Cereal mates are not the returning license. Zach wasn’t sure, but hopeful, that Minimates would be included with the return of said license. Ebony Maw and Panther were the two TRU exclusives. Cap and Hulkbuster sets were shared. John Wick should see Minimates. Sonic is likely a 2019 release. Marvel 26, KH, Aliens, and IF2 are all produced and are looking for homes. They are shopping them to major retailers first, because of the quantity made.

They are tempting, but I cannot seem to figure out how many you get with your purchase. If you get all 4 base plates and the connectors for $25, that is a good deal; if you are only getting some if that, then maybe it isn’t.

I will look. I know my TRU had them a few months ago. I can’t say I have seen them recently, but I also haven’t been looking.

Living in Wisconsin, I cannot stand how much it costs now to buy from BBTS with Shipping and Taxes. Luke is almost always cheaper for Minimates, and I like to support ‘the little guy.’ I try to preorder from Luke, but I cannot always justify paying up front. Some times I wait until closer to release, or when I feel like I can afford a big order.

As I said in other threads, I consider many of the employees at my local TRU better friends than many of those with whom I work at me job. I know more about their personal lives than many of my coworkers. While I know some of them have good chances at other establishments, there are some of the employees that I know are really going to struggle to make ends meet. TRU has been their home for years (over a decade in some cases) and their quirks may not lend themselves to ‘new’ employment. While I like to shop and look for new stuff, the main reason I would visit weekly was to see my friends and I am gutted that this will be over.

I am confused by what they mean ‘sold’ in all these comments. Like individual TRU locations will be sold to become independent toy stores with all the inventory? Another company will buy 400 locations, change the name, and keep on keeping on?
