  1. Happy birthday guys, hope you have a minimatastic day!! Jeff of the Miniacs
  2. As a huge Green Arrow fan I was pumped for the attention to the character. That being said I dont fit the stereotype of fans as I know movies/tv shows are going to change things up and such. I have been watching since the start and I really enjoy this show....much more than I did Smallville. Jeff of the Miniacs
  3. whats this "Maleficent" you speak of? Jeff of the Miniacs
  4. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! that was priceless!! Jeff of the Miniacs

  8. i would love to go there and see these but my anitvirus keeps blocking it... Jeff of the Miniacs
  9. Yes sir you did! and here as promised are some pics! as you can see the mates are not quite a perfect fit but it will do until we get an official Minimates version! Jeff of the Miniacs
  10. Those Kubs ain't cheap anymore. I was checking eBay and elsewhere and it seems like the cheapest ones are around $100. There was a time that ToyNK had them for $20! I bought two sets, sold one apart from the Alien warriors, and now regret it Have to say that I dont regret that choice of yours, nope not one bit! pics coming soon! Jeff of the Miniacs
  11. part of why people will buy the books without the stories lining up is because they like the character and what to read the stories with said character and DON'T CARE if the stories line up at all. I am not trying to harsh on those fans on continuity and having the comic universes line up perfectly but much like people who gripe about movies being unrealistic people are all too happy to accept fantastic characters with amazing abilities/powers yet all the ducks across multiple books must match up otherwise its crap? I don't buy it and have left/stopped reading comic sites/message boards because of narrow mindedness like this. Not a personal knock against anyone, to each their own, just my 2 cents...or since we have dropped the penny I guess it makes this my nickels worth lol Jeff of the Miniacs
  12. Fizz that is one killer playset, love what you have done there! Jeff of the Miniacs
  13. at my forthcoming 10th anniversary of Marvel Minimates museum show I am hoping to have a complete to current(as of Octoberish) display of Marvel minimates...just need a couple of things a foolishly sold a few years ago...I have a few prototypes and test shots not so much in the package variants though Jeff of the Miniacs
  14. If you're referring to the Chris Pine flavored Kirk, then no. The new films are under a different license. Maybe someday. Sulu was captain of the Excelsior. Spock made it to captain's rank. Not sure about Scotty. I think Worf only made it to Commander. Riker definitely made it to captain. thanks to netflix we have introduced the kids to TNG and have been re watching it nicely...and yes Scotty does make it to captain! Jeff of the Miniacs
  15. This weekend, Toy Fair International begins at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. Not open to the public, the event allows toy manufacturers to present their new offerings to buyers from retail stores around the world, and it always offers fans the first look at the hottest toys of the year. Well, this year Diamond Select Toys will once again be in attendance, and once again they will have plenty on display to dazzle fans! On display at booth 4905 will be new items from DST's broad array of licenses: Marvel Comics, Marvel Studios, The Walking Dead, Star Wars, Star Trek, Universal Monsters, The Munsters, Knight Rider, Ghostbusters, Pathfinder, Tomb Raider and Invincible. Products will include highly detailed 7-inch action figures, 2-inch Minimates mini-figures, Femme Fatales PVC statues, Granix art plaques, vehicles, light-up statues, banks, prop replicas, bottle openers, kitchenware, neon signs and more. DST will also announce two new licenses at the show: Lost in Space: The classic 1960s TV show, which updated "The Swiss Family Robinson" for the space age, will receive Minimates and an electronic replica of the B-9 robot. Aliens: The 1986 science-fiction classic that drove the Alien franchise to new heights will receive Minimates and Minimate vehicles, as well as electronic vehicles of the Colonial Marines' military transports. More new licenses will be revealed throughout the year, so keep your ears open for more news from DST! straight from my email from Zach! Jeff of the Miniacs
  16. Count me as super excited too man...especially since when I first thought up the idea of getting minimate artwork on these comic covers I had no idea if I was going to be able to find anyone interested in doing it for me. This will be my second trip with minimates to the museum for a showcase and I think it will be even bigger than the first. I know I will have more wall space but will have to see what kind of display case options I will be able to have too. I just want to toss out a huge thanks to everyone who has already stepped into the game plan with this, I can't wait to see the works as they are returned! and yea all this artwork on the gallery walls is going to rock! Jeff of the Miniacs
  17. I have been getting some good responses to this little project and a couple really cool artists have stepped up to this which will add some punch to the roster of artwork. I am just waiting to hear back from a couple of people and the first batch of comics will go out so the artists can get started on them! Jeff of the Miniacs

  20. Excelsior! Celebrating Marvel Minimates 10th Anniversary! Coming to the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery in November and December of 2013, this showcase will take visitors through a visual tour of the 10 years of Marvel Minimates. Including the Minimates themselves as well as artwork, advertising examples, some design artwork and even some prototypes this display will be a great tour through the history of these great toys! Also included in this display will be a variety of Marvel comic books which were released with blank white covers to encourage fans to get them sketched at conventions or to add their own artwork to them. These comics will feature Minimate artwork from a variety of artists both professional and amateur. If you would like to be an artist in this show and havent already contacted me please do so!
  21. Ok if I havent touched base with you about this project please get a hold of me and we can get things sorted out. Also if you know any other artistically minded folks that may be interested in doing some Minimate styled artwork let them know as well, the more the merrier. I am working on a possible venue to have these showcased as part of a Marvel Minimates 10th anniversary display but will let you al know more as details get worked out. Jeff of the Miniacs
  22. Any of our artistic members want to contribute to this fun project?? http://portraitofanaddiction.blogspot.ca/2013/01/day-543.html Jeff of the Miniacs
