  1. It's pretty cool. I've become a regular at an LCS or two solely because of Minimates [switched to a new one because it was the only one left in town still carrying them regularly or at all -- they get all my business now].
  2. Okay, I had to look up a couple of those, but yes to the first four certainly. I'm thankful to you guys for this wave though, very happy
  3. I think flight stands of all types [explosive/flaming, clear for non-combusting fliers ] and in various clear colors would be sweet [various shades of red/orange/yellow/blue for the flames, and all the Lantern auras!]. Pretty much all of the cool dio ideas I would've had have already been suggested. I was thinking of some build-a-skylines in day and night palettes for me -- New York and/or Metropolis and Gotham. Although that's already been covered, mostly. Not many standard locations left... alien-ish ship interior, desert, urban/city, [savage land-esque] jungle, slums/sewers, [x- or avengers] mansion, office/penthouse suite, a school... Oh, and maybe a couple more pegs on the dio floor for that sample... and wall too, for certain wall-crawling webheads to perch. Awesome idea Luke, and I'm glad a producer of your caliber is all over it! Now I just need to worry about shipping them things over here
  4. Wow, she looks nice. Not too crazy about the face though.
  5. Seconding the AoA ideas. I'd love a Magneto with the "long white hair" look, and a lot of designs from that story are cool. Clone Saga! Scarlet Spider [with molded web capsule bracelets and slip-on hoodie piece], Kaine, Spidercide [or a redone Ben Reilly with slip-on mask?], The Jackal House of M: Hulk, "Red Guard" Wolverine, Iron Man, Magneto [regalia] [World Without A ] Captain America: Winter Soldier, Falcon, Nick Fury, Crossbones War of Kings: Vulcan, Gladiator, Ronan the Accuser, We could also use a Young Avengers set... and I'm not too familiar with the series but an Exiles pack would be amazing.
  6. Bleh on Battle-Damaged Spidey. I'm fully aware that there needs to be a Spidey released every 5 minutes and he makes perfect sence for inclusion in a 4-pack related to him, but I'd really rather have seen a Spider-Sense Spidey [with a color scheme using one of these inverted, high-contrast or clear versions of his regular colors] or a similarly Spideyish costume. Black Cat, well, not bad. Finally one with some fur on her costume and a non-Jean Grey hair sculpt. Doc Ock... it figures they'd turn around and make a better one after I upgraded my Ock's arms Still, the new arms, fatsuit and hair are excellent sculpts, and that new face deco is wow. This'll replace my default Ock, and I can still retain the tentacle-walker. I wonder how grafting these arms to an Iron Spidey would go [probably not much of a go there, since they seem to come from pipes installed into the back of the fatsuit piece]. Vulture is awesome, and I can't wait for them to start maximizing this new mold piece the way they did Angel's -- both classic and modern looks for Falcon, young 90s animated series Vulture, "Spectacular Spider-Man" red/black Vulture...
  7. I'm fairly certain this has been tried before, but it's new to me and thus awesome for the moment. Was at a local collector event recently bemoaning the lack of Minimates when I came across a Superhero Squad Doc Ock for $1 in a bargain bin. Picked it up idly and noticed the "tentacle walk" tentacle assembly seemed to just be glued or pegged onto his back. Bought it, went home, and some dabs of super glue and one rubber band [to hold it in place for the superglue to dry and fuse] later... It actually works pretty well -- after I unplugged the SHS tentacle arm base out of the figure's back and rummaged around to find a spare Minimate Ock fat suit in a parts box, I found that the plug itself fit neatly between the fat suit's four tentacle ports/bases [there was some shaving off the edges of the plug to make it close in more snugly but that might not be 100% necessary]. [this photo also features my Movie Bullseye quick custom -- really ought to meet up with someone who can paint him a goatee and a Cletus Kassidy quick custom, with the w24 Eddie Brock head that seems to suit Cletus more.]
  8. I was about to recommend the same thing Cappy did. I've "repaired" one or two wonky mates that way. I've never had to pull the arm apart as well -- just bend it a full 90 degrees, and file or shear away at the exposed corner.
