  1. Happy Birthday, BHM! Hope it's a good one!!
  2. I didn't end up voting -- only because I couldn't pick just 3. I think everyone did a kickass job, so.... Congrats, everyone!
  3. Sean -- Congrats to you and the Missus & welcome to Webs, Jr! Jenny PS - He's very cute!
  4. I agree wholeheartedly!! Total awesomeness! But I digress. Welcome to the forum, IJM!
  5. I agree, it is ridiculous. But here's the the good news (& this is just my opinion/logic here) -- a potential "loophole" for this law: How can you viably define the term "used"? I mean, does the term include toys & figs whose owner(s) have removed once from the package but never played (like collectors who display them)? What about those items that are so old the glue has disintegrated, thereby freeing them from packaging (how could you tell they were infact not "new")? Or buying/selling vintage items, which by definition, are not "new" -- are these considered against the law? My point here is that I believe it will be incredibly difficult to concretely define exactly what will be illegal. I'm betting there will be so many ways to get around this law (if it does go into effect), that it will be seriously pointless to even continue to put it into action. But this is just my two cents. Darn you, Reideen, you beat me to it!
  6. Ha ha ha ha, BHM! Always the gentleman. The "jumping on" I'm concerned with is from die-hard Indy fans who think I'm being sacrilegious. I love the Indy movies & was sad that Sallah wasn't in the latest one (#4).
  7. So, I'm not into the Muggs at all, but does anyone else think the banner advert that Entertainment Earth is running for their Indiana Jones ones is creepy? I mean, look at the way Sallah is glancing at Short Round (& SR's expression). And then it cuts off right above their hands. To me, it screams, "Bad touch!" PS - Before anyone jumps on me, I think the advert is funny (tho odd) & I laugh everytime I see it. I'm not saying that EE is implying anything either.
  8. Sorry to intrude on all the creepy stalker-ness going on here, but... Welcome to the forums, Doc!
  9. I feel the same way, but not for the same reasons. Many of the BSG sets are a good way to pick up female 'mates & civilian ones, too. I've wanted the Caprica set (in multiple, no less) since I first saw it & I don't even watch the damn show! And I wanted at least 2 2-packs from each set on top of that. I totally agree with BHM's comment about the AA blog -- not a good thing to do in my book. They should be the first ones to mention either side of the coin concerning releases. What a let-down!
  10. Happy Holidays, everyone! May your day(s) be as merry as mine! Hope you all get everything on your lists! Jenny
  11. I do very much! At first, the return city threw me off (Ralston), because I seem to remember you mentioning your area was Omaha. So I was seriously confused until I checked out the newspaper inside the box. Pretty crafty. I hope the holidays at your new house were/are fantastic!
  12. For days & days & days, everybody has been talking about their awesome gifts, but nothing was arriving at my house. For a few hours I worried that my Santa had forgotten about me. I know it was silly to think that & I wasn't trying to be ungrateful or demanding. (Sometimes I just have a hard time being patient.) But now I'm thankful that nothing arrived sooner. Today, Christmas Eve, my package was delivered! It's totally perfect that it showed up on the best day possible! I was so excited I opened it up right away! Inside the big box was: the IM "thru the ages" boxset pegasus six spider-woman kitty pride john stewart GL flash C3 nightwing/riddler/batman Woo hoo! I love everything, Secret Santa! <3 <3 You totally made my holiday! Thank you!! Now onto the detective work -- the return address was NE. The only one from NE that I know of is you, Reideen. Are you my Santa?
  13. You guessed it! Of course it probably wasn't that hard (especially since KB Toys refused to remove my info from the packing slip included in the first package -- even tho I begged & begged them). I'm glad you liked everything. I read somewhere that you were looking for anything Rocky 'mate-related & since I missed out on a First Date set on eBay the best I could do was his head.
  14. Dammit! Tell me honestly, is it the fact that I live in Beech Grove? Most likely because you have both your city & state listed. Ooh, I'm getting so excited seeing everyone's stuff! I hope mine comes soon! Early "thank you" in case I forget later.
  15. See, this is why I never liked Hasbro heroes... the wolf-kitty transformation is just WRONG. Maybe they're trying to broaden their "target audience" to include females and/or young girls. If I were to see that set in a store, I'd buy it for the cute kitty. (It so does not look like a wolf either.) PS - With the knife brown like that, it just looks like a stake. Like it could belong to Buffy & help her fight vamps.
  16. Ooh, I want the kitty! What's that supposed to be in its mouth?
  17. I don't think they're indifferent really (but they may be, I really don't know). I know they do have a list of countries that you can not ship anything perishable, be it food or whatever, and they check your shipping country against it & check whatever it is that you're sending against their "banned" list (guns, some food things, cigarettes, etc). I think you can look at their website for the list. I know (having done it myself with cookies & fudge) that Canada & England are not on the "banned" list. Or, if they are, I'm being bad.
  18. I know from spending lots of time at the PO (my dad works as their computer tech guy) that the reason they ask that is to determine how the item ships. 1. Liquids -- like lotions, shower gels, etc -- can not go on planes anymore & must travel by truck (which takes a lil longer). Plus, they must be packed securely, so nothing bursts/leaks/whatever during shipping. 2. Fragile is self-explanatory. 3. Perishable means that depending on which country it's going to (as there are some you can not ship this type to) it must be shipped expedited or other "fast" method of delivery. (Since no one wants rotting or expired items in their truck or on a plane.)
  19. Dear Secret Santa of mine, In the odd chance that you are cursing me for not being "list"-y enough, I made a new Have/Want post to help you. Thanks in advance for the present & know that I don't have the willpower to wait for the 24th/25th to open it. Appreciatively yours, Jenny
  20. Ha ha! I know that Palisades was the one that did Scully's bare bits -- at least if it came from Holly Gennero (from the Die Hard line). I have the Holly fig & was surprised that she was nekid under her suit coat or blouse or whatever you want to call it. I've used it in photostories, too. I was more curious if another of the female figs in the Palz line was like that, or if she was the only one. ('Cuz I'd buy it!!) PS - I think you're thinking of Nightmare Xander -- who I'd buy from you if you ever think about getting rid of him.
  21. So, should I assume I'm "HomeRaider"? In any event, I think the pic is cute & pretty silly. Is that Angel's bare chest (on Mulder) & the nekid torso from Holly Gennero (on Scully)? And, is there a Palz figure with a bare crotch piece?? I knew you were a dude, only cuz I used to read your blog a lot (back when the Batman Legos were first coming out).
