No Marvel minimates and no Godfather minimates this week according to my CBS guy's Diamond shipping list. This.

Well, hopefully none of us are anticipated waves 27/28 for August too much. I found out a bit of grim news concerning the Deadpool Mate, and all of wave 27/28. My friend and LCS owner Mr. Dave is friends with a few people who were/are in DST, and one of the guys shopping there at the time just so happened to be a former employer of DST(the first years active, when they mostly did statues like Lady Death). When I asked Dave if he found out when the new Deadpool was shipping(I had asked if he could find out for me the Friday before this). The other guy was standing next to Dave reading a comic while the two of us were talking, andI guess he overheard since he told me "I can give Chuck a call right now and ask if you want", since they are still friends, so obviously I said yes. So he calls him up, phone is answered. This is cool. But when he asks, Chuck said at latest and possible release would be by the end of October. The earliest would be around 4-7 weeks. Bricks were shat. So I'm guessing this is official if it's from chuck. I wish I had gotten the guys name, but I didn't. He did tell me they have never been on the ball with shipping dates. This is just a bit of unfortunate news. Discuss?

Not to change the subject, but Takara is way cooler, no doubt. You see the EZ Collection Devastator? They put our big, clunky, NON TRANSFORMING, Devy to shame. D: So I guess they both agreed to give the line up. Oh well, hopefully DST will do it good (by making the grin reefer).

Yeah, same here. I mean, even though it was a dead licensee it was still a huge money maker at the time. And aren't Hasbro/Takara separate? What? Fork up 30 bucks for some cardboard and two mates? I find that both hilarious and sad. Hell, I don't even think anyone should pay 20 bucks, I'd say 15 is much better. That just seems over the top. Now I know the whole "well nobody is saying you have to buy it" shtick, but I think it's ridiculous for anyone to pay that much. Some of their best/better products are so much cheaper than that!

The only person I need is Grin Reefer. I also remember having the rabbit, the moose, Cutthroat Cuttlefish and an owl. All of whom were hand me down figures. They were all pretty neat, but I always played with Grin Reefer. My mom woulds always have to be someone lame like the rabbit or moose while I used the cool people. She had to paint over his paint chips sooo many times. I probably still got him somewhere, possibly in the shed with my old toy castles, knights, and z-bots. I'd have to ask my dad about it. I got TONS of weapons when they were given to me, so there must've been more.

Wow, that is certainly unexpected. I'd never see that one coming. It's alright news. I remember playing with them and Z-Bots. I mostly remember I had the rabbit, the moose, the squid, and my favorite was the Grin Reefer(stingray). Only guy who's name I remember since I always made him the main bad guy(he'd be sitting on the Fisher Price castle throne :biggrin: ). Damn, I really hope he gets a mate!

You might be alone in that opinion. Yeah, I know. But I'm a sucker for villains, and one of the few villains in the waves is the godawful classic Titanium Man, and Scorpion looks like hell without a slip on mask. It'll just make his head look tiny, like the T-Bolts Gargan. I wonder why the masks weren't used for a few people.

That crocodile is absolutely hideous. I'll possibly get it for the armor, it could pull off a good 2000 A.D custom. The guard is alright, nothing too special. But the "playset" is a huge miss, I'll pass on it. A new Origins wave is a total downer. Those 4 look more like they will come in a set together or something, as a wave they look awful. The other Origins Wave didn't sell much as is. And I think waves 29, 31/32 are a waste of space. In my opinion there are just 4 good figures to get. I think with most characters people wanted out already, there isn't much more they can do after 32. I'd love an all villains or all female heroes/villains wave. I was more hoping for a Hood, Wrecking Crew, and Kang, but oh well. At least the X-Factor set is pretty damn sweet. I was hoping for a good version of their X-Factor counterparts sooner or later. That's a definite buy. edit: Are they selling the T-Bolts mates there? Just wondering since I haven't heard about it yet.

That's where I scored mine last week. Isn't finding it marvelous? I also snagged most of the BSG mates there not too long ago. Recently picked one up in Essex as well, they get their stock in pretty frequently so if anybody else is in MD needs them they tend to get theirs in pretty often.

Please tell me this is a typo. He's probably talking about the movie wave.lol You know, the Logan/Ryan Reynolds Deadpool. No luck at my tru. I'm only interested in the Spidey/Venom and Bullseye/Moonstone. They just had a few Doom/Hulk sets laying around.

If they were to use, say, Doppleganger then that'd have the whole mainstream hero covered. Kids would just think it was a scary Spiderman and it wouldn't stop them from buying it. Hulk? I'd settle for a Planet Hulk. It wouldn't be that hard to make a Villains wave, since yes, we do need more. I'd love some X-Men or Avengers foes. Hell, maybe a new Carnage while we're at it. Doc Ock can wait, he's just an old guy with self-aware tentacles in his back.

As will I. MAKE BAGMAN Make Bagman(would he even be listed with other Spideys on the Database) and DON'T MAKE KANG. Who wants him, anyways? Unimportant asshole. Now that Bagman, there is a true hero! My dreams for Lizard or a new Carnage have been promptly stepped and spit on.

^ Now there is great way to get arrested/fined and waste money on common 'mates! I saw a Union Jack/Wonderman but passed it. The box looked messed up, and the tape was worn as if somebody had opened it. It also looked like Wonderman also didn't have the greatest paint apps, that and I came across an Agent Zero and I'm in the process of saving up for the Slimer Edition. Over half way there.

Now that I look at him, Venom is a bit disappointing. He'd look so much better if he had the newer minimate mask piece, he's gunna' look a bit awkward without it while the other ones do. Just a thought... I can't wait for that Moonstone/Bullseye. It's great we'll be able to get a decent Thunderbolts team. :biggrin:

Although I doubt we'll ever see him, I'd love a Samhain(from the Halloween Special). Him or the possessed Taxi Driver, who has a better chance of making it into the series since he was, ya know, a movie character.

Storm(I like your sleeves, they're real big...), Black Panther, and Moon Knight all look incredible. I can't wait for this waves, it'll be a good expansion for army building, X-Men teams, Avengers, and for expanding the Marvel Universe. My only complaint is a wasted variant. Like we don't have enough Wolverine 'mates as is. A Strucker or Forge woulda' been nice...

THat is exactly how I felt. If I had to give Resolute a grade I'd say a C is fair. I understand the rushed feeling is because it was compiled of several 4-6 minute episodes, but it needed more Cobra Commander... Not enough screen time. He was such a great villain,

Anti-Venom sucks. Hated new ways to die, it reminded me of Toxin, Gargan is a way better Venom/Symbiote host than most others.

Well, it's good to give us more of a variety. All those sets you mentioned are more so for the older comic fans, and it's great they're doing that but what about the newer comics? Those need boxedsets as well, and it's great they do that. Just as you're a fan of the older characters, I'm more into the newer-gen costume designs/persona, cause' that is what I've grown up with. Not saying Avengers, Champions, etc aren't great sets.
