  1. That looks like it's from one of the old 3" Minimates. Weird.
  2. Love the paint job on Nightman! Well done!
  3. Two weeks?! Don't we usually go into September? I haven't even started yet!!
  4. Your work is breathtaking. I always look forward to your updates.
  5. I'll be participating this year as well!
  6. There are some seriously talented mofos around here! Amazing work everyone!
  7. Truly amazing. Can't wait to see the finished model! Are you planning on painting it?
  8. Excellent work all around but man, that Heroes of the 80's set blew me away!
  9. That would be like saying "We're making dog minimates! Are cats acceptable?" I think it comes down to interpretation of the theme. We had a few customizers that made monster hunters instead of actual monsters for our first project. So for the 'Superhero' theme people could make superheroes gone bad like The Plutonian from Irredeemable or anti-heroes like Wolverine or Batman. Everyone seems to be on board for the Superheroes theme so why don't we stick to that and start brainstorming charity ideas? And for those that are new, the easiest thing for us to do since we sell the customs on eBay is to support a charity that is listed on eBay's Giving Works site. http://givingworks.ebay.com/ Along those lines, I'd like to suggest the Wish Upon a Hero Foundation: http://givingworks.ebay.com/charity-auctions/charity/wish-upon-a-hero-foundation/32639/
  10. Rorschach is truly a beautiful Minimate! Watchmen Minimates seem like a no-brainer to me.
  11. Along the lines of what jcastick and Punisher have suggested what about a historical figure/forgotten superhero mash-up? You could have characters like Albert Einstein as Atomic-Man and Rosa Parks as The Equalizer! This would also allow the more ambitious customizers to make two customs: one in costume and one in civilian clothing. We can call it: Charitymates 7: Historical Heroes ...or even 'The Past Is Super!"
  12. I might be wrong but we've never donated to the same charity twice to the best of my knowledge. *EDIT* Just had a look through the old projects and here's a list of the charities we've supported in the past: America's Blood Centers, World Wildlife Fund, Books For Kids, Convoy of Hope, Direct Relief International, American Red Cross
  13. Amazing job, MINI-MYTE! This is the only award show I look forward to each year.
  14. Wow. Don't post much anymore but this is really exciting news! I hope this line has legs because there are so many characters from the Invincible Universe that deserve the Minimate treatment!
  15. An Invincible line would get me collecting again. You hear that, Kirkman! You're guaranteed AT LEAST $4.00 profit from what I plan to buy - say no to that!
  16. Late to the party here but just wanted to echo what has been said already - excellent resourcefulness GH! Thanks for the helping the cause!
  17. Congrats to all the winners and the customizers! We may not have raised as much as in years past but the whole idea behind the project is simply to help as much as we can and we've done that. Now let's put this puppy to bed until April 2013.
  18. Man, I love seeing the Charitymates group shot! Awesome job this year everyone (you too GH) - can you guys believe we've done this six years in a row now? Awesome. Anyway, I've placed my first bid and I hope to get in a few more!
  19. Thanks for the update GH! Sorry to hear that this past month was so awful but hopefully things can only get better from here! And speaking of the hurricane - do we want to amend the charity that we're supporting? Giving money to the Red Cross or another more specific disaster relief fund might be a good idea.
  20. Hey GH, just wondering if the auctions will go live soon? I know you've been swamped as of late but we're moving into November soon and we should probably wrap this up before Xmas.
  21. Just echoing what others have said - rest up! Your health comes first!
  22. The organization of your collection really speaks to my OCD! Nicely done! And I would have loved to have seen all 63 Red 'n' Black Gators lined up.
