  1. There are a lot of the same figures coming up in both of the lists. Should be easy for someone to tally the votes up and we could have a definitive list.
  2. Gratz to you and your family Turtle!
  3. Interesting to see that Terminator Salvation's poor box office (and presumably toy sales) meant that the T2 line was cut back.
  4. I gotta admit, I took pictures of this set over the weekend for review later on, and I'm just not feeling them. I guess it doesn't help that I have no familiarity with Secret Wars.
  5. It IS Rage against the Machine. The UK public, sick and tired of each Christmas being taken over by the hype machine for the X-Factor (reality singing contest like your American Idol) winner, this year got behind an internet campaign to get "Killing In The Name" - yes, the track which goes "fuck you I won't do what you tell me" - to be the UK Christmas number one. And it did! In your face Simon Cowell! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8423340.stm
  6. Really, really, stupidly pleased right now. It's a victory for music and rock music in particular, it proves that grass-roots endeavours can work if the mainstream catch on to them. Rage against the X-Factor!
  7. It does seem from the reaction on here that the M.A.X. Jet is the clear winner of those shown. I guess because it's just a generic jet, and we all have certain ideas and expectations of what the Delorean should look like which the prototypes are not meeting - I agree with those that say it is too tall. I would imagine it's that way to comfortably fit 2 Minimates inside, but it sure looks odd.
  8. Thanks to everybody who put pics up in this thread, most especially jboogie for taking on people's requests. Those pictures of FA Jean Grey made me go straight out and bug Luke to add the FA X-Men set to my order. She is absolutely gorgeous!
  9. It really is one of the Minimate questions of the ages
  10. I read it wrong and thought they'd made a proper Terminator Hunter-Killer jet for a minute. That would have been cool. Not feeling the designs for these, but then I thought the BSG vehicles were horrible-looking too. The jet is the best one and I'm intrigued as to what they have planned for Mobile Action Xtreme - which does sound like an early 90s CGI cartoon
  11. Welcome to the Multiverse. You take some lovely pictures there and are very positive about the figures! Good stuff
  12. I am dubious to see if they can make lightning strike twice. The first game was absolutely incredible but I worry they will rush this new one out to capitalise on the license and quality will suffer, which will be a real shame as the first one has so many loving touches to the Batman mythos.
  13. Always good to see another UK Minimate fan, welcome aboard
  14. Welcome to the Multiverse, I'm sure you'll find it a fun and friendly place to hang out
  15. Thanks fwoosheyman. I guess it's a good thing they are targeting a convention near to the ship date, I would also expect an SDCC exclusive later on in the summer.
  16. In the end I couldn't decide between the Broken wall diorama and the Training Room one. The Broken Wall is gritty and dark but the Training Room looks like a lot of fun! So I ordered both full dioramas, the decal kit and some Minimates Luke I really think these are gonna be big! Best of luck to you with these, you obviously have my full support!
  17. It is a no brainer DST doing IM2 Minimates. I do have one question though - What's a "C2E2 convention"?
  18. No plans to start reviewing SHS - Minimates Central is so far behind Minimates releases anyway! Miry - drop me a PM with your address if you (er, your kids) want the Wrecker SHS figure, I didn't buy the set for him and am not displaying him on my work desk.
  19. I turned to the dark side today and got my first SHS figures. Tesco are doing some new sets and at £7.50 for a set of 4 (Hawkeye, Cap, Spidey and Wrecker) I just thought they'd look cool on my desk at work. I love the pose Hawkeye is in, he looks totally badass!
  20. Aah, fanboy (and girl) debates. How we love thee. Next up: Unicron Vs the Death Star Lion-O Vs He-Man Mumm-Ra Vs Skeletor (actually I think this is the most interesting one as 80s villains are always written to fail)
  21. I am so down for these it's untrue. The Training Room diorama looks fantastic!
  22. The original Spider-Man and Carnage and the original Cap. All amazing for their time and stand up today with the best of them. Recently, well, Iron Monger is just amazing and wave 28's Wolverine is just absolutely perfect.
