  1. I think that might be the same TV I have. And if not, it's pretty close. It's awesome, I couldn't recommend it enough. I think you'll be crazy happy with it.
  2. Young Avengers Forever! I'm honestly crazy surprised they haven't made that team yet. You'd think a line up with a fake Captain America, a fake Thor, a Fake Iron Man, and a fake Hulk would be one of the first sets they'd make. You see, this is why I'm not in the toy business. It just makes no sense to me.
  3. Heads up guys, I just found these at Toys R Us. Well... I found the empty box that they were in because I got there too late and they were all picked over, but you get my drift. It's time to start cruising those lego aisles...
  4. I'm back with my most awesome QC ever: Orson Randall. I've had this one in my head since I first saw that new Iron Fist. I just traded pants with Willem Dafoe (him again), the shield holder from Bucky, added the head from the good X-Force Wolverine, and BOOM! The golden age Iron Fist lives again. I'm so ridiculously stoked I'm almost embarrassed... almost. But wait, my customization didn't end there. As an added bonus, I found a way to make that dull White Tiger a bit more interesting. After exercising some of my formidable Marvel knowledge, I remembered the short lived replacement to the Black Panther turned hero in his own right, Kasper Cole. Ol' Kas was simply the White Tiger with guns, so I tossed on a trenchcoat (courtesy of GB2's Janosz) and a few left over guns and KABLOOMERS! Kasper Cole. Fun times guys. Fun times. I hope you like'em as much as I do.
  5. Update: I found these in Burbank yesterday. As per the frustrating trials of everyone else, this time they were not in the collector's aisle and instead were found in the Thor aisle. Worse, they weren't even on a peg! They were placed in a row along the bottom of the shelf where I almost didn't see them. Until, you know, I did. They had almost all of them though. The only one that was missing was the Civilian Thor/Asgard Guard (or whatever). Happy hunting!
  6. That's a sucky predicament you've gotten yourself into TM2, I feel for you. I totally understand how frustrating and soul crushing a job in the arts can be, it happens to me every couple of years. When it does happen, I look at where I am versus where I was years ago and realize that as long as I'm making progress, no matter how little, I'll get to my goal eventually. But understand that there are a lot of rough years ahead. If this was an easy profession, everyone would do it. Instead it's those who stick it out through the rough times, learn from it, and push past it all that are the ones that make it. Sure, you get the occasional 21 year-old phenom that makes a big splash with their first works, but that's very very unlikely. Like, winning the lottery unlikely. Stick with it. Find some way to get your voice and/or work out there and start making it happen. Sitting on novels and screenplays are great, but the only way you're going to be the hot commodity that you know that you could be is by making everyone take notice of you. Start a blog, a twitter feed, a podcast, or a whatever, but find a way that puts you out there as a writer, and more, where you can engage with a future audience. Fostering that audience will make it grow and eventually you'll get paid for doing what you want to do. You might have to find a job in the meantime, but it's better to start pushing to the future now than to wait. Every day that passes is another day to start bringing your future closer to reality. Good luck and keep your head up.
  7. I just found these at the tru here in atwater village, ca. And by these, I mean the thor/destroyer pack because it was all that was left on the nearly empty pegs. They were in the collector's aisle. I'll try to check the burbank store tomorrow.
  8. It looks like Quicksilver is doing a really intense .Also, fantastic group shot. I love that Toad custom.
  9. Awesome pictures, ufemizm! I think I might have to go out and get those now.
  10. Here are a couple of my set ups. The first is of my Marvel Zombies, crawling out of a wall that originally belonged to the Marvel Legend Hulk. While the second is of my 90s X-Men perched on a Sentinel's leg (also from the Marvel Legend line). Amazingly, I've never had any of the X-Men fall. The zombies, however, fall all the time. Strange times. Hopes ya digs.
  11. Hey GH! Yeah... that stuff literally never came in. It's INFURIATING to have no control over that at a store level. So you guys can't even just order stuff, even if you know you need it and have people looking for it? That is infuriating, and a poor way to run a business. Of course not. I used to work at KB Toys (in the worst performing store in the company, wooo!) and we were at the whim of whatever the truck brought us. It didn't matter if everyone who called was looking for the same thing, we had no say over what we got. It was just a little frustrating, sure, but it did make looking at the manifest every week kind of exciting. You never knew if you what was coming in week to week. Also, special orders or opening boxes up in the back for chase figures (for a customer or for yourself) when there was no room on the shelf for them were strictly forbidden.
  12. Hey man, no problem. The more you know, right? Also, just FYI, not all of A-Poc's horsemen have been mutants. Well, one at least (the Hulk back in 1999) wasn't. Anyway, A-poc, in the 616, is just looking for his time to shine. He pops up from time to time when he thinks the world is on the brink and he can finally rise to his rightful place of power which he knows will happen eventually. You gotta give the man credit, he's not one to take a defeat laying down. He's got perseverance coming out the Yin Yang. As for Archangel, that's all A-Poc's doing. He sees some kind of potential in Warren that he has yet to explain, but it involves giving him metal wings that molt to feathers then to energy, then back to feathers and then can change into metal. He says he has a plan, but I kinda doubt it.
