    Bargain

I guess it's a better deal for people outside the U.S. then??? Speaking of which, are there any Aussie board members who wanna get there hands on the Hostile Take-Over set & The Movie Hulk Line???
  2. Hey 'Mates, just stumbled across a decent looking deal over at AFX. I'm really only interested in the Spiderman Wave & the War Machine Wave - but even with the high price of shipping to Autstralia, this is almost worth it. 8 x 2-packs would set me back at least $120 here in Australia if i were to buy them from my LCS. This works out at about $150 Australian (including shipping) - plus i'd be getting another 4 2-packs & a 4-pack. It's still a bit of money for me, but maybe it's a better bargain for residents of the U.S.? http://shopafx.com/mamixppa1.html
  3. so . . . what are deathbirds childrens names? did we get any confirmation of whitenoise?
  4. Mr Sinister: sneaky, manipulative, capable of doing the work himself but can always find someone else to do . . wait - Mr Sinister HASN'T BEEN MADE YET!!! MAKE SINISTER
  5. I haven't seen the film, but i'm pretty sure this wont be happening. The X-Men franchise licence is owned by Fox, where as Iron Man, Hulk, Avengers are all owned by marvels own production company - this means it's unlikely that we'll see Avenger/X-men cross-overs, even is Wolverine is an Avenger in the comic books. Yeah, that's my hunch too. And, ya know, it's A PREQUEL to the X-films. Oh yeah - wow. no i feel like a total dolt! lol

  7. OH MY FREAKING GOD! I WANT! I WANT! I WANT! Seriously - i have been hunting this on eBay for PS2 for about a year - but it always sells for about $100, and by the time an auction ends, i have spent my pay on Minimates Here's hoping they re-release it for PS as well!
  8. I think the Marvel vinyl figures are a bit better - becase each one is individually sculpted, but they also cost a butt-load more. I appreciate that there's another quirky line out there for collectors, but this line isn't for me.
  9. Man - there's a bit of X-Men hate out there, isn't there. I didn't realise there was such contempt for them in the comic-reading community. It's always been my favourite ongoing series, so i am pretty biased i guess. But as i've said before, it's be nice to have a mainstream release of a 616 Storm. The GSXM one was pretty hard to come by if i understand correctly - once as a boxset exclusive, and once as a pretty limited release through the target 2-packs? Or am i misinformed? Personally - I'd rather see Spider-Woman, Storm, Photon & Energy Form Beyonder, but voted for MoleculeMan as i doubt we'll see him if he doesn't make this box-set.
  10. Really? I always kinda liked Carnage - at least visually. In fact, i've been hanging out for a Maximum Carnage MiniMate BoxSet for ages. Carnage; Shreik; Doppleganger & Demogoblin. Schwing!!!! Maybe i have slightly fonder memories of the Carnage years because he was a major player just after i jumped on board with Marvel. EDIT: PS - He also made an appearance again recently in the recent, decades-spanning Spiderman & the X-Men mini-series.
  11. She's pretty important in logans history. She even made a few appearances in the 90's animated series. EDIT: And a William Stryker 'Mate would be AWESOME!!!!
  12. Man, if they did a "Thriller" box set (Thriller regular Michael, Thriller zombie Michael, Billie Jean Michael, Beat It Michael), I would be ALL over it! 'We' Cosbaby fanatics are eagerly awaiting the imminent release of these classics ......I just can't wait For a moment i read that as 'We COSBY fans' . . . and imagined a line of Bill Cosby minimates. The variant could have an X-Mas sweater instead of his regular Dr Huxtable knits.
  13. In X-Men the end, She & Bishop had a girl name Alliyah, i think???
  14. *PANT* *DROOL* *PANT* Just got home after a LOOOOONG day (been at work since 7:30 - then volunteering till about 8, am only home now at 8:45) to find a new pachage has arrived for me. I was lucky enough to stumble on what i think is quite a deal: Complete Wave 2: Peter Parker/Green Goblin; Spiderman/Carnage; BD Spiderman/Venom; Spiderman Black/Venom Complete Wave 7: Chameleon/Ultimate SM; Grey Hulk/Rhino; Spiderman 2099/Silver Surfer; J.Jonah.Jameson/Ult SM Battle Damage DD/Bullseye U.S Agent/Task MAster. I know these are all older mates - but i was only collecting X-Men when they came out, so i was stoked to find all these!!! I managed to pick-up the whole lot for $60 Australian (About $45 US) inlcuding shipping. I know have the joy of opening them all up I think i'll be here a while.
  15. Re-Animator?!?!?! Awesome - you just become my new hero! That movie is so messed up!
  16. Just clarify this one bit for me... I'm gay. Ergo: A Dude & have an Ex Boyfriend. EDIT: Sorry guys, think i've high-jacked the original thread topic. Ah, no worries. So sorry if I came across as sounding like an utter douche. Dude - NO offence taken at all. For the most part - this a Straight boys domain, so it's a total non-issue. I can understand the assumption.

  18. Aw Man - i Totally bought MiniMates for my Ex Boyfirend as a birthday present. In my defence - they were they Desperately Seeking Susan 'Mates, and that is one of his all time favourite films. Oh my god... you're a girl? Ha ha! wait - are you joking or serious?
  19. I don't object too much to Piracy a lot of the time, but this is a film that i am looking forward to & i think will be more fun if it's shown 3 stroies high on the big screen with surround sound. I dno't think my laptop will do it any justice, so i'm happy to wait till it gets a cinema release over here.

  21. Well - for the best catalogue of what pre-made parts are available, you need to hit up http://minimatedatabase.com/ . The guy catalogues every aspect of each figure he buys. . . and he's got almost EVERYTHING. For help with customizing techniques, head over to http://minimatefactory.com/ . Great demo's and advise on painting, using decals, sculpting etc. . . These are two of the best references for Collecting & Customising. Enjoy & be sure to show off your customs here when you get into it Edit: Damn! beat me to it, the punisher=D
  22. You're right - even as a youngen, i could tell the animation for Batman was a great deal better, but i loved the story arcs X-Men worked with. They were less 'self-contained' than the Batman series was, so it felt a bit more epic sometimes. I could usually get past the poor animation & just enjoy seeing my favourite super-heros in action.
  23. This holds true for 'You know you're a fan of Marvel Legends' as well Oh wow! that is a whole new level of obsession! . . . . . . When you re-buy an entire wave you already have just to get the variant you missed first time 'round.
  24. Probably because Molecule Man looks like arse . . . (Don't worry - i voted for MM anyway. I have no idea who he is - he just looks like a bad guy & i know i'd rather have more new villains than another freaking SpiderMan variation)
