Captain Paco

Here are some of the new quick customs I have been working on. My modified Captain Janeway (different hairpiece from last image posted) Trials and Tribble-ations Captain Sisko TOS Doctor M'Benga I will share more later.

I have made a Janeway with the Commander Sisko body and Boomer's hairpiece and I forgot whose hand and face. I am in the process of trying to make a Deanna Troi but it is not going well with my attempt to make decals. I also made Captain Sisko from "Trials and Tribble-ations" I wish they would make more TNG Minimates and DS9 Minimates. I would welcome Any New Non-Kirk and Non-Spock Star Trek minimates.

Well, I hope to get a custom made Mugatu done soon. I have done a few simple head swaps and have now made McCoy and Spock from the episode "Bread and Circuses" to go with Gladiator Kirk. I have ordered some swords for them and will be paining sheilds for them soon to match the color they each had in the episode. I have made Bele and Loki from "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield" but they are are merely on a few extra Pike bodies for now until I decide I want to paint two bodies grey. I have not modified my Andorians since I made them but have been pondering that action. I have two TOS/TOS Movie era Romulan-looking mates. I am going to attempt to make a new skirt for an Orion Woman since I have one that did not come with a skirt in set of bodies/parts I got from TM2 Dinobot. I have ordered a few minimates to use for parts. I am going to try to make M'Ress, who was the feline crew member on the Animated Star Trek Series but I will make her as I think she would look with some Uhura and Cheetah parts. I am also working on a Regular Universe Marlena Moreau and Mirror Universe Nurse Chapel. Just can't get the hair the way I feel it needs to be. I will post images of them all as soon as I get them done and photographed. Have a good day.

I really like the Sulu, Chekov and Cheron you made in the 3" format. I wish I had enough extras of the 3" mates to make some customs but I only got three sets, one to open, and then one set sold in plastic cylinders and then a set sold on cardbacks. I only wish I had more to make customs. Thank you for sharing and I wish they woudl have make more in that size format.

Okay, I figured it out to only have one set but get as many characters out of it as possible. It would be a four figure set. The set could be Riker, Troi, Data, and Worf. You make Riker but have an extra head & hairpeice for Wesley Crusher. You make Troi but have an extra head & hairpeice and lab coat with matching arms for Dr. Crusher. You make Data but have an extra head & hairpeice for Chief O'Brien (or Barclay if you think O'Brien should not be made until we get DS9 mates). You make Worf but have an extra head & hairpeice with Visor for LaForge. This way you only have one set to sell but you can get people to purchase at least two sets but people like me would likely get four sets. Then you can make a bonus exclusive set to have Guinan & Yar. Or there could be a Vilian Set as well: Klingon, Romulan, Ferengi and Q would be a great set that could be exclusive to say TRU.

On Friday, I went to TRU and got four Lego Minifigures from set three. I felt each package to see if I could feel the scropion and the banana. As I only wanted the Mummy and the Gorilla. I ended up geting one Gorilla, one Mummy, one Alien (which was on my list but not a must have) and one Elven Warrior (calling him that due to his hair peice having pointed ears.) I would like to find the cyborg and the samuri warrior and maybe the Native American Chief. I am sure over the short time they are in the store I will be able to get back and feel my way into a few more figures I would like.

Maybe we will see the return of DC minimates with the Green Lantern Movie? Would love the big surprise to be the return of Star Trek mates, but I could live with Green Lantern movie mates and then follow those with DC mates coming back. I dream, but that is what I would be surprised by. GI Joe mate would be cool as well. But I doubt we ever see Star Wars mates.

I got my Disney Store Exclusive Minimate set "The Classic Heroic Age" Set yesterday. I like the Captain America much better in this set than the "Modern" set. Thor is better as well. I am not sure about which Iron Man I like better. But Spiderman is better as classic than he is as a modern. Hope you are all enjoying your sets if you ordered any or such.

After reading everything on this site, I ordered a set of the Classic Heroic Age minimates from the Disney Store just af few minutes ago. I found the Heroic Age set at Toys R Us. I must admit that I do not recall seeing the Captain America with black in his costume, but I never really read the comic loyally. I just had to have each set to put on my desk at work. I display them and wanted to upgrade to add some heroes other than just DC heroes. I have Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Robin, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and Aquaman at work with my Star Trek and Ghostbusters sets. I have the new set of the Fantastic Four and so with them and the Classic Heroic Age figures I willl make a larger display. I hope that my set comes in alright but I feel it will come in while I am out of state and my wife will get upset. She hates it when I purchase minimates outside of my normal Star Trek collection. Well, I hope all is going well for the rest of you getting the set.

