  1. Anyone know if these will be solicited in Previews or should I pick them up on line so I don't miss out?
  2. Thanks, but are the pins glued to the legs or, once the leg is separated, can they be popped out also without trouble? Also, are the pins a hard brittle plastic (like the clear ones used in DCD figs) or a softer pvc type that allow for some flexibilty, (hence the need for shrinking I guess) ?
  3. Are Minimates knee pins one solid piece or are they two pieces that fit together. Also is the flat end glued in place? Are you able to separate the lower leg form the upper part while keeping the pin intact? Before I try anything I'd like to know. Thanks.
  4. I'd like to know if Wonder Girl's lasso is removable or is it glued to her hand.
  5. I remember when these first came out some people reported that they found the posts to be fragile and some reported that their wings broke. It's been several months now, has anyone had any more problems with these or have they proven to be durable?
  6. I just noticed on the package photo that US Agent's mask appears to have black creases on it. Were these just for the prototype pics or does the mask actually have these because I can't make any out on mine?
  7. Is US Agent's shield removable from the wristband ? Is the new wrist attachment different from the old one?
  8. Fujis, I'm in Canada also. May ask how much your order from AFX was (initial not counting S&H)? I just don't want to be too surprised when my order arrives in a couple of days. I'm expecting the brokerage fees and some duty. Did you just order the DC and Marvel minis or were there other items in your order also? Thanks.
  9. Just out of curiosity, how big a company is AFX that they can have minimate exclusive sets made, especially with all new sculpts?
  10. Some pegs have grey paint on them while others are just white unpainted plastic. The painted ones seem to have a tighter fit when placed in the holes. Trying to postition them could result in twisting the plastic peg and it could snap. Before positioning, it's probably a good idea to make sure that the peg is actually moving in the socket.
  11. Mystery Man, how exactly did the wings break?
  12. Anybody know if these are shipping early to the west coast?
  13. Canada, at least Quebec got 'em today. Really great wave. Bane has a great painted face w/ painted hair under his mask. The Superman half of Cyborgs face is removable (and is even held in place by a small tab!) so that you see the rest of the robot face. worth the wait, folks.
  14. Exactly. I buy multiples for the same reason. Luckily the store I bought 'em from replaced my defective mate without question.
  15. Wayyy back when the Marvel Minimates were first introduced were the knee pins alsp glued in or were they just held in place by the other leg piece?
  16. Pretty much, yeah. You have to kinda work around the exposed part of the joint first. Once you can force the knee to bend a little it gets easier. After a bit you can just separate the two leg pieces and smooth out the edges. Do you find that the pieces are stuck together by a bit of glue that has leaked between them?
  17. Out of curiosity, if the leg won't bend rather than forcing it, do you try to seperate the two halves by lifting it off the post ?
  18. Are you using the exacto to pry the two halves of the leg apart at the knee?
  19. My GA had leg issues also but a lot of gentle wiggling got it to move. I have seen a leg that snapped at the knee, but that was because some glue(?) that holds in the pin probably leaked through and fused the 2 pieces together.
  20. How's the quality control on this wave? Anything to look out for ? I noticed something that looked like glue on the flat part of the knee pin on GA. Are the pins on the leg joints actually glued to the bottom part of the leg? For some reason I always thought they were just pushed through both parts of the leg. If one part actually is glued in place that would explain some of the knee joint breaks I've read about. The glue probably sticks both parts of the leg together.
  21. Is it the knee pin that broke on your Harley or was it part of the upper or lower leg? It seems like all the Knee pins are molded out of white plastic and the visible ends are painted to match the leg. Was the pin painted to the figure, thus not allowing it to turn resulting in it breaking?
  22. Thanks. Mine does turn. Funny how that tiny "click" sound when it frees itself from the paint can make you feel so happy.
  23. Thanks. Does that mean that the handle can also be removed?
  24. The handle looks pretty flexible, but can it actually be moved, is it "articulated" (for lack of a better description) or is it fused in place?
  25. Don't recall this being mentioned but the new DC 'mates have a different torso than the last batch of Marvels. The 4 plastic pieces that grip the post are positioned in the opposite direction. Wonder if this mold will be used for all future 'mates.