  13. It's relatively simple, really. Apocalypse, when he gets it in his head that now is the time to attack, finds mutants that he deems 'strong' and augments them to be his main fighting force. He'll name them Pestilence, War, Death, and Famine, but very rarely do their powers line up with their designated task. Former horsemen for A-Poc in the 616 include: Angel, Gambit, Polaris, Sunfire, Caliban (on two separate occasions!), Wolverine, and The Hulk. Meanwhile in the AOA his horsemen were way more effective and included: Mikhel Rasputin, Abyss, Holocaust, Maximus (but he died), and Mr. Sinister. Things get a little confusing when you try to figure out who works for A-Poc in capacities that don't involve horses.
  14. That is one creepy army. I think I'm going to have nightmares...
  15. Nemesis was also Cable's son in the real universe, right? I remember a dude with apocalypse like armor and hair like Nelson Nah, you're thinking of Genesis. It was Cable's adoptive son, Tyler Dayspring, after he was kidnapped and/or brainwashed to be a servant of Apocalypse. Which, of course, meant traveling back in time to give his pops a hard time until he was killed by adamantium shards violently expelled from Wolverine's body. Speaking of: What do you guys think is the time frame until we get ourselves a pirate-y, extra savage, 90s Wolverine? At this rate, I think he'll be in TRU wave 15.
  16. via a visit from the Impossible Man. It's actually a great issue, number 30, I believe. Great job, Boyd!
  17. Just as I was giving up hope, guess what popped up? It was pretty amazing, really, the Magik/Warlock set was just sitting in the first position on the peg at TRU Burbank. I think I set a land speed record snatching it up. Unfortunately for the rest of you, there were no other chases there, but that's not the point. The point is to not give up hope, cause you never know when the set your looking for will just pop up and surprise you. NOTE: I also bought a Wolvie/Magneto set to help clear the peg of it's warmers. Here's hoping for another restock here soon.
  18. Your opinions are intriguing to me and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter. Seriously, life needs more Throg in it.
  19. Nice. I was wondering when someone was going to drop this idea. Well, lookit that. Sorry buddy, I must have been so excited when the thread started that I just kind of looked over it. Good job dropping it even earlier than the Iceman, BHM.
  20. Nice. I was wondering when someone was going to drop this idea. Also, I got two ideas for y'all 1- Ghost Rider Updated Johnny Blaze GR Updated and overpowered Danny Ketch GR (From the latest series) Phantom Rider Ghost Rider 2099 You know, that or any of the random legacy types they introduced in GR # 33 especially the WWI ace or the 1920s G-Men. 2- Nic Cage (not Marvel related, but come on it's gotta happen!) Milton From Drive Angry (with the God Killer Shotgun and ridiculous sunglasses) Cameron Poe From Con Air Balthazar from The Sorcerers Apprentice Edward Malus from The Wicker Man (With attachable Bee Cage!) I don't know about you, but I would buy that one in a heart beat.
  21. You could have stopped there. Just mentioning the word 'Frankencastle' should say that the writer who did that should never be allowed to work in comics again. You guys and you're Frankencastle hate. That series was amazing! Between the Frank/Manthing fastball Special and the sheer viciousness of that rematch with Daken, that book was nothing but fun, old school comics.
  22. Banner is really close on this. Bishop originally traveled back in time via a time portal created by Trevor Fitzroy, his mutant power is time travel. The two other guys that came through, Malcolm and Randall, had some other power that totally escapes me. I think it was the power to get killed without any character development, but I'm not sure if that's canon. Cable, on the other hand, originally went to the future via an Askani warrior who had the ability to time slide. It was mechanical in nature, but I'm not sure if they ever described how it actually worked. Same goes with most of cable's appearances through the 90s, he would time slide in but it was never really explained how. At least, not that I can remember. Hope that helps!
  23. So I went to the TRU in Burbank today and they had a day old case. That is to say, all the Cannonballs and Warlocks were picked missing. Lots of Dark Magnetos though, if you're really in the mood. Oh. Also, IT SNOWED! WHAT THE WHAT? I was shocked! Baffled! Befuddled! Snow in Burbank. Crazy pants! Probably the most exciting thing I've ever found at that TRU.
  24. Prodigy wasnt on the 'Warriors. He was on the Slingers, a team using former alias' of Spider-man In that team was Prodigy, Dusk, Ricochet and another However, Scarlet Spider was briefly on the New Warriors, but the most logical choice for a box set would be to put Silhouette in Was he called Hornet? He was called Hornet. He was killed by Wolverine a few years ago during Enemy of The State. He also makes a brief appearance in this week's Amazing Spider-Man, albeit an appearance in which he's on the end of Wolvie's claws, but whatevs. SLINGERS FORVER! Also, if you're looking for awesome replacements for Prodigy on that list, Aapje, may I suggest Darkhawk?
  25. I also want to quickly add what I'm sure would be a HUGE seller. The Henchmen. AIM Scientist Hydra Goon Hellfire Goon Ultimatium Solider I would buy like eight of these sets all on my own and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
