I hit a milestone with painting, and I'm just over 50% done. So I figure I might as well kick off the next Hangmate, again for guessing the "code name" of this wave. And yes, it's Wave 41, representing even more jumping around my own plans due to equal parts inspiration, obsession and parts availability. __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __

This will be my first missed SDCC in over a decade. Sorry to miss you and the team this year Zach, but hoping you have a great con.

I'm about 20% 35% done with the painting for the next wave. It's almost a paint-only wave: no decals, only some very light x-acto knife cutting. And thanks to the generosity and industry of @cylonchaney, we'll have some proper images for Hangmate. Which you'll definitely see more of, since it may be tough to guess. It has nothing to do with Nick Fury this time.

Luke I noticed you used swanky new curved templates for shin wraparounds -- do you have an updated image template you can share with the latest decal dimensions? Does such a thing exist? I'm working from an old template file that only has the "flat" shins and would like to upgrade.

I have plans for a more action-oriented version of Val, but this one (and Nick) were based on this appearance in NFAOS: You can't really see it in the pic, but she has the black choker. I am also going to experiment with a tiny white rubber band for her headband, just ordered a batch from Amazon.

I was inspired by reading the entire SHIELD omnibus, the old Strange Tales days, pre-jumpsuits and all G-Men looks. (And yes, "Company Men" is a bit sexist given the inclusion of Val). Gabe, Dum Dum, 2 Fury looks (with trench coat alts), Val (suit look), Jimmy Woo, Jasper Sitwell, and Tony Stark as he appeared in the very first ST issue featuring SHIELD.
