Captain Paco

Looking for Customs that can be made without sculpting or massive painting and without any Marvel parts as I never got into collecting Marvel Minimates. I got into it for Star Trek and DC and I want to make customs to go with either of those franchise. I am looking for Namor and the Atlatian Solder so I can make an Andorian from the blue skined figure. I am open to some minor details if needed but something a sharpie can do. I have made a custom Captain Janeway, Gladiator McCoy and Admiral Kirk after he took over the Enterprise in Star Trek the Motion Picture. I thus also havea small crew to go with the main characters (four and three of them are science department people). I have some BSG Mates to use as parts. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Let me cast my votes: For TOS: I would like to see a wave that is Movie Spock & Movie Uhura (variant could be ST4 Spock in robes), Saavik & Dr. David Marcus, and TMP Spock & TMP Kirk (to go with Decker & Ilia). Another TOS wave: Movie Sulu & Movie Chekov, Movie Khan & Dr. Carol Marcus (variant could be Ravaged Khan), and Dr. Jillian Taylor & Movie McCoy. A chaser package could be Valeris and Chang from ST6. An alien box set: Andorian (Whom Gods Destroy), Talosian Keeper (The Cage), Romulan, Mugato (Private Little War) and the Salt Vampire. Would like to get a parts box set to make red shirts for the doomed landing teams as well as a few basic crewmembers. For TNG: I would like to see a wave of Riker & Troi in uniform (Variant - Troi in jumpsuit/dress), Data & LaForge, and Worf & Guinan. Another wave would be Dr. Crusher (Variant would be Dr. Pulaski) & Wesley, Yar & Romulan Commander Tomalok, Gowron & O'Brien. A second wave would be Picard in captain's jacket (variant would be Dixon Hill) & First season LaForge in red, Sela & Troi as Romulan, and Captain Garrett & Lt Castillo from Yesterday's Enterprise. A box set of Nurse Ogawa, Robin Lefler, Keiko O'Brien, Barclay, & Q (and could include parts to make security team members and Judge Q and Keiko's wedding dress.) DS9: Dr Bashir & Quark, Nira & Vedek Bareil, and Jadzia and Work (in DS9 uniform)-Variant could be Ezri Dax. next wave: O'Brien & Rom, Nog & Jake, and Yates & Kia Winn (variant would be Kia Opaca). A DS9 box set of a Jem'Hadar, Odo, Morn, Weyoun and Martok. VGER: a box set of Janeway, Tuvok, Paris, Kim & the Doctor (with a part to make the Doctor the ECH) and a second box set of Chakotay, B'Ellana, Seven of Nine, Neelix and Kes (with parts to make them go from Marquis to Starfeet and for 7 to go from borg to silversuit.) Enterprise: a box set of Archer (with Porthos), Tucker, Sato, Mayweather & Reed. A second box set: Hayes, T'Pol, Suliban, Phlox and Dr. Soong. However, I know we can all dream but I am not holding my breath until they are made because we will not likely see them unless someone makes them underground or is very busy customizing. Those are my dream minimates from the Trek universe.

Luke314pi, I would difinitely purchase decals from you for Star Trek or even if you customized Star Trek Minimates I would purchase them from you. I am really wanting a Worf, Data, Geordi, Deanna and Riker for my collection. I even want an O'Brien in my collection. I am not good at sculpting but would consider painting and decaling to make my crew. I will be keeping up on your site to see how you are coming. I am a fan of your work and visit your site frequently. I am thinking of purchasing a few Obama minimates but have not figured out how many I want yet. Thank you, CaptainPaco

The Holy Grail for my Minimate Collection would be Elf Spock. I was able to get my hands on a Unification Spock and now all I need is Elf Spock to complete my Star Trek Minimate Collection which is really all I collect. I would love to also get my hands on Flash & Grodd and Classic Batman & Clayface. I broke down and opened all my DC minimates yesterday to finish a custom I am making for an Orion Animal Woman. I wanted different and wild hair for her so I openned my BD Wonder Woman & Cheetah to use Cheetah's hair. like Cheetah better with the Orion Animal Woman's hair so it is a win/win for me. I would also like to get my hands on Lady Liberty from Ghostbusters to be even happier.

