I think the big question, if they do make Star Wars Minimates, is not who they make but how they go about releasing them. What scale do they go in? Do they go with the Lord of the Rings style and have 3", 2.5" for people and use the 2" for ewoks, Yoda, jawas and the such. Or do the go the DCD route and have 2" and 2.5" for the more upscale figures. I hope they go the way of Battlestar Galactica figures and have all 2" for all characters (with the short feet for short characters). Also, will they then try out packs of characters with ships like they tried for BSG? If they do will this mean a second chance for the BSG ships when the Star Wars line is successful. How will they go about crazy essential characters like a Jabba the Hutt? or even R2-D2? The imagination is already going wild with questions/ideas about how they are going to make a Dalek for the Dr. Who line. How will they package them? That is easy..... every way they have before: 4-packs 12 figure cases 2-packs 1 figure and 1 ship (like speed racer) lots and lots of exclusives from everywhere hell, even bring that old 10-pack they tried at TRU Second to Lastly, who do you want is more my question? My top 10 list is: 10, Knights of the old Republic (anybody) 9, Shadows of the Empire (anybody) 8, Mara Jade 7, Gonk Droid 6, Obi Wan Kenobi (ROTS) 5, B-Wing Pilots 4, Stormtroopers 3, Shadow Troopers 2, A-Wing Pilots 1, Jawas!!! Finally, the only reason I would want to see Star Wars minimates is because when the BSG line ends, and nothing ever lasts forever, I needs me some Sci-Fi mates to fill the empty void left behind.

I am a bit confused....... Do they have this set for sale right this time, like, at the show? Or, are they selling preorders? If they have them all right now, fantastic news. Neat how they kept it a secret until the toy fair. Also, 2000 pieces is still an awful lot. I mean they had what, 3000 pieces made of the Defenders set? They still have them for sale on their site with extra incentive if you order from them directly.I could very well be wrong though.

This is terrible news. I guess we will never get a newer 2.5" Darkseid. At least I still have my BSG mates to comfort me.

The dead number six looks fantastic. I am so glad I ordered as many cases of these Razor mates like I did. The Star Trek mates also look great, I might have to start buying more of these.

I hope they have boxes of Stormtroopers like they had for Cylons!!! I would like it to include: Basic Battle Damaged Shadow Commander Snow Also, how there were classic and Modern Cylons. have a Storm and Clone cases.

Wow, this being the final season coming up for BSG, it sure has not slowed the BSG mates releases this year. woot woot to more Battlestar minimates.

Well, I got some great news. I finally got my grail. A post I made on here back on June 29 of 2007. I finally got my C3 Throne Room Battle. Next on the list is the promotional poster for the Battlestar Galactica minimates. (If anyone can hook me up, that would be fantastwhimisical)

I hope with this being a box set, they went back to the blank white mate with the paint applied overtop from series one as opposed to the series two where they have a colored base with the details added. I feel series one has a much more cleaner look and hopefully this sweet box set will follow suit.

I have recently heard that because of the writers strike and due to the lack of scripts, Universal has talked to SciFi about re-interest in the prequel to Battlestar Galactica, Caprica. This is very good news to hear. The possible production of this show will mean life after season four and hopefully more BSG minimates once they cover all the characters from the modern and classic series. And on the toy front. for those Canadian members, BSG series one action figures will be shipping to some stores within the week or two. FYE has also got an exclusive Anders figure.

I was in NY for new years eve, I happened to pop into Midtown comics and the have a large store, and they do have quite a few minimates, but mostly from newer series. I walked by Collector's Universe and they were closed, but through the window it looked like they had a lot of neat stuff. Minimates though I am not sure. Anyway, New York city is fantastic. P.S. what hotel? I was at the Edison, fantastic.

I really don't like these packages I would have prefered to have the same boxes from the cylon 5-pack and the Marvel zombie set. Oh well, they still look pretty darn sweet and I am still getting three sets of each.

Word around the SciFi portal is that Battlestar Galactica will return with ten episodes on April fourth. This also brings the show back to friday nights.

To add what I found out...... Mattel is making toys for the speed racer movie. All kinds of hot wheel sets. The Speed Racer movie will prob be under a different contract if DST wants to make them. Anyway, just though tI would share the good or sad news.

Hi welcome. What part of Canada do you come from? Toys R us might have some BSG ones still, but that is it so far for major retailers.

Does anybody know if they come in cases of six sets? How did the other box sets come (cylon 5 or marvel boxed sets)

The modern line is not dead. Remember that next year is the 20th anniversary of BSG.
