  1. Does Fury Jr use Cap's energy shield too? I've held off trading that old battle damaged Cap mate for ages just in case we ever got a Rogers and they didn't include one...
  2. I just use the transparent DST stands on any mate that seems a bit balance-challenged, from a big cape or big hair or whatever. The rest stand fine as long as I remembered to position the legs carefully when I set them up. But yeah, hearing that domino noise all of a sudden is definitely the worst! And trying not to knock more over as you pick up "the fallen"
  3. I'd like to see this too, if only to get Xorn, but I'd say it' REALLY unlikely. Marvel pretty much disassociated themselves from that run as soon as it ended. Shame, because it's still probably my favorite X-Men run. Well, not entirely. It's still how Scott and Emma hooked up and how Jean died. And where we got cat Beast, crystal Emma, the Cuckoos, Quentin Quire, and Fantomex, all very present in the books these days. And Morrison retconned all that Phoenix stuff back in during that run, which kind of led to the big event they just had.
  4. According to Bleeding Cool this deal doesn't include distribution rights for the OT or the prequels, they're still under Fox, who do whatever Lucas wants.
  5. TRU are pretty bad with Lego prices, sets are often marked up from suggested retail, even on their website. I guess it's a sign of confidence in Minimates? Albeit a super annoying one...
  6. Just pretend Stark used Maximate Sentinel technology when building this armor
  7. Yeah, despite the occasional glitch Minimate quality is usually pretty great, but I just don't trust that factory to print any Wolverine mate's eyes in the right place. I actually avoid buying new Wolvies online for that reason alone -- this is like the third or fourth time where the eyes were all over the place on the ones I looked through at the store. Of course then I was so happy to find one with almost straight/centered eyes, that I didn't notice the top bit of his chest tampo was missing until I got home
  8. Or just that he's a highly demanded character in a poll with several more highly demanded characters. She was my first choice, but even if she's everyone else's second that's an impressive wide appeal for the character. I do hope the mate has her regular hairstyle though, not the mohawk/spiky look she's been sporting lately, so she fits in with the other Ellis-bolts.
  9. I have no idea what the general fan response has been, but I'm sure liking it a lot! I love how they basically reinvent the show every year. Man, Freaks and Geeks is really good, but it's over so quick.
  10. Ditto, my Paypal payment went through but then it redirected me to a TRU page that wouldn't load. And when I tried going back to the TRU main page to check, my cart was still full and my account history doesn't seem to think an order was placed. Should've just paid with a credit card I guess, hope I didn't just "donate" $40 to this shipping company.
  11. To be honest, after they fired Harmon and replaced him with those Just Shoot Me guys, of all people, my expectations were pretty low for this season anyway. Still, deciding not to air it at all isn't a great sign. That excuse about the marketing is just really weird. I'm enjoying how crazy Fringe has gone this year, sad it's the last one though.
  12. Thanks for taking the time to report back to us today, hellpop! Sounds like you had a fun day.
  13. If anyone does feel like making some proxy purchases for other board members, and wants to help out a sad Canadian, AND is going to be in or around the 'artist's alley' area, then please shoot me a PM. It's just a little $10 sketchbook I'm looking to get, but it would be fantastic if anyone can help. Regardless, I hope any Multiversers lucky enough to make the show have a great time!
  14. 2) if everyone KNOWS the date won't be accurate, then isn't it on us for getting irritated when it isn't? Shouldn't we learn from experience, expect the items late, and be pleasantly surprised if they arrive early/on time? Also they don't circulate specific release dates, they circulate specific release date estimates, clearly labeled as such every time they post them. If everything was "Q4" that's what would irritate me, since it would mess up how I budget my toy purchases. I'm just happy they take the time to post these at all.
  15. That's a shame. I still think they look great together, I've never been that bothered about scale though. And the characters are in such different "art" styles that I guess I just never expected Mega Man to have realistic child proportions in relation to Samus. Going by this pic, it looks like the characters aren't in scale even within the Figma line itself:
  16. On mine his collarbone rubbed off like a Thundercats logo. Had the correct arms though.
  17. Like Mrs. Dr. K, I'll be picking one up the second it has a new Zelda for me to play. Which will probably be at least a year or two, so hopefully the price will have dropped by then Well either GC had two or Wii had two, depending on your point of view, and then the other system really only had one yeah. It does feel like the development time's increased. Then again, SNES and original Game Boy only had one each I guess.
  18. Zach, don't know if it's possible, but it would be awesome if both of these waves got the full AA blog photo preview treatment whenever the samples show up. It would be really helpful for deciding which version of each character I'm going after...
  19. That's a very Ahab hairpiece on the wolfy guy. As I've barely heard of him I'm with the people wishing he was Man-Thing, but the rest of the set is full of win. And surely having a new Strange sculpt at hand can't hurt the chances of an astral version showing up at some point.
  20. Yeah, they're pretty great -- the serial killer joke gets a bit annoying after a while, but his analysis is very smart, and entertaining. I especially liked the part where he asks people to describe the original trilogy characters and then the prequel ones, and the part about so many of the prequel scenes being people sitting on couches or slowly walking and talking, against some brilliant computer-animated backdrop they don't actually interact with, because of Lucas' comfy little green-screen room.
  21. I'm enjoying the season a lot so far, seems like they're balancing out the doom and gloom with the fun bits better than last year. Love how the opening titles keep getting darker each week, very ominous...
  22. I really like the hair and head from the first Ant-Man mate for Doug, really reminds me of how he was drawn way back when.
  23. Man, I found the bump codes way harder to read on this new series, came up 0/3. If anyone wants to trade for the pirate and alien, I'm looking for the businessman, Shakespeare guy, or the female skier...