Who is in the "Best of Ghostbusters Wave 2" Assortment? I still need the subway ghost, Lady Liberty and the mayor to be happy with my Ghostbusters set.

I liked these MAX figures. I can't wait to get all Firefighter figures as my family as been involved in Firefighting for years. I will get the police and special forces as well. I too wish there was a Female in the any of the set as well as an African-American or an Asian. We need more ethnic diversity in minimates. I will be looking for the pirates collection as well. I wish they would do a set of civilians so the DC and Marvel mates can protect someone. Never have seen the mates that were reportedly to honor Father's day. Guess they were a bust. I am trying to do some customizing but do know what to do for easy to do. I have read that sharpies are used a lot but when I colored one of my minimates blue via a sharpie but it smears and rubs off. So I want to know how to fix problem. I am also looking for info about anyone that makes Star Trek decals or stickers for Minimates. I want to make a crew for my minimates but can't afford to keep buying star trek mates and would be willing to convert my BSG mates I bought to use for parts. I have two of the Orion Slave Girl and I repainted one of them to have a gold dress with purple details and a gold arm band. I just need to find some wild hair for her. I was going to use President Roslin's hair but it is to plain. I then thougt about using Cheetah's hair but it has ear on it and I do not have the same shade of green to paint them to match. I may give her Athena's Hair to make her look more regal than the original Vina. Any way, any help would be appreicated in making the crew of the USS Enterprise or even commander Riker. I have two Picards and was thinking how to make a Riker. I even may make a Deanna Troi from Ilia's body and then using Red Son Wonder Woman's hair. I would make Troi as she appeard in "Encounter at Fairpoint since Ilia's dress is sort of like that style already just needs repainted. Thank you, CaptainPaco.

I would love to get my hands on the Universal Monsters sets but my TRU is always behind on getting minimates. MisterMiracle where are you? I am in Central IL. I wish they would have had them, I always miss the also. I am still looking for the new Fantastic Four releases as well and Lady Liberty from Ghostbusters.

I was going to try to make a few figures to make and entry but could not come up with just who to mix and match. I was going to do the crew from Battlestar Enterprise. Cpt. Bill T. Kirk, Mr. Tigh, Engineer Tyrol, Lt. Dualla, Lt. Hikaru Adama, Ensign Kara Chekov and then Dr. Baltar, Nurse Athena, Yoeman Six, and so forth, but I could not get the look I was going for. So I decided not to do any entry in this time. I will be working on trying my hand at customizing so next time I can give it a go. Love the work I have seen an I wish I had a few of the customs here. Dark Claw and Iron Lantern are awesome jobs. All are good but those two are ones I wish I had. Thank you for sharing.

I just picked up the most recent GB wave at TRU. I was surprised that the TRU in Bloomington, IL had full pegs on a Monday evening when they generally get their truck on Thursday and by Friday afternoon all the stock is picked over or gone. I got all four sets of this wave. I really like Vigo, The Scolari Bros. and Stay Puft. The GB guys are very cool in how they have captured the look of each character. I even think Gozer is interesting because they did a gret job captureing the character for all the longer she was in the movie. I am now waiting to get the third box set so I can get Janine. I own GB Egon with Library Ghost, Slimed Peter with Clear Slimer with stomach contents (second release), GB Ray with Stay Puft, GB2 Tully with Slimer (first release), Courtroom Peter with Washington Square Ghost, GB Peter with Energized Terror Dog, Box Set One -Peter, Egon, Dana, Terror Dog Tully; Box Set Two -Ray, Winston, Stay Puft and Gozer. I only wish I could get the Taxi Ghost and the Jogger Ghost. Happy Collecting.

