  1. Thanks! No plans to visit the Invincible Universe anytime soon, unless I am commissioned by someone. I am primarily a Marvel guy, and all the DC mates I have produced have been commissions. I do have a couple of sets other than Marvel that always seem to be at the back of my mind, but I never seem to get chance to commit to them fully. I was actually planning on some 80's cartoon minimates for myself but I'm unsure as to when I will get round to them. I had put together the parts for some Dungeons and Dragons minimates but then Hiroyuki posted a great set on the multiverse and since then they have kind of taken a back seat.
  2. Shame that we may not get any more TTA box sets. Despite this, here's a set of Dazzler TTA that I was recently commissioned to complete. There were plenty of outfits to choose from but here's Xtreme X-Men, Disco, Age of Apocalypse, Age of X and Excalibur versions.
  3. Thanks! I am trying to sculpt hair more often now as I get more confident with sculpting. Plus I am going to run out of spare hairpieces eventually. I have recently finished a couple of commission batches. Here is my Dazzler Through the Ages set consisting of Xtreme X-Men, Age of Apocalypse, Age of X, Disco and Excalibur. Here are a few other commissions. New 52 Superman: Marcus Milton Hyperion: New 52 Darkseid: Thanks for looking!
  4. Thanks! @Liney: I use an inkjet printer. I got a new printer recently and I am really happy with the quality of the prints it is producing. I have also shopped around a bit for decal paper and have found a seller on ebay whose paper I work best with. I can give you details if you like. @arnim zola: The forearms on Lady Britain were sculpted with milliput for the sleeve effect.
  5. Thanks! Yeah, I am surprised we don't have Bobbi in any form yet. Maybe now her profile has been raised a little from Agents of Shield we may get her. Here is my latest set of cartoon commissions. I think this cartoon was made by two guys who used to work for Hannah Barbera. Fangface was made from a Thundercats Slithe body with a lot of sculpt. The head is sculpted and the Lego cap was supplied. I cut off Slithe's tail, covered it in sculplt and rotated it before reattaching. The feet are from Lockjaw and the hands are modified from DC Salaak. The eyes are decals. Biff and Kim are standard minimate bodies, Kim has a Nurse Chapel hairpiece. Puggsy uses slipper feet and a Hulk chest. His hat was supplied and I modified a SF Ken hairpiece and glued it to the hat. I also made Psylocke in her Lady Britain costume. I was going to go with the red, white and blue wig but decided instead to go with her look from Remender's Uncanny X-Force Otherworld arc. Decals with a little sculpt on boots and sleeves. Hair is sculpted.
  6. New batch look great. I especially like the Huntress, really clever construction of the crossbow.
  7. Nice! I just revisited my Vulcan custom this last week actually to update him. I have used yellow but now looking at yours I think I prefer the gold.
  8. Thanks guys! Here's a custom I've had on the bench for a long while, Mockingbird in her modern costume. Hair is modified Pepper Potts and her glasses are cut from a Jack Bauer mate, with sculpt added.
  9. Really nice work! Huge improvement to Ripley, great work on the hair sculpt.
  10. Giant-Sized X-Men 6 pack, found in a random shop on a trip to London. Because it was a 6-pack, it started off my habit pretty rapidly. I think within a couple of weeks I had tracked down the Xavier/Magneto set and Civilian Logan/Juggernaut.
  11. Love the new decals. I will be trying out the new She-Hulk, I think I have a spare MvC Shulkie somewhere.
  12. Back to you hellpop. Belle and Sebastian were almost on my list, but If You're Feeling Sinister is my pick.
  13. Really tough to choose just 5 and it changes regularly, but here goes: Tori Amos: Boys For Pele. The first Tori album I saw her tour. It's a complicated listen but her arrangements are incredible here. The Shins: Chutes Too Narrow. This is the ultimate pop album for me. I love the way the songs rarely follow a typical pop-song structure. Aimee Mann: Lost In Space. Aimee is probably my favourite-ever lyricist. All her albums are stand-outs but this one is particularly special to me. Interpol: Antics. Another incredible live act. Love listening to this through headphones, loudly. Moloko: Things To Make And Do. For dancing!. This has taken me ages and I already want to swap some out.
