  1. Sentinel is so dumb. Even his basic combos take out half of your HP. What's really funny though is that my friend showed me an infinite combo you can do with Akuma vs Sentinel XD What you do is hurricane kick. All the way. It takes a while but it's a guaranteed kill against Sentinel.
  2. Yay, I like Jill's BSAA outfit better than the one where she has that bug on her chest. Nice job Luke
  3. I play from 15 minutes a day to a few hours a day. On some games I will complete them 100%, and others I don't care so much, it really depends on the game. For example, I was willing to complete Majora's Mask 100% but not Wind Waker. I'll take time shenanigans over exploring a vast ocean of nothing anyday. And the motion controls for Twilight Princess turned me off so much that I stopped playing after a couple hours. One day I will borrow the Gamecube version from a friend. As for multiplayer, I couldn't care less. If someone gives me multiplayer as the sole reason for buying a game, then I'm not buying it. I'm seriously the only one in my group of friends that cares about the story in games like Starcraft I&II.
  4. The newer PS3s aren't backwards-compatible, because Sony didn't want to spend the $27 to make that possible. If you want to play your MvC2 copy, you'll have to get one of the very first PS3s, or just play on a PS2 if you don't want to download it. As for good games, I really like Crystal Defenders and Mega Man 10. And there's also a ton of PS1 games: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PSOne_Classics My favorite out of those is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
  5. I'm playing the first Mega Man Battle Network game again, it's certainly harder than the other ones haha.
  6. Army Builder All-Stars: AIM Agent Hydra Soldier Sentinel Skrull Spider-Man Villains: Morbius, the Living Vampire Doppleganger Demogoblin Carnage (updated) Return of the Spider-Slayers (MSRP $35): Torn-to-shreds Spider-Man Kingpin (updated) Alistair Smythe (with normal human top and mutated top) Black Widow Spider-Slayer/Tarantula Spider-Slayer/Scorpion Spider-Slayer (they combine to make one!)
  7. Yeah, I wish I got into collecting Minimates sooner so I would have gotten the chance to jump on them. Personally, I blame Hollywood Video since they went out of business XD To be fair, they made the original Mega Man games easier when they brought them over. Yeah, I played MM10 at a friend's house and you have to do everything perfectly. They seriously put a lot of time into making these games. Especially the jumps, oy. If you're off by a pixel, you die. What I really like about 10 though (not sure if it's the same for 9, as I haven't played it yet) is that you can compete for the fastest times on playing through levels, and you can watch other people's replays. I also like the challenge mode, if you practice enough you can get really good at the game.
  8. Thanks for the pictures! Not only are your pictures better, but you also take the time to actually organize the pictures instead of dumping 500+ into one gallery like this one site did for this Toy Fair, which is a big plus.
  9. A thousand times this. This license is so huge that it opens more doors for DST than Halo, Jak and Daxter, and Ratchet & Clank. Why? Well why do you collect things? To complete teams right? And when Capcom fans buy these packs, they will want to complete the whole roster. And when they complete the whole roster (with or without DST's help), they're going to want to go back and collect older Minimates to fill out the gaps in their collection. It gives DST an opportunity to make different or improved versions of older Minimates, and as we've seen from the prototypes and the control art, there's something for everyone. Even if you don't like Capcom, I know you're going to want to buy Dormammu. Even if you don't like Street Fighter or Darkstalkers, you might like Viewtiful Joe, Arthur, Zero, or Amaterasu. If MvC3 Minimates work out, think of all the video game Minimates we could get. I don't see why some of you think that hype will go down in five months. Fighting game crowds play these games for MONTHS after release. This isn't just some new forgettable game that comes out every once in a while. This is a sequel to a cult classic that fans have enjoyed for YEARS, to the point where it's still played in major cash tournaments, that I don't see why it should be any different for MvC3. And with the possibility of more DLC characters, which MvC 1&2 didn't even have, this is definitely going to go on strong. If you don't believe me, go on eBay or even GameStop and look at what any version of MvC2 is going for. Also look for the figures on eBay. There is definitely enough demand for a really old game and really old figures, so these Minimates should grab some of these people's attention. I was actually thinking that the character with the headband from the Age of X boxset would make a good Solid Snake. Zero is a standalone character. Keiji Inafune originally wanted Zero to be the main character of the X series (which is the future in the same setting as the original series. ), but he was pressured by Capcom to make Mega Man the main character because they believed that fans wouldn't want to play the game without Mega Man. But later on Zero got his own series. Seriously. It would really help out my LCS if these were hobby store waves as we have SSF4 and MvC3 tournaments.
  10. This is pretty much why I only buy TRU packs on eBay. Sorry you had to deal with (not surprisingly) dumb employees.
  11. I really wish they'd give us a regular Gedachtnis and not some $50 model kit. It's not even worth it considering it's just orange plastic.
  12. Dio

    Wave 41

lol it looks like they took one of the old Batman cowls and turned it into a Wolverine mask. I'm really excited for both Sinisters, and I'm glad DST changed their mind about Ms Sinister. Is anyone going to make a Solid Snake custom with the Age of X boxset?
  13. Mwahahaha, I totally called MvC3: http://www.minimatemultiverse.com/index.ph...st&p=180583 I'm totally getting Wesker. Zero would be perfect if his eyes weren't so big (as seen here, the prototype's face is really weird). The rest of the MvC3 minimates look great, and I'll probably be able to convince my friend who mains C. Viper to buy her XD As for Marvel, both Sinisters look great.
  14. Yeah it's the pin that's broken, thanks guys!
  15. I got a GSXM Colossus in the mail, and both of his knees were broken. Is there a way to glue them back on but still have them articulated? I also need advice on hip joints. The legs won't move on a GSXM Nightcrawler, and I'm not sure if it would be better to freeze it or heat it up.
  16. Even if you're not into that dating sim, you still get awesome accessories. Look at that cake, Go table, and the cats! Get the cat lady!
  17. Yeah the new Drossel is kinda creepy, maybe we'll get a reissue of the first one. I'm excited for Suika, and I hope that they reissue Reimu too. My friends are excited for Dorothy and Kaiji.
  18. Two thumbs up. I like how Battle Ravaged Spider-Man had the most awards XD I hope DST learned their lesson. It's good that Cable made it on here, this version is one of my favorites. Statues of Liberty and Hulkbuster are great minimates too.
  19. For box sets, I just like to keep the backs. If you treat them like single cards then you'll save a lot of space.
  20. Just got the Xavier pack, they really did a good job on this figure and the wheelchair. I'm impressed.
  21. Nice! I'll be sure to order this after April. I'm saving up for Sakura Con and ECCC right now.
  22. I hope it's Marvel Vs Capcom 3. People want their Street Fighter and Darkstalkers Minimates, and I wouldn't mind having a Wesker minimate
  23. Yeah same here. I tried reading the first Deadpool comics and it was hard for me to get through it.
  24. Wesker is on backorder here: http://www.hlj.com/product/HTT17293 There's a chance you can get him in a month or so if you place an order now. And if they can't get him in stock by then, they'll let you know, so at least you'll know he's out of stock there.
  25. But wait... He's a Transformers guy, you're a Transformers guy, shouldn't you be good friends? Isn't everyone convivial in the Transformers fandom? Nah, that blind hate thing sounds about right. Willis is even in a rivalry with one of his own characters, for crying out loud http://tfwiki.net/wiki/David_Willis XD I don't remember the whole story, but apparently he became an important person's toady at a con to get a Transformer toy made, which a lot of people hate or something. It wasn't important enough to remember.