I wish I had more time and money to make more Customs for Star Trek Minimates. I really like your Trek Customs I am trying to figure out how to make some Klingon customs. I was even thinking of how to make a BSG and Trek Amalgan characters Such as Dr. McCoy and Doc Cottle would become Doc McCoytle. Spock and Tigh would become Tock and so forth but I don't have enough parts for all of that as I keep at least one of all my trek minimate whole and only use triples and such as parts. I have sort of dropped the ball on my customs. I am skipping my Deanna Troi and Bele/Loki. I have made a revamped Orion Slave Girl, simply did a repaint of her dress and swapped her hair with Cheetah's and make the ears green. I did a head swap to get Kirk as he appeared in "Where No Man Has Gone Before". I made a few modifications to a second Borg mate to make him look a little different. I am also in the mood to use Namor's Hair and Sarek's head to mae a Romulan form the TOS era. I hope to have some time over the holidays to tinker with my ideas and then hope to share some images with you here. Matty-lad, you have a great looking set of customs for City on the Edge of Forever, Kirk and Spock is very nice. I was thinking of making a Kirk but was at a loss for how to pull off Spock with the cap. I like Lt. Givers as well.

I hope the new movie and the 25th anniversary of TNG will bring Star Trek Minimates back to us. I really want TNG and DS9 mates.

Today I decided to go ahead and get the Reed/Doom, Thing/Torch and Sue/Mole sets from TRU. I am going to try to make a custom Santa Claus Minimate that I will be using Moleman for. I will likely keep my FF mates as they are because they are one of the few Marvel teams I do enjoy. I never really collected any Marvel minimates before. I had already purchased two of the Namor/Atlantean Soldier packs because I was going to use the soldiers to make Andorian from Star Trek. I then realized the hair units from Namor look close to Romulan hair so I am now working on Romulans mostly from TNG era. My opinion of the new FF mates come from someone who never has seen the original release of the FF in minimate form before. Torch is a cool looking figure. I sort of wish I had and Ice Man to go with him. Thing is a bit bulky but the hands do seem a little dark compared to the chest and arms. Sue: Great figure as well. I just don't care for her hair. Reed: niceer looking with the streched base instead of his legs. Doom and Moleman: not up to the level I expected. Like I stated Moleman will become a custom Santa soon. Doom, I may keep him as doom but I may part him out to customs like I am doing with Namor and the Atlantean soldiers. The cape on Moleman sort of sucks because it is loose and does not make itself able to be used on other figures nice. There is my opinion. I just wish the Secret Wars Box Set was cheaper than $13.99 because if it was $9.99 or less I would have gotten that set. I want Beyonder and Pulse for some customs I am working on.

Unfortunately, DST/AA have cancelled all Star Trek Minimates at this time. We have Kirk (Captain, Battle-damaged, dress uniform, Trouble with Tribbles, Gladiator, Mirror, and Admiral). We have Spock (regular, from "the Cage", dress uniform, Spock's Brain, elf Spock, Mirror and Unification Spock). We have Scotty (regular, Movie Duty Uniform and Movie Dress Uniform). We have Sulu, naked-time Sulu and Mirror Sulu. We have Uhura and Mirror Uhura. We have McCoy (regular, sickbay, and dress uniform). We have Chekov and Mirror Marlena Moreau. We have Decker and Ilia. We have Rand and Chapel. We have Captain Pike and Vina. We also have Khan, a Klingon, a Gorn and Sarek all from the original Series. We have a Borg Drone and Picard from TNG and we have Captain Sisko and Gul Dukat from DS9 with a variant of Commander Sisko. I wish we would have gotten more. I would love to have complete bridge crews for all the series. I would like to get a Riker, Troi, LaForge, Data, Worf, Dr. Crusher (and a Guinan, and Yar and Q and Gowron) along with a Ferengi, a Romulan, a TNG era Klingon. Lore would have been easy as well. I would like to get Kira, Odo, O'Brien, Dax (both Jadzia and Ezri) DS9 Worf, Quark, Morn, Jem'Hadar, a Founder, a Vorta, Bashir, Vedek Winn, Vedek Bariel, Kia Opaka, Keiko, Jake, Rom and Nog. A Miradorn, a hunter and a tosk. I would like to see Janeway, Chakotay, Kim, Torres, Paris, Tuvok, 7of9, Kes and Neelix. Also the EMH, Leonardo daVinci, Icheb, Borg Drones and Borg Queen, Kazon, Vidiian and maybe another alien or two. I would like to see Archer, Trip, T'Pol, Sato, Mayweather, Reed, Phlox, a Suliban, a Klingon and a Klingon-augment (no ridges). The Xindi (arboreal, primate, aquatic, insectoid and the extinct avian). Then Shran and a few Andorians and Aenar. I can dream but I will not hold my breath for them. I wish the TOS Shuttle would have been made which would have come with a battle damaged Spock but no they had to cancel it. I have made a few quick customs one of which was a Captain Janeway. I made a quick custom of Capt. Janeway. I used BSG Head, Hair and hands on a Commander Sisko Body. I also made Chakotay, Paris and Seven of Nine. I am going to attempt to make either Tuvok or Harry Kim, but I am not sure I could make a B'Elanna Torres as I am a terrible sculptor. I have made a few customs and have all postes in my listing under the Customs section. Hope this answers your question.

