it's the same with all mass-market toys. TRU wants a lower cost and has less particular consumers. They can cut cost by cutting corners (QC, paint apps, etc.) It's a tradeoff they've made to get toys in the stores. This probably isn't applicable to the other complaints, but Wave 9 was probably rushed to get it in the stores by Christmas. It wasn't entirely successful but the factory was trying to meet a deadline and was a bit more lax. *It seems like I always end up defending Chuck. I wonder why that is? Probably something from my childhood. Maybe I didn't eat enough Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Too much perhaps? Maybe that chemistry kit was a bad idea. I never did get that pony. Should've listened to my parents when they said KITT was not a role model. Probably shouldn't have slept with Moss Man and Stinkor under my pillow.*
  11. But wait... He's a Transformers guy, you're a Transformers guy, shouldn't you be good friends? Isn't everyone convivial in the Transformers fandom?
  12. Yeah, there's a bit of discussion in the Halo thread. Starting with Luke's post.
  13. Another Gimp fan here. All my image work (apart from 3D) is done with it. If you're used to Photoshop there will be a learning curve, but it's worth the time investment in my opinion.
  14. You know, I tried the database last night before posting, but the belt tags don't denote if it wraps around the waist or slides down the torso peg. Yeah, sorry about that. I didn't see the distinction initially, but I agree they are functionally different. I'll add it to the list of new tags and hopeful get it in a future upgrade.
  15. Ahhh, I like where this thread is going. The crossover potential is limitless, but who would play Daisy? The General Lee, Moonshine-Runner of Hydra is inspired.
  16. This is just due to DST proceeding cautiously. The last video game line bit them. There are a ton of new molds for the armor and aliens and such. I think it's more important to get that right than have another weapon right now. I'm sure as the line progresses we'll see new stuff. They'll add new molds and continue to use the old ones. Take Marvel for comparison. The early waves had very few accessories or unique molds. Compared to what we get now, it's virtually night and day. They'll let the line get some legs then we'll see all the different accessories show up.
  17. Wait, wait, wait. Does this mean that when the Dukes of Hazzard Minimate Vehicle line hits stores* the General Lee is just going to be an old, orange Charger? If that's the case, it better still play Dixie or I ain't buyin'. *Been a long time a comin'.
  18. Remember folks, look inside the little windows on the packaging. They're not there to just help the poor claustrophobic Minimates.* DST kindly put them there for you to use as well. Please pay attention. Don't be like Ivan, don't be a dip. *Not all Minimates are claustrophobic, just the pansy ones.
  19. Didn't know about the extra layer on the counterdumps BHM, how many sets of 12 come per outer-case? I must say I'm getting better though. I haven't kept any of the opened two-pack or box set packaging for quite a few waves now. Yet despite a massive closet reorganization last week, I still couldn't bring myself to toss out the older boxes. It's history! Well, that's my excuse anyway.
  20. Ooh, ooh. What about the army builder counter dumps? I keep the plastic tray inside the little 1.5 sq. in. box, of which twelve are inside the counter display, which is itself inside the original brown cardboard shipping box. (Which is inside a nice BBTS box, but I digress.) Alas my accessories are kept elsewhere, cataloged but disorganized. Judge all you like, I've done worse things.
  21. Just off the top of my head... All of the Ghostbusters in uniform have elbow pads (example), but it looks like it would take a bit of trim work. The Razor Cylons have long gloves, but they aren't smooth. Some C3ers had long gloves: Batgirl, Batman, Catwoman. If you want 2.5" there is the Uruk-hai Crossbowman. Then there's always Marvel: Captain America, Neo-Classic Iron Man, Silver Centurion, Wasp, Moon Knight, Susan Richards, Titanium Man.
  22. Ahh, all is right with the world again. Glad it was nothing catastrophic.
  23. Thanks everyone. I'm surprised to see so many iPhones, but I guess I really shouldn't be. May need to rethink my roadmap. And thanks for the tip on Gingerbread, Turtle. I think I can hold out in exchange for not having to do it twice. I knew 2.3 was on the horizon, but I didn't know how close.