I agree with HRGMann. I think if they would have made Wave 3 of Star Trek minimates three packs of TNG and one Pack of TOS and then done same with Wave 4, then Wave 5 could have been DS9 and with one of TOS and so forth. I am attempting a customizing of one Sarek to a Romulan since Mark Leonard did protray both Sarek and a Romulan on the TOS. I would have loved to see Wave 3 be Picard and Data, Variant Picard in Capt.'s Jacket and Data, Will and Worf and then the TOS pack could have been Gladiator Kirk and Kor. The Wave 4 could have been LaForge and Troi, Dr. Crusher and Wesley, Yar and Guinan and the TOS pack could have been Chapel and Rand. Wave 5 could have been Yesterday's Enterprise Yar & Red uniformed LaForge, Red uniformed Data & LT JG Worf in red uniform, Cadet Wesley & Dr Pulaski, and a TOS pack could have been Decker and Ilia from TMP. and so on and so on.

I would like to see it come with a red shirt TOS army and then if they do make a TNG shuttle and more figures then we would need some yellow uniform generics for army builders. I would love to see this happen but I won't hold my breath. I just want the 2 shuttlecraft with or without Spock. (one to open and one to keep sealed.) I have almost all of the minimates for Star Trek except Elf Spock and I have a few in triple. I have a display of them at my office and I have a couple easy customs as well. Gladiator McCoy, Cptn. Janeway I would like to get a second Unification Spock to open one but I am just glad I got the one I have. I may order another gladiator Kirk and Kor to make a gladiator Spock and try to make a custom TOS Klingon. I am working on Bele and an Andorian as well but they are giving me some trouble. Just sharing my thoughts and what I am up to.

I would like to get a Minimate Shuttlecraft for TOS and I would really like to get a TNG shuttle with Data & LaForge. I would then think we could get a Battle Damage shuttle with Troi from "Skin of Evil" Then they can release a box set of Riker, Crusher, Worf and Troi. Then for DS9 could do a Runabout with O'Brien and Jadzia. The a box set of Bashir, Kira, Odo and Quark. Then do a battle damaged Runabout with DS9 Worf and Ezri. Then Voyager could have a Delta Flyer with Paris and Kim then a box set of Janeway, Chakotay, B'ellana and Neelix. Then a second Voyager set could be the Borg Queen, Borgified 7 of 9, Seven of Nine in her silver attire, and a new Borg Drone. Then a battle damaged Delta Flyer with Tuvok and Kes. My dream list of future Star Trek Minimates.

I will likely purchase into the new line but I really like the current version of Minimates. I liked the AA Minimates (3" line that only had Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Gorn, Mugato, Khan.) I have every Star Trek minimate of the 2" line except the unification Spock, which I would like to get one in my collection. I woud like to get more TNG and DS9 of this same style but I think I will have to stop holding my breath. I will keep collecting Minimates but I will always be collecting Star Trek. I know one wish I would make to a genie if I found one, would be to have minimates of all the characters of all the trek serieses made for me to have in my collection at the least. I ordered two sets of that wave of minimates. I wanted to open and make a custom figure with the Commander Sisko body. I was so happy to have known in advance that the Dukat was to have a two faced head. I thought the one face looked like Dumar and thus the more angry one did look more like Dukat so I have them displayed and labeled as such in my display case. I made Captain Janeway with the Commander Sisko body and the hairpiece of New BSG Lt. Boomer with the head of New BSG Callie Tyrol. I have her standing in the case next to Picard and Cpt. Sisko. I have to say that I also got a third Picard/Borg set and I have flipped the arm to the other side and it looks cool so I have two different Borg as well. I was thinking of making a Locutus but Picard does not have a hole in the top of his head for the Borg headpiece. I will likely not do that but I am trying to make a dress uniform Scott with kilt and mirror Scott as well. Time will tell.

Well, have never seen wave 1 of Ghostbuster minimates at my TRU in Central IL (B/N area). I did find three of the wave 2 on the shelf the otherday. I got Lewis and Slimer, Peter and energized Terror Dog, Ray and Stay Puft. I did not see Lab Egon or Winston. I so wish I had the library ghost and the clear Slimer. That is all I wanted from the first wave. I missed ordering them online. Thank you.

