Hmmm. From the pics, didn't seem like there was a card. Makes me wonder if these are just prototypes to build retailer interest (like the Kellogg's mates).

Gross... But I like the huntsmate. And the mailman. And the fast food worker. And the construction worker. And clown. These are basically civilian mates in the disguise of zombies. But I would actually prefer them to be non-zombies... Luke, are you going to have a venture where you turn these zombies into civilians? I'd send you my packs for the conversion.

$8.99 would be in line with specialty MSRP prices, right? Unless specialty gets a bump too... And I think a bulky Rhino isn't likely in this wave anymore. There's already a bulky character in Kingpin. Maybe next wave? Or the one after in summer?

I get the concept of the bulKingpin, but he looks like he's got armor on with the shoulder pads. It'll take a while to get used to. A Spidey-sense Spidey was inevitable. But I always imagined it being executed different. Like a clear piece with painted yellow bolts hovering his head and not a completely yellow piece. And Boom Boom? Boom Boom? The character always looked annoying to me, but executed as a minimate looks great! Some interesting reveals. And just looking at wave 43 compared to the other stuff, it looks kind of dull. Like all the money got invested in TRU and not much in the specialty wave.

I'd hope TRU be a full exclusive wave (like XM:FC) while specialty has the army dump and possibly a 4-pack with different characters (SHIELD agents 4-pack?). But that's probably not going to happen.

I wonder how Lobsterman feels about that.

I never knew Beetle and Mach V/IV/whatever was the same character. I always thought they looked suspiciously alike. That honestly caught me off guard a little.

I think we're pretty far off topic, but oh well. Has anybody asked Chuck point-blank about these specific arguments being discussed in his Q&A? Variants being new characters instead of a... variant? And Winter Soldier dead so "won't be made"? And I'd like to add what Chuck specifically said about Winter Soldier. I took that as he just went away and isn't in our plans right now. If he is forced in the plans right now, he'd be out in people's hands at least a year(?) from now and will people respond to him the same as if he was alive and being spotlighted in a monthly comic? I would think yes, but I'm not complaining either way.

Watching that trailer, I couldn't help hearing Swedish House Mafia's "Save The World" in my head instead of what was really playing.

My GB Logo has a left hand that is loose. But I fix it my normal way with a thin strip of paper. Other hand and feet are okay, though. But also, my Logo has black scuff marks on his armpits. It looks like armpit hair...

I would like to say that I'd be okay with the civilian being the variant. 3 in a wave, not too happy in general, but I can give this wave an exception due to JJJ with newspaper accessory, Aunt May with hopefully some accessory (wheatcakes? frying pan?), and the obscure Jean (she's obscure to me) as the variant. To be honest, I thought she was some French dude. But please, no Wolverine Origins type waves ever again.

Not true. Tickets allocated to be sold during SDCC sold out. A larger amount of tickets will be made available online at a later date (preview night 4-day passes included). And then next year a month before the show (or something like that), they will resell the tickets that were returned. And based upon last year's online sales, you better jump the second they go live. If you wait 5 minutes after it goes live, you probably don't have a chance. And the Minimates Panel is typically on Saturdays. Chuck likes it on that day because there are usually more people on Saturdays. But there's always lots of people everyday nowadays. I believe it's been Saturday at either 1pm or 2pm for the past few years. Good luck to anyone who will be trying online sales! Getting tickets in person during the show sucked.

There's going to be a DST Minimates panel so Zach will probably have another slideshow that has all the dates and stuff on what's coming soon. He might post it online afterwards so we can all get an idea of when things come out. And don't forget to feed Zach. He gets jealous that Chuck gets all the cookies.

Maybe there will be a "Best of" wave so Stay Puft will be fixed then. And he'll be available in abundant amounts. I don't care if there's a screw up in the happy or angry face in the boxset. As long as Stay Puft is translucent, I'm happy.
