It's an age old argument. I do prefer the newer Minimates when they have updated older characters. I think there's a big difference between Invaders Cap and wave 6 Cap, and the newer one just blows the older one away.

I guess it's all about which comics you read. I have no idea who Baron Zemo is. I have no idea who Kang is. I'm fine with them doing all the Spidey villains cos I know them! I think there's a whole group of us who perhaps aren't into the comics as much as the various cartoons, which is why everyone goes mad for Spidey's rogues gallery and all the 90s X-Men.

I am a big fan of Chris Evans and think his portrayal of Johnny Storm is possibly the best piece of casting in superhero films, as he's so spot on for the part. But he's not Cap.

That cartoon was actually from the 90s. I know this because I wasn't around in the 80s, but I recall seeing the second seasons of both shows first run. Oh, and marvel power hour wasn't just those two shows. Occasionally they would also show "Biker Mice from Mars." Clearly the best known of the three. Blimey, I checked Wikipedia and you're right, the Marvel Action Hour was 1994.

I haven't been a completionist for a few years now. Not neccessarily because of price increases though, more because there have been so many of the bloody things released over the last few years! That and the lack of them in the UK, obviously.

My knowledge of Iron Man stems mostly from the cartoon in the 80s. Was it Marvel's Hour of Power with Iron Man and the Fantastic 4? Strange but true fact, 90% of Iron Man Minimates leave me totally cold, yet I love the movie-style ones. I think it is great to see some Iron Man villains though, Mandarin has been high on most people's list for a long time.

I have to admit, I see pictures and revciews of the Iron Man Hot Toys stuff and they really do seem like works of art. I remember seeing the Brad Pitt figure from Inglorious Basterds and thinking it was a still from the film. Amazing stuff!

What's with people asking a billion questions at once? That's just rude, no wonder Chuck got upset. I think this is the most we've got out of him in a while. The biggest news for me is the possibility of a carry case coming. Be very interested in what ideas that has for it!

Croc is definitely one of my favourites in Batman's rogues gallery, and this statue seems so dynamic compared to most.

I didn't think Warpath was outstanding in any way. What do you like about him?

I read that as that you are guaranteed the item if you pre-order rather than it guaranteeing an actual release date.

I am surprised wave 34 came out, especially as it had been pushed back previously. I felt sure they were cracking on with IM2 stuff.

So, am I soft on scores? Or just reviewing Minimates I like? Thanks for your work on this NR, it's very interesting. It doesn't surprise me that 7 is the mark given most commonly. In that case, 7 really is the baseline.

Finally the mystery is revealed! The Mk 5 armour looks good in the packaging pics. I can't wait for all of these, bring 'em all on, I'm a completist for IM2 for sure!

At the risk of sounding a bit "Captain Obvious", I think they really need to focus on getting the IM2-related stuff out. Toy aisles are full of gold and red already, we need our IM2 Minimates on shelves now! Who's betting that the TRU wave comes out first out of all of the items?

I did think about that, given DST's awful track record with getting Toyfair reveals to retail but I thought the ship I bought was very good value regardless of whether we get Minimate pirates or not. At the very least I view it as a cool playset for my existing Minimates as you can see from the pics.