I just found Three of the Ghostbuster Wave 2 TRU exclusive sets. Slimer and GB2 Louis, Ray and Stay Puft, and Peter & energized terror dog. No Egon or Wiston packages. Never have seen Wave 1 in my area. I really only need the Library Ghost/Egon pack and the Slimed Peter/Slimer pack if someone could spare an extra one or let me know where to obtain them for a fair price. I also found The Wave 2 BSG sets but only got Athena/Cylon and Six/Tigh sets. Have to hope that they still have the other three on pay day. Have nice evening.

My local TRU is beginning to piss me off. I was told last on Monday that Ghostbuster Minimates were expected on the truck today. I had a dentist appointment on that side of town at the same time TRU openned so had a friend call to hold them for which I was told by the manager that they could and would be willing to do. I get out of my dentist and got a message from my friend who said that he was unable to call at ten because of his work. I get there and they never got any. The one shipment the did get was cleared out in less than five minutes them openning two weeks ago. WHY CAN'T they be more reliable in shipping to the stores. I don't have a credit card so I could not have ordered online and that is not fair that they are sold out all over the place.

I would love for Minimates to return to my local Target and other stores with Toy Departments. TRU is supposedly getting a truck tomorrow with Ghostbuster Minimates only downfall is I have a dentist appointment at the same time they open so I can't get right in to get them and so I will have to try my luck when done at the dentist. I wish they would start making more Star Trek minimates and sell them through TRU. I want Riker, Troi, Worf, Data and Kira, Odo, Bashir, Dax and O'Brien and Quark as minimates really bad.

I have still not gotten any of the TRU 2 packs but I have my GB1 Set 1 Set and I took and extra minimate and used him to make the Terror dog while Tully is standing next to him. Anyone in Central IL, (Bloomington/Normal) seen these yet? please let me know. I am willing to go to Peoria or Champaign if need be, not sure where another TRU is located within an hour of me. I'm about fourty minutes away from Bloomington. I have the same exact turnout at the Rockford TRU. They have the new BSG and Marvel mates but no Ghostbusters. We'll probably get them in around the same time but if Rockford gets 'em first, I'll let you know. That would be great of you. I even asked the only Comic Store in Evansville, IN about them and she knows they placed an order for the boxed set and for any Ghostbusters minimate stuff they could get but have not seen anything yet. I am on her hold list as my cousin could go get them for me but damnit, we should have them here by now. ACME Comics no longer does anything with minimates since getting stuck with a lot of them and no able to get rid of them. I may get a deal on some so I can get heavy into customizing them for my personal collection of Star Trek characters.

I made a Janeway minimate using Commander Sisko's body and BSC Cally's head, hair and hands. I am going to get a New BSG Boomer (Sharon) from series one and use her hair, it just has not arrived yet. It would be Janeway from early in Season Four when she had a ponytail but I did not get a pic from behind, sorry.

I am still waiting for the Ghostbuster Minimates in Central Illinois (Bloomington/Normal). I travelled to visit my cousin in Evansville, IN and went into their Toys r Us and they thought I was off my rocker when I asked if they had received the Ghostbuster minimates yet. I was told "Well, if we have them they would be with the rest of those in that isle." Well, the isle I was refereed to is where the Terminatior and BSG minimates were found. But not any Ghostbusters and then the Marvel minimates were with the Marvel figures and still no Ghostbusters there. I am expecting my box set to be delivered tomorrow. However, I really want the full team of Ghostbusters and as many of the Ghosts as I can get. If any of you are in Central Illinois and know where to fing them, please let me know. Thank you.

I would like the idea mentioned in an earlier of getting a set of the classic monsters (Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, the mummy, the creature from the black lagoon, wolfman, invisible man, phantom of the opera and so forth). I would like to see more from Ace of Cakes/Charm City Cakes esp. Mary Alice. Days of our lives (input from my wife) Star Trek returning, and thatis all I can think of for now.
