  1. People have made multiple customs before (I think boyd and Dinobot made 3 and 4 robots respectively) and it doesn't seem to affect the totals all that much. Although the year we made the least amount of money was the year we had the fewest customs. I say the more the merrier!
  2. Just ordered some parts from Luke to make a Centaur!
  3. I expected more from our vocal 'Kang Kadre' about this pic! Are you all too gobsmacked to chime in?
  4. And do we know for certain that the second wave is in limbo? I thought DST was exploring other release options. Certainly they're not going to put out the Santa Pirate ship and call it quits?
  5. Custom Koopa Airship Bookends Pretty cool although it must have been tricky sawing through that hull!
  6. Exactly. I know it's kicking a dead horse but you'd think by now with Marvel at wave 45 and counting they would have rethought their decision to end the line. Bottom line though the DC Minimates line must not have made money; if it did they'd still be making them.
  7. This guy has two clear red Vorin's starting at $19.99 but I'm calling dibs on one! And here's two more listed with the comic as well. Not bad BIN prices - $60 & $65.01 (not sure why the different prices...)
  8. Battle Beasts Countdown That's the link but the countdown is over! And it was for DST's BB page which has nothing to do with the new Japanese Beast Saga figs. More info on the new Battle Beasts site and in the Battle Beasts thread. Everything before page 9 is about the Gators which seem to now be stand alone promos and won't be tied into the current story.
  9. Thanks so much for all the updates youbastards!
  10. Guys, let's take it easy on ol' Zach. youbastards has already said that he's got some promos for a MMMV contest.
  11. Thanks for the pics youbastards! Can't wait to see more shots of those SF/Tekken figs! And no Lara Croft on display?
  12. Interesting. They had the color version on display at Toy Fair. Is there a market for these? If Godfather and Doctor Who didn't make it to production I'd be surprised if the Munsters did.
  13. According to the design artwork, the head is supposed to be a slip-on piece over a regular Minimate head. I'm guessing that didn't change. Looking at the control art, Vorin's head looks sculpted like Beta Ray Bill's. Does it say somewhere that it's a slip on mask? And the armor definitely looks separate from the head in the artwork. I suppose we'll know soon enough! EDIT: Full design sheet is up at CBR. Head and armor are definitely separate and it looks like the head could be a slip-on piece...
  14. Seconded! Might be time to start a C2E2 begging thread, eh? But these look awesome! I love the control art for Vorin.
  15. The theme is mythological creatures & characters but how you want to interpret that is up to you! Anyone up for making the logo?
  16. Okay guys, why don't we settle on this? Charitymates 6: And Thus The Creatures Played! supporting Right To Play The 6th annual Charitymates customizing event has begun! Charitymates is an annual charity event held at the Minimate Multiverse. During this event, Minimate customizers (veteran and novice alike) create and donate a Minimate custom based on a theme chosen by the community. These one-of-a-kind creations are then auctioned off on eBay with 75% of the proceeds going to a specific charity (also chosen by the community) and the remaining 25% helping with the operation costs of the Minimate Multiverse. This year's theme is mythological creatures & characters! Your favorite myths come to life from Norse to Roman and from ancient to modern! And Groundhog, are you still up for organizing? You'll be responsible for receiving the customs, photographing the group shot, and taking care of the eBay listing. I handed the first 3 (IIRC) and it's really easy. And to the group: thoughts on a deadline? How's everyone with July 31st? That should give everyone plenty of time.
  17. After the customs are created, the organizer of that year's project posts them on eBay so you don't have to worry about that! You're welcome to contribute a custom and bid on the entries though. And check this link out for info on our past projects and you can check out Luke's Charitymates site as well.
  18. Here's the pic of the prototype from Cool Toy Review
  19. Yes, I thought that was the concensus. See below. Expanding on that idea, what about mythological characters? Roman, Norse, Greek, Hindu, Chinese - the list goes on and on - a plethora of creatures and characters to choose from! Charitymates 6: Past Gods for a Better Future! (I know we haven't settled on this title yet) As for the charity, how do people feel about Right To Play? It's listed on the eBay Giving Works site.
  20. That's awesome Serge! Does that put anyone else in the mood for another Comic Book Cover Contest?
  21. Welcome back Rad! I missed being shot by your avatar!
  22. This is all from a Google search: From Portrait of an Addiction: Legions of Gotham BATBASE - Control Art about 1/3 way down the page I'm sure there's more kicking around the forum.