  9. Not jumping on that boat, NR, not at the moment at least. They've been clear about how existing licenses and whatnot will stay where they are. Come renewal time, well, let's see.
  10. do we have Hand Ninjas yet? those in their various looks would be nifty. comic SHIELD grunts [with a rifle, pistol, two hairpieces and a bowler hat as accessories] would be great too. i'd also buy civilians! reversible male/female head, couple of hairpieces for each, reversible torso block under a jacket...
  11. Thor Frog should come in a 2-pack with Forbush Man. EDIT: Bah, all of you. DOOP!
  12. holy crap, Luke. Those are awesome! Will/Can you be swayed into making more?
  13. I wouldn't mind wave 33 and 34 being more Marvel U-focused as opposed to Spideyverse or X-centric [hey, a pun!] -- while those latter two have lots of characters left to fill them out, those can go to the TRU releases as long we there are no more one-per-case drama issues. We're still short a lot of Hulk characters outside of the Movie wave, for instance. WAVE 33 Mr. Fixit/Dr. Samson Redone Gray Hulk [Powerhouse torso with big shoulders, diaper crotchpiece, duck feet]/Rick Jones "Planet" Hulk/Silver Savage Variant: WWH King Hulk/Silver Savage TRU: "Mr. Negative" Spider-Man/Anti-Venom Young Avengers Box Set: Patriot, Kate Bishop, Stature, Iron Lad WAVE 34 [i'll admit I haven't thought this entirely through ] Hulkling/Wiccan Iron Man 2020/Crimson Dynamo Iron Fist/Hand Ninja Variant: Orson Randall Iron Fist/Hand Ninja TRU: Nightcrawler/Pyro Fantastic Four Box Set: Dark blue/white trim, Heroes Reborn or Movie costumes
  14. Congratulations, luke, couldn'ta happened to a nicer guy!
  15. Sure wouldn't mind a Demogoblin, yeah. With a flaming glider!
  16. Yeah, I'd really love a Hulk set that gave us those four -- as long as they put a King Hulk out somewhere else, in a 2-pack or something.
  17. he really IS more Party Logan than Weapon X. I'm going to have to dig for spare metal-claw hands AND get a Marvel Universe Weapon X for the helmet, although that might not fit... Anybody want to sell off a spare Old Man Logan, though, lemme know. I need that coat.
  18. which then causes the REST of the stuff to go into avalanche mode.
  19. Lobsterman and Nervous are making a lot of sense.
  20. I wouldn't be so quick to call for burning at the stake re: the hunt. It's an unfortunate set of circumstances that works doubly against those of us who don't HAVE Minimates at our TRUs [and who just barely have the damn TRUs in name only, in the first place], but stuff happens, no? Some have already raised the point of having business considerations and retailer profiles addressed first, and that is always going to take precedence over fan convenience when it comes to these things -- nothing against the fans, whom Chuck and Matt seem to be really taken with as a whole [otherwise they wouldn't bother talking to/explaining their end], just stuff that happens when they have to make the difficult decisions. The given reason to prioritize the other characters as far as in-case allotment goes seems to make enough sense to me. Ultimately, if you remove the "fandom/gotta collect everybody/I know who these are goggles", it's just Bullseye and Moonstone against a case full of bigger names for the brand [some even flagship]. The problem with them being released in the same numbers as a comic store variant, though, is that there are way more TRUs to divide that total number by. And their distribution/stocking is way different and far more unpredictable than a comic store's. But it must be noted that these are the things that come with the territory -- if we want want our mates released to the public in a mainstream toy store, we'll have to deal with having to hunt.
  21. I can see the similarity with Nightwing but it is Warpath in I think his X-force outfit. Marvel Warpath That's so turning into a Red Hood Jason Todd head once it hits here. [Well, an extra one will be. I'm keeping a Warpath as is to hand with Thunderbird.]
  22. does the Wolverine Through The Ages Weapon X have the tech helmet?
