  1. That's at least 2 Wesker leg snaps reported. Anyone try black hair on their Wesker to see if it makes a good Neo?
  2. Had to hit a couple LCS's before finding the Felicia/X-23 set.. short packed and getting snatched up fast (at least around SLC). Anyone have any guesses as to whether the TRU wave will hit tomorrow or next week? My local TRU gets their new stuff on Fridays.. but I wondered if thinking tomorrow might be the day is a little too much wishful thinking. Gotta get a couple Modoks.. especially if Elvis and Mrs Modok customs are to be done! ;P also FYI: my buddy snapped the Wesker (Blonde Neo) leg off very easily.. that shinny paint seems to have dried a bit sticky.. once the joints were moved a bit they flowed fine but he has a leg snapped off right at the hip joint.. so be careful.
  3. Re-release for sure.. throw in a new bulky hulk variation and you got solid gold. My question is, why not re-release TRU short packs? Variant rules do not apply.. so why not?
  4. FYI: Final Knight Rider car showing up in TRU's in Utah (standard version, not hot pursuit mode with M.Knight, not Garth).
  5. Fun list.. but leaving out a certain character makes me think voters are out of their falcon minds.
  6. Free grammar lessons!?! Where do I sign up?
  7. Question: Does anyone think there will be any minimate surprises at SDCC? I know all the box sets are announced.. but wondering if any new prototypes might be on display.. or some other type of surprise announcement. Seems like years ago SDCC was a plethera of news, prototypes and surprises.. I guess now we are all plugged in so well that it does not leave much for the con. I would love to be wrong.. any insight?
  8. Found character creator in Batcave. Pretty disappointing as you can not really apply any super powers. Absolutley loving the game anyway! Black Adam is my favorite for cruising around Gotham looking for Gold Bricks and Hero Arches. Flight, Invulnerability, Super Strength and his Lightning power works like Heat Vision on gold bricks AND mimics Batman's lightning suit. We had all the neices and nephews over playing as a group trying to find and unlock heroes after playing through story mode.. It is a ton of fun not knowing who is going to walk through the gold brick archway after you build it.. everyone cheered when we found Hawkman. After almost a week I can say this is hands down my favorite Lego game so far.. and I still get to go back through on free play and take my time getting every piece... as for Gotham.. I will be exploring and finding stuff for weeks. Oh one more thing.. super speed during flight= AWESOME. While flying tap the X button (on PS3) a couple times to go super sonic. Just awesome! Braniac is pretty sweet too.. since he has magnet power. Has anyone found a character that can mimic batman's power suit (shooting rockets or bombs?)??
  9. That MODOK is absolutely AWESOME! M.O.D.O.K. Minimate Organism Designed Only for Keepin' it real!!! Every month seems to be bringing me steps closer to having all the major players in EMH.
  10. With the Hulkbuster Iron Man so ridiculously hard to find.. I will be happy to get another "buster" suit.
  11. Feels like the beginning of an AA meeting. "Hi, my name is Hulk.. and I have two left hands."
  12. Sinestro is probably there to rob a bank. I've always loved it when characters with cosmic level powers are bothering with things at the city level. I say that being a huge GL fan. I can not wait until I unlock Hal and Sin. I'm curious if anyone has used the character creator and if it is true that you can assign any in-game power set to your custom characters.. If so, I am going to have a blast creating custom heroes.
  13. ...well if I glue 3 squinkies together, that might equal one minimate.
  14. Anyone get to the character creation area yet?
  15. Great pics! This is a fun thread. Of all that you have shared.. the Hulkbuster's have me the most jealous (and proud)!! The cool part is all of the stories that go with the collecting. Good times!
  16. Future Minimate Display: Sasquatch vs Hulk vs Hulkbuster Iron Man vs Wendigo.. Come on, we are half way there!!
  17. These continue to be the most passionate threads around here. Seriously, thank you to everyone for a fun read. Until Saint Walker is killed off and stays dead for a decade.. I retain hope.