I made my Andorian minimate. Actually I made two, one I am calling the Commander and the other I am calling the Soldier. I used BSG parts and the heads and hands from the Atlanten Soldiers. I used one white hair piece from a Deathstroke minimate since I lost him to my nephew and then the rest of the parts are BSG or from Namor who came with the Atlantean soldier. I did not do any painting. I uses a blue paper clip for the antenne and I pushed then into the hair pieces and then used a small drop of superglue to secure them. I have not given then any pupils in their eyes because I think they look more sinister with the just white eyes. Commander Andorian and Soldier Andorian (wearing green) Please share what you think. Next I am working on Loki and Bele minimates. I did a quick custom of Mirror Scotty. Here is my quick custom of Captain Janeway. (Commander Sisko body, BSG female head/hair and flesh hands.)

I had to break down and get the last two of the two packs for the Creature and Wolfman last night. I admit I open them and display them but I had to have the colored werewolf for Halloween. I got legs on my b&w Creature to bend without breaking them. (I dropped him and then his legs moved. I am hoping that when the Mummy and Frankenstein Monster come out that we get b&w versions of them as well. I can't wait. Have a great day. (about the female from the four pack of Wolfman figures. Yes she is wearing hose and the legs are made to resemble them. Women on film for sure at that time wore hose and so they showed that on the figure.)

Finally found the new FF minimates at the TRU in Bloomington, IL. They must have just put them out a little after noon. and they must have only gotten one case. I bought both packages of Namor & the Soldier they had. Since I am broke I did not get Reed & Doom, Johnny & Ben or Sue & Moleman. They had only two packages of Sue & Moleman but had like four of Reed & Doom and Johnny and Ben. I am a little disappointed in the Namor figure but I really only wanted the Soldier for customizing anyway. I saw a cool image of a custom Andorian from Star Trek and I am goingt to attempt to make my own and hope it turns out as cool. I am also going try my had at some Romulans because Namor's hairpiece sort of makes me think Romulan/Vulcan.

I just got the black and white Wolfman and Creature. My wolfman is fine but I can't move the legs on my creature. Both Look AWESOME!!! BUt I woudl like to straighten the legs on my creature to have him stand more upright than leaning forward. Since I am broke, I could only afford one package because I had to get my Namor/Atlantean Soldier and I had to get the Glow-in-the-dark Creature that came with the transforming Wolfman. I am happy with the looks just don't want to break my b&w Creature.

I just started looking at all the custom posts on this site. I found yours yesterday. I must say that I am in love with your Andorian, Next Generation and Romulan minimates, you have customized. I alos must say that your SG1 Team really got me as well. I wish I had all of them in my collection. I just don't have the time or money to purchase all the parts. If you are interested in selling a set of SG1, I would be interested in purchasing one from you. Great Job on all your customs. But my favorites are the Trek and Stargate customs. Have a great day.

Okay, I never even knew of wave one until wave two came out. I have nothing from wave one. From wave two I have: 1 Lifegaurd, 2 Surfer Dudes, 1 Snow skier, 1 Vampire, 1 Witch, 2 Ringmasters, 1 Weightlifter, 1 Mexican, 2 Pharohs and 1 Spartan. I had a second Vampire but I gave him to a friend who is really into vampires and who was just in a stage production of Dracula. I really never had real Legos as a child but I enjoy them as an adult and I got the mini figures really to use the bases for my Minimates. I am in Central Illinois and I have having a hard time finding the minifigures because I can only get to one TRU to find them and they are generally always out when I do get there. I got five of mine online. I was hoping to get mime and then I will be done with my wants from this second wave. I am so hoping for the third wave as the mummy and gorilla look GREAT.

Thank you, Luke314pi. I never thought about the Parts Exchange. However the Star Trek quickcustoms in the list were from me. I did add what I was looking for to the parts exchange site. I hope to see your decals sooner than later because that would be awesome. I just do not have the ability to design well in computer programs. I would like to suggest that you make commbadges for all versions because they do vary slightly. I would trying to find a female hairpiece that would work for Deanna Troi then I will be trying to make her (without any commbadge until your decals come out.) Interesting recreation of "Titanic" or should I say the almost x-rated version of Minimatic. The boat took me a minute or two to make out it was a boat. But great Wacky Minimate pose. Thank you.
