Just got back from my LCS with them. They had misplaced the case but found them yesterday. So as soon as I open them and check them out I will post my rating of them. Excited!

By the way should we still be calling this the Classic set? Because nowhere on the package does it seem to have the word Classic. The Spider-Man title appears to be based on the Animated Series font too.

Thanks both of you. I am going to check on eBay for them. I need to have a good glider because I want to do a recreation of that classic Spider-Man cover where he's unmasked and being hauled through the air by GG.

Very nice. Where did you get such a nice Goblin Glider. I have been looking for one that authentic. The one that came with the first SM movie lego set wasn't even close enough to the comic one. Thats a clever use of Hydroman I didn't know you could do that with figure.

I was thinking the same thing about an Alan Scott. I'd like to eventually have a full fledged JSA team. Dr. Midnight, Hourman, Sandman, the original Atom and the full-masked Hawkman. My store didn't have these yesterday just had the new Spider-Man pack. Maybe I'll get lucky next week.

Should have mentioned that I took the old hairpeice off of my first Sandman and put it on him in the picture. I took that action image for myself (I've got a whole gallery of them yep I'm a geek) but then later thought to put it up here. No the set doesn't come with a spare hairpeice for the yellow head but I think it should have. What if you don't have the older Sandman? That would be a lame look for the figure then. There's even a hole in the transparant head, weird.

Thanks Fujis should have thought of that. Now that I look really close at the figure I can see brown hair and not blond like Eddie's would be. I was just thrown by the grim if not angry expression on Pete's face. But he's in the black costume which could cause the mood. I took some pictures if anybody is interested.

I managed to score one. Very happy with the set. I like the new Spider-Man even better then the original. I'm not surprised to hear somebody's Hydro-Man has an arm problem because unlike the other four figs in my set HM's arms were very stiff and would not move at first and I thought they might break when I had to bit a pressure on them. Then they both clicked and they're fine now. Must have been a problem att the factory. I don't think that's Peter though on the damaged black costume. I think it's Eddie. Does anybody know for sure?

Yeah I too could have done with out the urination. Also I felt when Bumblebee actually got to speak at the end he sounded really odd. But Prime was beautifully handled even with the flames. Cullen did a fantastic job.

Whoa. That last sentence gave me acronym overload. I had better go sit down.

In my opinion you should never value a collectible based on how much other people want it. Instead you should value it based on how much the item personally means to you and that's it. And if currently the figure (such as the original Black Spider-Man) costs more then your personal price, then I say move on it wasn't meant to be and wait for it to go down, if ever. From what I have observed of the evolution of the Minimate production I highly doubt they are ever going to rerelease perfect duplicates of any figures ever again. Like the second Flash in the C3 line. Or the second Spider-Woman or Iceman. Not wanting to say this argument is moot but, well... And Dan isn't there already another version of the black suit? The new SM3 one?

That's too bad sorry you got bored with Minimates. That can happen. But it's good you aren't totally giving up on it and letting the site stay open. That way perhaps after some time you can start up again. Or pass the torch to another reviewer.

I liked it a lot. It was exactly what I thought it would be. Funny and fun with lots of robot fights. When Starscream looped up and landed on the buliding transformed everybody cheered. I agree that the Cullen and Weaving interaction seemed a bit fake but that is one of a very few flaws that I saw. I'm hoping for a Spider-Man 2 level of improvement in the sequel.

I want that Sailor Moon. Your customs are amazing. Tuxedo Mask is perfect I would be very interested in purchasing a set of these from you if you ever decided to sell online.

Don't care when they come this week just that there are new Minimates this week. Is Hawkgirl in this set? Because I need her to complete my Justice League seven.

It's been done before hasn't it? Wasn't there a bomb mate or something like that? The guy I bought my collection from said he was a member of the previous AA board and one of the Minimates he kept and didn't sell me was all white with a black bomb on it's chest. He said they sent it to him free.

Well it is a Bay film so I wasn't expecting a The Usual Suspects level of characterization. Sounds about what I expected. A fun popcorn film thats not too deep with lots of great action and special effects. Like the new Die Hard or FF2 both of which were popcorn yet still quite enjoyable. At least I thought. Going to go see it tonight. Bought the tickets two weeks ago so good or bad I was going to be there.

Yes very good customs and so many. How do you find the time to do them all? Sorry if I missed it but have you ever done any Transformer designs? Like Soundwave. I think he might make a good Minimate.

Thanks for clearing that up drgnrbrn316. Now I remember him from the cartoon. He was the one obsessed with Mary-Jane who made a water clone of her. Too bad that missing MJ storyline was never resolved. I pretty much recognized the others though. I have those comics and that SM looks like the McFarlane version in those first issues he drew. Odd the name of the set then seeing as only Sandman appears to be a Classic style character.

Cant wait to see how it looks fully painted. Was amazed at the detail in your Amethyst. I thought I was the only one who even remembered her and here you've gone and made an actual Minimate of her. Wish I could make customs even half as good as yours. You are an artist.
