The license says they cant sell 2 inch mates, but has it ever been asked if they could do a promo mate of a bigger size? like giant man? I remember at one point they got away with something they were not supposed to do by making it a giveaway. Whats the stance on this?

I was wondering why there are not more boxsets. I love my giant size x-men set, and the spiderman set turned out all right. I can understand doing more repaints in a set like the spiderman set instead all new parts like the xmen set, but it would still be a great way to get out more characters. From my understanding the xmen set sold well and my city (dallas) has sold out of the spiderman sets. And as far as street fighter series 2, AFX loves their exclusives, Has a series 2 box set been pitched out? Are you guys still looking at options? I would have bought series one when it came out but I couldnt find anything but the darkstalkers pack in dallas. One more, is a box of zombie Fantastic four possible is the regular zombie box sells well? Thank you so much for taking time to answer us fans.

I love my giant size x-men set and the box art is gorgeous. It even has art of the original 5 xmen in old costumes as mates. Id like to see that done after looking at the art for years now. I have always though box sets were a great idea, having popular characters mixed with obscure ones to help fill out the collection. Ive always thought it was crazy for art asylum to not do more box sets. Hope fully the marvel zombies set sells out and they do more boxes, like a ZOMBIE FANTASTIC FOUR!!!! You cant have zombie mates without the four who started the book.

according to DST's website, aug 29th. 18 days. 11 days till the avengers wave supposedly comes out.

speedball and nitro before other characters of great importance isnt too likey...But if they did do it, what would you want to see in the civil war cap? The new avengers cap is on my display b/c of his details, my only problem is him smiling all the time. and when I do a head swap, the frowning head is too loose on the cap body. How about black goliath and robo thor? with special holy variant?

Yeah, I meant for wave 9. And as for darksied, he and superman were in that c3 throne room set that was commonly available and in higher numbers. I only remember the mini flyers at target and the mini javelin at comic shops. I live in a big city so we get a good feel for what is going where for the rest of the country. That is to say every toy report you read about something usually matches my city just because we have so many stores. So yeah, the darksied was common peg warmer material and the flyers and later DC c3 sets were not ordered as much due to sales of the 1st wave of c3. And if the average results are like that in a big city like mine, Im sorry for all the small town people with one walmart or toys r us that order a case of somthing and dont reorder.

dc mates waited 7 waves to remake the hard to find flash and nightwing figs for collectors, they are going to wait even longer for characters like darksied. It just makes sense. But after seeing wave 8, Im not even going to try and guess. sinestro I wanted, but everything else was kind of out of nowhere to me. I dont think I much like the idea of 2 alt universe figs in 1 wave. Ive been buying dc characters because of the diversity, which we still have and the fact that Im filling up my dc collection by 8 figs everytime. and this wave is going to be 6. CRAP. I will take 1 guess though, since they based the question and batwoman off current comic events, Ill say, martian manhunter and black adam for wave 8. hopefully MM's classic outfit, but if it meant getting the modern manhunter outfit, Id rather get a battle damaged captain marvel and black adam.

dr manhatten wave 9? Buying them all aside, sinestro is the only one I want. I love the question as vic, but having this version right now means its going to be a long friggin time before we get a vic, if we get a vic. I didnt even know there was a batwoman or a female question. So yeah, marvel fans, go read the dc encyclopedia for my onfo. Awesome book. this wave and the last more than anything should get a good look by marvel, b/c marvel, is currently getting whomped.

I missed out on black spidey a while back, does everyone here love that figure or something? You could just paint some black over the old venom's mought and get the same figure.

If you look at the taskmaster's head, it is a head that was sprayed with black paint and the face looked kind of wierd because it was a sticker they colored up. It is more noticable in the SDCC pics. They photoshopped the official pic so you couldnt see all of the edge of the face sticker. so yeah, I hope his face turns out better b/c now it looks like he has a big black forehead. and I hope they use hobgoblins cape on him to b/c the dr doom cape is crap. crap.crap.crap. They closed every suncoast in my state, and we HAD 1 FYE in my city, and its a big well known city. So hopefully DST will do what they did with the sdcc zombie 2 pack and the wwla spiderman preview set and offer it on their site. If not, AFX has a history of selling other peoples exclusives cheap. WHOOOOOOOOOO AFX!!!!!!

I have the old green goblin and once DST gets that green goblin from there target deal out then Ill have an extra purse for hob goblin. however, if you look at the way his cape is put on, it might have some trouble fitting, but it depends on the cape thickness beccasue you still need room to pop his head on. Speaking of which, his hood looks to be independent of the cape, so his head will swivel, plus like someone said, that current taskmaster cape:crap. As for a glider, did you guys forget about the kubrick hobgoblin? I bought it cheep for my green goblin, it looks like I need another one now too. the scale is very good and the goblin looks good on the glider. Ill try and post a pic.

