I have to say, I'm at least intrigued by Mr. Ziggles' storyline. If only for him getting decent air time and some type of a story every week. But it seems he is definitely being tested. Main event on Sunday (yeah, filling the void of all these main eventers being "MIA"). Played the good-guy-beaten-down role for all the match last night. Champ by end of year? As for the tag division, I liked Zig/Swag and thought they'd have at least a long feud chasing the titles just to make use of the titles and talent involved. But it seems like the focus is now on the Prime Time Players. They were entertaining on NXT for a while so I'm glad they got called up. Didn't think they needed AW in their camp, though. Hopefully Kidd/Gabriel gets over with their high flying stuff so there is another contender in the running to make the division interesting.

I'm glad a buddy pointed me to this thread! This is so fun peeking into the secret stashes and stories people have. So yeah, I'm sure this got us all going into our closets again. I'm jealous of several of your pics, Rob. Particularly the Spidey Max and Symbiote Spideys. Torment me with the Torment Spideys and I'll start making fun of your age again! And Rob, did you ever see this before? I still have the letter and square envelope DST sent me on the Venom tongue promotion. The first time I felt that DST honestly cared and they still do to this day.

I completely forgot about the Marvel.com poll. Yay for Onslaught being a choice! That's my biggest minimate want ever, if done well. But Holocaust gives me reason to believe that DST can pull it off. Man, going from years ago asking Chuck at SDCC if they ever considered Onslaught (said no) to now. But I won't keep my hopes up. We'll see what happens and I'm happy that DST decided to go through with this. Yes, BHM. I voted for Falcon.

I find it that movie mates are easier for me to skip. Passed on movie Avengers figures (except that Hawkeye switcheroo pack) and didn't get a huge urge for movie Amazing Spidey figures (except the Spidey/PP set...). But TRU waves... Comic Spidey? Yes! Translucent figure? Yes! Bulky character with an overdue character redo that I don't have yet? Yes! Characters that I don't care about but have awesome detail and look great? Yes! Plastic. Crack. I hate you Zack. (Not really, Zack. )

What about a Hawkeye with a Dick head?

Hey Zach. I did buy buy that "HawkAntEye" just to show you because I still you. Or something like that. It was found in a San Diego, CA store on Monday. The other 2 Hawkeyes were normal. Let's see who else gets the golden ticket!

Is Galactus coming? I mean, are they actually going to show his physical form? It makes the Galactus box set's timing seem kind of perfect.

The first thing I noticed among the two waves is that none of the heroes are smiling. Everyone seems sad or indifferent, even Iron Man and Spidey to me. Except for Ant-Man. He seems kind of happy. The villains seems happy to me, even the Kree Sentry. I interpret it that the heroes are getting tired being rehashed so much while villains are just happy to be there. :tongue: And is Cap going to get a mask that fits him well? :biggrin: Overall, if I were to take a minimates hiatus, this is a good way to start it. No disrespect to DST as I can see the reasoning. Get stores stocked up with heavy hitters for smash hit Marvel comic movies. That doesn't mean I have to like the choices. I'm sure the stuff later this year will be much better and will get us excited again. We just need to tough it out.

Oops. Didn't mean to derail the thread but while it is still derailed... Thank you all for the well wishes. I really appreciate it. I'm not down as I see it as an opportunity for change and to experience something new. I was at the place since I graduated so all I have known was one thing. It'll be fun to see how different another engineering company is. Much thanks to the company for allowing me to come here. :tongue: I will be okay and I have some money saved for the toy/comic fund but better to be on the safe side. Plus, I'm sure I can always catch up later via the Flea Market here. @ImABarRoomHero Sorry to hear you got affected too around the holiday time frame. Well, I'm kind of glad I didn't find them online yesterday. It might be a good time for me to just quit the collect them all game soon. Found out I'm going to be funemployed yesterday morning so it's probably time to kick the habit and just get what I really really want. Spideys and Wolverines and Deadpools!

So yeah, Phoenix is coming to Earth and it seems like everyone is assuming Hope is the new host that the Phoenix wants. Cap wants Hope to save the world or something. What I personally think is Wanda is going to be the new Phoenix host. She went crazy and now seems sane. So she becomes the host and can probably control it or something but in the end can't and Hope kills her. She saves the day as prophesied or whatever. Cyclops dies somewhere and Wolverine leads the X-Men and eventually gets together with Emma Frost. Not a rant against Marvel as I love them. I liked how it went last year so you have my blessings. But if a challenger steps up to the plate, I'd like to see a MMMV death match too. To be honest, it's hard to think of the worst overall minimate this year. Same with overall best.