  14. Thanks! Crystal's hair was sculpted onto a Wave 21 Pepper Potts. I think her head is a ASM Gwen Stacy. I used a Yellowjacket mate as the base for her body and applied a clear decal onto her chest. Citadel paint Flash Gitz yellow was a good paint match.
  15. Great idea for a QC Maddie Pryor. And I really like that Silver Fox, I may have to borrow that idea!
  16. Thanks! Yes, I have a lot of trouble making face decals so when possible I try to just work with what I already have, Clear decals over faces usually work out for me but it can be difficult to match colours if I am using a clear decal on the face and a white decal on the chest block.
  17. Hope you all had a good holiday season. I have been working through some commissions that I will be able to share soon, but in the meantime I have also been updating some of my earliest customs and finishing off some I have been working on for a while. I was never that happy with my Crystal custom, I remember making her in a couple of hours and not really spending a great deal of time on her. I imagine Inhumans mates can't be too far off, but until then here is my updated attempt. Her hair is sculpted, she has modified 90's Rogue boots and accessories from Torch and Havok. Titania takes some inspiration from Liney's awesome decal. Sculpted spikes and Cheetah hair. I think she has a Sarah Connor head with a clear decal laid over it for the mask. Diamondback has a Jewel head with a clear decal for the mask, sculpted hair and Longshot hand. I have also updated my Hellions team with gloves, sculpted boots, some new heads/decals and some accessories. I added a bulked-up Beef to complete the team.
  18. Great idea for a topic. I have been thinking a lot about what initially got me into comics lately. My Dad was always a DC fan and I used to pick up his Batman and Superman anthologies when I was around 5 years old to look through. I had the Beano and the Dandy delivered to my house when I was younger too, but the first Marvel comic I picked up was this; which was just on the shelf at my local newsagents. I think I was about 6 or 7 and it is still one of my favourite events. I then collected the remainder of the Secret Wars event and would get my Dad to draw superhero posters for me to stick to my bedroom door.
  19. He-Man mates are one of my biggest wants, although I doubt my wallet would thank me. Ram man looks awesome, looking forward to seeing more.
  20. He looks great. Really inventive use of parts and the magnets work really well. Good stuff!
  21. Thanks for the comments! @CabeNathan: Would love to see how you approached AoA Forge. I was struggling with which parts to use for him for a long while. @Liney: Thanks! Sometimes my decals go on first time and I am happy with them. Others (Mera and Poison Ivy for example) can take 3/4/5 attempts for me to be satisfied. I'm going to order a case of Wave 60 and try out the vinyl stickers that Luke uses, I am still using waterslide decals and haven't made the switch to vinyl. I am kind of putting it off in case I really like the sticker paper and then feel like I should replace all my waterslide decals. I think having a mixture of some customs with vinyls and others with waterslide would bother me, but maybe that's just me. Anyway, here's some more Age of X customs! Small fan base I know, but I am a big fan of this storyline and the costumes. Namor: Storm: Berserker (Warpath): Tempo: Husk: Cannonball: Nightmare (Pixie):
  22. I have never seen that Juggernaut costume before, nice work! Hope to see a group shot of your AoA customs.
  23. Nice work on Tigra. I would love to get an official version at some point. West Coast Avengers box set for the win!

    Wave 60

Here you go. I have put the hair on my Frenzy custom but you get the idea. I usually use the hair for my Tag custom but I can't remember if I painted the ears or not. I think this is the Hooded Michonne head. I'd like to request an animated Morph face decal too, if possible. Edit: Yeah, I painted the ears to match the Sunspot head I use for Tag.
