  1. Where at? greenwood. I havnt been to Castleton probably for over a month.
  2. finished the legs, almost done with the torso.
  3. cool, thats the set my son wants too!! he will be getting it for his birthday in December:)
  4. ok some more pics. almost finished the legs last night but ran out of blue foam stuff. using spray on adhesive. working VERY well! Made some duct tape suspenders and filled in half of the legs with foam so it would fit better around the legs and not be so loose. also cut out section of the leg so he would be able to have a range of movement. Hopefully tonight I will finish the legs and torso, if I get time will make a helemt. going to make a lego darth vader for my 2yo. Just a torso and helmet though, no legs for him.
  5. ya I know. I actually wrote front on it before i test fit it. I had to widen the arm holes, therefore making it fit better backwords. I finished the legs and made some duct tape suspenders for them was going to wrap everything in colored vinyl, but couldnt find blue, so I got some of the really thin (2mm) craft foam paper. hopefully going to start the finishing steps tonight. will post more pics.
  6. they are nice, but I wont be getting them. also their weapons are molded into there hands so you cant take them off.
  7. I like the guide...for what it is. a "guide" and not a definitive price list. unfortunatly I see thats how its being taken. I generally wont make offers on items that people specify they are using the guide as there pricing list. The reason is this: I see some items on the guide go for much cheaper on ebay. it doesnt happen all the time and maybe a one or two time thing. but knowing that it went for less, that cheaper price point is what I have in my head of what I want to pay because I know it can get cheaper then the guide elsewhere in the internet. I dont make offers because I dont want to offend anyone that wants to get guide prices for their mates. if people want to use the guide as a price list, I think thats fine, but (for me) I usually skip those listings. so in a sense it hurts the seller, as they could have had a sale from me, but I didnt want to pay guide prices, nor do I want to be offensive with an offer. I dont lowball, and imo, its not worth haggling over a dollar or two and possibly making the seller mad, I dont want to burn bridges . so I simply pass out of respect. I like when people post pricing, gives me a good idea if the seller is open to any negotiation and/or what true resale prices are. maybe I am a cheap ass looking for a deal, but thats my .02
  8. so I started his costume the other day. I am making a prototype out of cardboard. going to build the real costume out of 1" polystyrene. I almost have the legs done will post more tomorrow.
  9. took about a week, but pretty much all sold out at the Southside TRU. and I didnt buy a single one, of course I didnt want to though.
  10. my son want to be a Lego power minor for Halloween, so I will get some pics of the build. wish me luck! Here is my basis. http://gizmodo.com/5355398/boba-fett-lego-costume
  11. Ivan I need you to say this is a joke. I mean I know it is a joke I just need to see you confirm it. <snip> Now I don't have the insider information that Luke has but I think the writing is on the wall. Time to stick a fork in it. Insert cliche #3 involving a large woman. There is a preponderance of evidence that indicates the line is done. Scraping the bottom of the barrel for themed box sets. They've already made (and remade) the figures everyone cares about. They have to resort to stuff like New Mutants(?!) to put new figures. Two sets from Age of Apocalypse? A minor 'event' that nobody really cared about? Bottom.. of.. the.. barrel. The next specialty market waves (38+) will likely be based on the new Cap and Thor movies. But those are obviously just to meet contract requirements. Marvel movies have been flops at the box office and related merchandise hasn't sold at all. The partnership with TRU is an obvious last ditch effort to save the line. Why else would they associate with a company that's been teetering on the edge of bankruptcy for the last decade? Speaking of retailers, the recent announcement of a Disney Store exclusive is the nail in the coffin. Selling new product to a company and brand that virtually nobody has heard of?? Sounds pretty desperate to me. You guys better learn to like Halo. That's your Minimate future right there. in a nutshell thats EXACTLY what happened to mighty muggs. Hasbro hasnt thrown in the towl on them...but has said they will primarily only produce more muggs themed to movies. IE: Thor muggs with the Thor Movie. Otherwise they arent going to make regular waves.
  12. found all of them on wednesday wt the greenwood TRU. wierd though, they are supposed to get trucks on Friday not wednesday. only bought the namor pack for now. had all the monsters as well.
  13. still nothing in Greenwood. havent checked castleton.
  14. I got the Mexican Hombre, Pharaoh, Karate Master, and the Downhill Skier. ...all up for trade as I dont collect, just wante to buy them for fun of a blind bag.
  15. I am glad you found a job. thats a tough field to land a job, as there arent that many open positions.
  16. they were also at SDCC.. personally, I dont like them nor do I want them. I will only be mad that they dont make the same charactors in the larger mugg sizes like Cad Bane, IG88, etc...
  17. My TRU got a box in about a month or so ago. I bought 4 packs. I went back later in the day to get more and they were all gone!
