If they made a 1602 box set, I'd be ready to stop collecting Minimates--and be totally ready to die. They, to me, would be the penultimate Minimates--if done correctly. Glad someone else shares this desire. Stop collecting minimates..... how could you do a thing like that!!!!! :tongue:

I got mine on Friday. That was really quick. Though I'm in PA, so it wasn't that far to ship. Pretty neat set. I'm cannibalizing my set- jacket=Dr Sivanna, I'm debating the Ash w/ chainsaw(but that's probably what I'll do.)

Not really. iamond's website has them down for 9/10/2008. If Iwas Diamond, I'd push it back20 days more though, the DVD hits on the 30th Just remember that date is west coast. 9/17/08 will be east coast, if that's when they ship. Or maybe it will be 9/03/08(for west coast), I'm not sure how that works.

AFX.com has them for sale(ships in 2-3 days). They're on the west coast.

I know some collectors bitch about re-used parts, but if the box sets are to happen this is the way to go. I'm not knockin' any of the artists(I can't draw worth a squat), But I noticed a lot of golden and silver-age characters are similar(i.e. hair, some capes, gloves and boots). The "Rachael" hair used for various Marvel women is pretty accurate for some of the characters, depending on who was drawing them.

My IM through the ages mask fits better than my zombie IM. The gold paint app. on the mask makes it a little stiffer, it snaps in better. Hmmph, must be just mine.

I've had dreams like this about the vintage Star Wars toys. I'd go to K-mart and all the old stuff would be stocked on the shelves. I've had a couple of minimate dreams. Walking in on a newly stocked shelf of 2-packs. Woo-hoo!! The skateboard and orphanage, maybe you were playing santa. I thought about buying cheap minimates for Toys-for-Tots, just to spread the minimate love to kids who might not yet know about them.

The Ed Norton from the Hulk will give you a Will Graham. The Andre Drazen head is a good likeness of Scott Glenn's Crawford. Scotty's head(ST) with new Goblin hair is an Excellent Dr. Chilton(use Drazen's body).

Nothing in Previews New Releases.... if you noticed the package in the SDCC pics, release states August 2008. Unfortunately the LCS near me that sold minimates went out of business. The others rarely orders minimates except for comic-related licenses so I've got no one to ask. Maybe next week on east coast.