  18. Mine was on the receipt. I only got a chance to play for a couple hours late last night but I am with Jeff on the water effects. FANTASTIC! I was a little antsy to unlock some JLA members and I have yet to see Superman. It looks like the game really does focus on Batman and Robin and their suits early on (or through all of story mode.. not sure yet). I did try Bizzaro and Black Adam and they are a lot of fun.. I was hoping Bizarro's powers would have switched it up with him utilizing freeze vision and heat breath.. but honestly just having the basic Superman powers is pretty awesome!! Also.. it looks like the Marvel family can "shazam" lightning off their chests at will. Pretty cool. I hope to get further tonight and actually unlock Superman and Green Lantern.. and I am very interested in seeing the character creator. I am hoping to make Wonder Girl, Green Arrow(w/Huntress' powerset), Superboy, 3 more Earth GL's, etc.. Those are the first easy customs I could think of. Also, the voice acting adds a lot to this type of story.. I actually LOLed a couple times. One more thing.. you could explore the Gotham Hub for hours and not see it all in detail.. I love it. I would Email gamestop for sure.. or even call one for instructions. I think they typically email the codes out when it is a mail delivery. Best of luck!
  19. The throbbing excitement of a big city hospital??...
  20. I think I saw a picture of the Vicki Vale Lego character. It's the strawberry blonde version, right? I wonder if she will have any special ability other than blowing my mind when I was 13.
  21. ^^^^This Not a game per-say but they do come inside little plastic spheres that are about the size of a small bouncey ball.. with this they have play sets that let you roll them around like a gum-ball. My 2 year old thinks they are pretty cool. I do like them better than many other DC miniatures out there on the market.. but I would much rather see a return of Minimates. My boy has some Marvel characters and some Squinkie Cars (Pixar) cars. The detail on the cars is pretty cool for how small they are.
  22. I found an interview [below] with one of the TT developers saying that the handhelds have some of the same worlds but not everything the same (but have restored the two player local co-op feature.). Also, they added a "Justice League Mode" to the handhelds where you team up and battle evil is some specific way. They did say in time they will probably be able to utilize more of the power that the Vita has but for now it is not exactly the same game. I pre-ordered the PS3 version at Gamestop for the Lex minifig. I will most likely get a Vita later this year and as much as I love these games.. I will probably be getting it for the Vita as well. (One other interview I read said that Superboy was a handheld exclusive) Also, it looks like you can custom create figures WITH different superpowers. So I would guess you could make all of the Earth GL's, Wonder Girl, Green Arrow(using Huntress' bow), etc. I am hoping this bit of info turns out to be true. Find out tomorrow. http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2012/06/lego-batman-2-handheld-multiplayer/
  23. Looks like Squinkies have 2 waves of DC figures on their way. The official site has pics as well as this dudes post: http://therumorbuster.com/board/all-other-toy-lines/dc-universe-squinkies!/ They look great.. but every miniature that comes out makes me think, "DC Minimates... I miss you".
  24. Love the Iron Man! I must have it and I am guessing it will get some strong voting support at TRU. I didn't think I would love Scarlet Witch.. but I really do. Great redo.. but it makes me want a new Quicksilver. This is the best news I have seen since seeing that Squirel Girl will be a playable character on Marvel Heroes Online.
  25. Specifically 18,792 last month. Thunderbolts #174 came in at 131 on the sales chart. No idea how sales are elsewhere including digital sales but I'd have to say their Q-score is pretty low compared to others. Have they gotten any love in cartoon form yet? Right, that was kind of my point though -- that it's low for a Marvel comic, but 19,000 people is still a lot when you think about it in the context of this poll, and who's likely to be browsing Marvel's website. And looking it up on that link, the Ellis run from a few years back peaked at over 66,000, with the trade just squeaking into the Top 20 graphic novels. No idea about cartoons, Songbird's wiki says she appeared on Super Hero Squad. Oh and The Vox mentioned she's a playable in that video game. I probably nerded out on this too much in my posts yesterday, my only real problem is the notion that we can have any idea which characters those 10,000 poll voters consider more or less obscure. Once you get down past the big guns like Spidey and Cap it's such a subjective thing. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 was a pretty successful (and recent) video game and Songbird was a playable character. You can google-image Songbird Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 if you want to see some of her costume variation. I know I do not represent the "average" comic fan.. but I tend to enjoy the Video Games, Movies and Animated stuff as much (if not more) than the actual comics they are based on. I may not represent a ton of Marvel fans.. but I know there are others like me that frequent the marvel.com website. It will be interesting to see how this all pans out.
