  1. You know, except for the fact that she's in one of the X-Books right now.
  2. I too just found these (in Burbank, CA BTW) and am having the same problem with Air-Walker's feet. It's actually a pretty snug fit on that launch base though...
  3. You might want to check Legacy comics in Glendale (just north of the Galleria). It's been a while since I've been there, but they do have a pretty solid selection of minimates. Or, you can check a place in the Burbank Town Center... Area 13 (or something like that). They're more of a collectable toy store and might have it. If I had one I'd drop it off. Alas, I'm no help.
  4. Honestly, I'd love to see a new Phil Urich Hobgoblin. And/or the Jackal.
  5. Great stuff, Sec. Really well shot, nicely paced, and a good through-line to keep me engaged. If you were going to expand, redo, or otherwise revisit this short, I would consider the following: 1- Change that font. The rest of your presentation was so professional that the goofy, cartoony lettering stood out like a sore thumb. Try something that evokes the same mood (I'm assuming playful and fun) that's not an outlined font like the one you're using. 2- If you go ahead with a feature, which would be interesting, try loosening up and having some more fun on camera. Believe you me, I know it's easier said than done, but when you're talking about a passion you should sound... well, passionate. You had this spark at the very beginning as you found that Gold Spider-Man on ebay that was fantastic; keep that moment in mind if you go shoot more. As a tip, put pressure on whoever was behind the camera to keep his (or her) energy as high as yours if not higher. YOu'll feed off of it and it'll make you pop on screen some more. 3- Also if you revisit to make it longer, I'd add more of a history lesson in there. Where did minimates come from? What was the first one? How long have they been produced? How many Marvel figures are there? Also, what's the most exciting moment for you as a minimate collector? Is it when figures are announced? When you have them in your hand? Or is it somewhere inbetween? Seriously fantastic stuff though. I hope you make more.
  6. You're too good to us, Zach. That control art looks amazing! I can't wait to add him to my collection and call him Sauron, no matter what the package says.
  7. Teams that I want that have a chance of being made: Young Avengers, OG Thunderbolts Teams that I want that have almost no chance of being made: Slingers, Young Allies, League of Losers (THink about it: Darkhawk, Terror Inc, Speedball, and X-23 [to give them a heavy hitter] Imagine how terrible it would sell)
  8. I found these yesterday in LA, specifically at the Los Feliz store. They were pretty picked over by the time I got there (and the line was ATROCIOUSLY long), but I managed to put my hands on a Thing/Surfer set and a HUman Torch/Annihulus one. And I gotta say, after a quick headswap for something more ready for action, I'm really digging the new Thing figure, even if he doesn't have an ink wash over him.
  9. Hey, I just started reading this too (a month later, but whatever)! How're you enjoying it? To be honest, I'm not digging it as much as I want to. As a fan of robots, uprisings, and World War Z, I was very excited for this book. Instead I find it dragged down by the storytelling device, and while interesting, it rings hollow when compared to World War Z.
  10. Man. I'm crazy excited for these. I really want these to be REALLY successful so we can get a followup boxset with more supernatural characters. Like a Midnight Sons set with an updated Ghost Rider, Vengeance, Damian Hellstorm, and a Bionic Johnny Blaze. Either that or anything that includes Man-Thing. I mean, probably not, but a man can dream. right?
  11. Fantastic stuff! Finally an awards show that I want to watch... er... look at.
  12. The more I think about it, Machine Man should be on this list. While not as influential as The Falcon or The Winter Solider (who is totally a different character than Bucky, IMO), he was the star of three Marvel Zombie miniserieses and has a pretty prominent role in the new Red She-Hulk series. That should count for something. Also, while I'm thinking about her, they should totally make a Red She-Hulk too.
  13. I would kill for a Dr. Druid. Hell, in a 'perfect' world, he could be the one with the variant. One his fat bald Avengers-destroying self, and the other his X-Treme, muscle-y Secret Defenders revamp. I would love it, but I'd probably be the only one. Also, they already made a Monica Captain Marvel a few years ago.
  14. I'm honestly surprised we haven't seen a Deathlock yet, what with the push he got in recent years. Also, The Young Avengers, as a group have been sorely lacking from my collection.
  15. Wow. No offense to the lot of you, but I was convinced y'all were crazy. Hell, I was ready for a wide assortment of you to be incredibly disappointed at this mystery line to be not Peter Pan and for Peter Pan to become some weird running gag anytime some new line was hinted at. Goes to show what I know. Good sleuthing. Sherlock would be proud. I'm still passing on them though.
  16. That's super rad, Luke. I can't wait until they're available.
  17. Holy crap I'm excited. Moreso for the Aliens stuff than the Lost in Space, but you know, whatever. That's gonna make an epic crossover.
  18. 1) I absolutely WEEP at the thought of Nicieza and Liefeld's X-Force being referred to as "classic" Right? It's weird, but what else would you call the 20 year old original incarnation of an often-changing-format comic? I guess I coulda called it 'vintage', but that seemed even stranger. If it makes you feel any better, I would also love the NuClassic X-Force team of Mr. Sensitive, U-Go-Girl, and Doop just as much as I want a Siren or Reignfire.
  19. Have you thought about trying a Rolento head on that Strucker custom? What he lacks in a monocle he more than makes up for with a wicked face scar.
  20. Hey Thanks! Trickshot is just the Dark Hawkeye body with a Bucky head and a Wolfsbane hairpiece.
  21. With the sudden influx of Venom's, I found myself with an overabundance of black spider-man parts which leads to only one thing: The new dark Spider-Man, Ai Apeac. Using that great piece from the 6-armed Spidey (painted black), the mask from the Mac Gargan Dark Spidey (I liked the detail), and the torso from one of those new Venoms (which admittedly I should have turned around), I got the greatest Spider-God ever to exist in adorable 2-inch scale. Hope you like it!
  22. I did some QCing and came up with the new Dark Avengers. Enjoy.
  23. I get the feeling that this Ultron crossover is going to be continuity-lite ala Infinity Gauntlet back in the before times. You know, something that'll read great in trade and characters can look back and point to as a thing that happened without it being explicitly mentioned in every book at the time. That is to say, I'm not surprised that the Amazing Spider-Man is in there because that'll make an easier trade read than reading about the Superior Spider-Man ten years from now.
