  1. I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere, but I just wanted some info about the C3 Joker that came with the Chemical Warehouse. I came across these in one of my bags and saw that there are two heads for this figure. One with the hole and one without. Was this common for all the C3 mates? I don't recall a difference in my other C3 figures. If you can shed some light on this, I'd appreciate it.
  2. BHM ALLEGEDLY stores his minimates in Pennsylvania!
  3. On one hand, yeah, let it go. On the other... this wacko needs to be taught how ebay works. She has no idea about the general rules and "etiquette" of buying online. She obviously doesn't read auction descriptions before bidding and she probably can't read very well based on her comments, grammar and spelling! Sellers have a section to put in the auction how long it could take to ship from the time payment clears. I use 4 days and usually ship things out before that time is up. She's not even giving these sellers a chance and ruining feedback scores by being an idiot. Thanks for the heads up about her. She's blocked for me too.
  4. Congrats on the addition of your mini-est mate!
  5. You can get display cases like that at The Container Store. They aren't everywhere and I've never ordered from them online. I usually make a trip there when I go down to visit northern Virginia. The cases are really nice and the prices aren't bad at all!
  6. Nice pics for sure. But this guy just doesn't do it for me as a minimate. It seems that they are getting too cluttered up with armor and different heads and accessories. This thing hardly looks like a minimate!! I like the simplicity of the earlier mates. A perfect example is the new Klaw / Storm two pack. I know I'm getting off topic, but the battle beast is a definite pass for me, but like I said, cool pics!
  7. Thanks for all the positive responses guys. Everyone has had some great suggestions too and we'll see what we can come up with. However, my artistic talents are limited and to be honest, splattering paint isn't that hard!! Props to Minijeff for the awesome logo. I have some more to do in the Jackson Series and we have some other ideas. We'll only be making a limited number of these as long as there is interest. Stay tuned.
  8. Minijeff and I have been playing with an idea. More details to come. Here is a little preview
  9. Some more differences between the original Clear Slimer release and the new refreshed version is the clear head on the new one with no hole and the original version has a green head with a hole in the top. The face tampo on the old version is definitely larger. Also, the chest piece on the new version is a darker green.
  10. I used a dremel to create a minimate head sized space in the head of Annihilus and voila... let the fun begin.
  11. Take the "power crotch" piece off Well I'll be dipped in gold paint, will you look at that? I hadn't done that yet. Duh... Thanks! Edited post and pics above.
  12. Some comparison shots of the original Secret Wars Dr. Doom figure and the new minimate from the box set. They did an amazing job with the paint apps to make it identical to the original. If only they would have sculpted his leg apparatus, holster, thing in green. I guess I'll have to paint it to match.
  13. I see the WO movie wave all the time. In fact, I opened a case last night and there were only 8 packs in it including the Gambit and Deadpool packs. Strangeness...
  14. Yeah, the holes on Thanos's feet are definitely smaller than normal. I wonder if they were trying to mold the holes within the confines of the lip around the bottom of the boot, maybe? An easy fix with a dremel and a steady hand. This is a great set with some iconic Marvel characters that are a little out of the mainstream, which I love. I'm glad they did this set, they look great!
  15. That sounds about right for Diamond...
  16. I'd like to "pump out some product with her."
  17. I have the Premium Format Kirby styled Hulk statue from Sideshow. His purple pants are cloth! It's an amazing piece of art. I drove from south of Philly up to Jersey to pick it up and save on the shipping. The box is huuuuuuge!!! The sculpting on that Kirby Hulk is spot-on. It looks like he stepped straight from the comics. It's probably my favorite statue and well worth the price tag. I was thinking about getting the Galactus, but I wanted the exclusive and it sold out. The regular version is available, I'm just not sure I have the room for it at this point. I have probably 100+ Bowen statues and busts at this point and I'll be selling most of the busts very soon.
  18. NO!! Jeff, don't do it!! That KISS set is terrible. Cheaply made, poorly painted and terribly sculpted. DO NOT waste your money. I'd rather see you spend the money on a KISS Smiti set.
  19. I saw the two sets at TRU this weekend and I have to say, I wasn't impressed. For me, the characters just don't translate well into the Kubrick style. I like Kubricks too, I'm not just hating. I was looking forward to seeing these and I will most likely buy the WTWTA Kubricks. But at $20 for 3 lackluster figures (and $40 if you want the whole set), that's a little too much.
  20. There are some cool NBX displays at 5 Below. They fit nicely with minimates.
  21. I've ordered from them twice on ebay now and both times were fine. Very fast shipping, considering where they are coming from too. They combine shipping as well. I won a bunch of mates the last time and the shipping was reasonable. They seem to have an endless supply of LOTR stuff. Read the descriptions carefully. Many of their mates are incomplete, as has already been discussed. Weapons and other accessories may not be included. But for the price I paid per mate, it was fine.
  22. She's cool looking, but kind of sad. I'm not sure what's wrong with her. Looks like they made 1000. I can't remember if we already knew that and I'm too lazy to go check through the thread.
  23. Go to Borders Books. Find the section for stationary and paper stuff. On a clearance table, if they have any left, are these awesome pull back robots. The cool thing about them is the great little display case they come in. They are stackable and fit two 3" minimates perfectly. Go buy now... I almost forgot the price... $1.00, that's right, I said one, measly, dollar.
  24. This is a good place to start... http://www.myspace.com/brandnew
  25. If you don't listen to Brand New, you should. If anyone here is going to see them in November at the Electric Factory in Philly and has an extra ticket for either/both nights, I will gladly buy a ticket from you. I'm going to the show in Baltimore at Sonar, but I want to see them in Philly too, at least one of the nights. Their new cd is out September 22. Check them out!