I have never liked cyborg supermans look, until I saw his minmate with a removable face... He is choking out my series 2 superman right now, and bane is kicking my batman in the face. : )

I like the idea of civilian minimate bystanders, but as far as movie mates go for marvel, Id prefer they kept them seperate from the comic marvel mates. I like the X3 mates even though I detest that movie, and I will totally buy the ghost rider mates provided they make it out, just because Im a ghost rider fan. But Id rather have more comic characters as mates than movie ones. If they hadnt done the x 3 mates, which didnt sell really well around here because that movie was horrible, or if they didnt make wave 15 into ghost rider and take so long in releasing it, then we could be playing with more comic characters right now. And if the ghost rider wave does get cancelled, then DST wasted a whole wave that could have been characters we want. maybe if blackheart looked like he did at the end of the movie, then there would be more preorders. It cool though because Id rather wait and get a demon version of him and mephisto. AS for LOTR mates, maybe they should have release a ringwraith in the 1st wave, or even the 2nd. I would have put more effort into getting them all if they had ringwraiths to fight.

This set is gonna rule. An Eye of Agamotto would be cool too.

Firstly MINI_MYTE, I love arnim zola. ANd no I didnt end up with him, But I would totally pay you for one. Zola is a bizarre character that I dont ever imagine them making. But yeah, Id love my own of your design. Props to you. I made a war machine and I hate it, Im better in the 6 inch scale with customs. I had no idea that the 6 figs one variant might be in place because of the contract they have...I hope you are right and they do go towards getting rid of a variant, but if it is part of the license, then I'm not going to complain anymore about it. I think after more success from dc mates, the people in charge of contracts with marvel will have a little more info to back up any requests on changing the license. Im hoping that marvel competitive spirit will come out. Im my opinion, the mates are the best marvel mates out right now, as the hasbro legends have seriously dipped in quality. Devil dinosaur would be cool. A real zola, red skull, or jigsaw too, and I would die for a modok.

The x3 mates were the only good product to come out that had to do with that movie. I hate that movie. It made me not want to watch the other 2.

I hate that I am a bigger marvel fan than dc fan, and when I look back at my marvel minimates, the character selection is not consistently good, the paint apps and detail are not always there, and the part reuse is so high, whereas dc minimates are constantly getting better. Clayface and grodd have about 5 new parts each, thats 2 out of 8 characters, and the detail is better. I love the upcoming marvel waves, but 3 waves are movie tie ins, and the only movie fig to fit in with my comic mini's is the all sand version of sandman. the comic waves are coming and a defenders box, and the taskmaster set and the zombies and the detail is greatly improving on the marvel mates, even though there is still some reuse, especially on female hair, a problem dc doesnt have. So yes, it does seem marvel has noticed the competitor's mates and is trying to catch up. But Im a marvel fan first. And we all went through the drought where the first 2 waves in a long time were all heroes, but still, we could be getting more. I would be more than willing to give up a variant each wave for more characters.They do multiples of all kinds of people all the time with little difference, and to me, those are the same as variants. Look how many superman and batman and spidey variants there are. Those people complaining about angel could get a whole new angel in another wave. Iron man costumes and others could be spread out to cover their butts with popluar characters, just like spidey and wolverine. DC gets 8 characters per set, so I go home and expand the dc universe by 8 every time. Marvel, I expand by 6, b/c until recently, I havnt seen one variant worth buying. the angel is the only one, but thats just for the head and hair, Im not a fan of that suit at all. So, would you guys be willing to give up your variants for more marvel? What else would you be willing to do? I know DST doesnt always listen to fan polls, or else Id be playing with the sinister six at work, but I would love 8 marvel characters per wave, because I know a lot more about marvel and we are lacking on complete teams of anything and villains. Im new to DC, and its gotten to the point where I want to know more about a character just because of a minimate. So what would you do?

I think the legs on the original sandman were to plain, and the stripes were lacking too. I dont have the new sandman, but can some mixing and matching work out well enough to get a good sandman out of the 2? and yeah, the clear parts represent his turning into sand powers in action.

I loved marvel zombies and got every cover. I wont consider zombie mates done till we get a zombie thor, full wasp and the fan 4 who started it all. plus, they are proving with those that they can best the dc mates in detail. aside from that, we have 3 comic waves to look forward too and another zombie miniseries coming. great time to be a deadmate.

my problen with hydroman is I dont have one available to buy from my shop.

this sucks, I have been haunting target since april when they were first going to come out. I just hope they dont recycle the goblin and spiderman into wave 21 or something. I would like to get theses separate, like a box set or exclusive for someone else. Id love to see the web armor spidey and transformation venom they were going to use. I dont understand why they didnt show them at sdcc, even if target flaked out.

I've been waiting for DST's site to update and sell the marvel zombies minimate set from SDCC just like they did the spiderman 3 preview set, but they haven't they do however have approximate release dates for everything. even the defenders.

theres always an exacto knife and ultimate sabre tooth's jacket to slap on a rogue mate, Ive been thinking about that myself. plus we need more xmen. gambit, psylocke, jim lee storm. I HATE the storm ffrom the giant size set. I leave her in the box. plus the hair piece doesnt stay on. More villains and jubilee would rule
