There is a bit of that, but at the same time I already have an OML and the Spider-Girl does nothing for me personally. It's one of those things of I'm totally fine with buying another Cyclops, or Wolverine, or whoever to get a brand new character but this one might be a pass for me solely because of it's paired with a figure I have little interest in. That said the more I look at this wave I may pick up the Surtur and Cap packs just because they are really, really cool looking figures... X-men bias or not.

That got me too. The characters themselvesso nothing for me as I almost exclusively collect the x-men stuff but these all look great! The colors pop and will look great on a shelf.

What needs to happen at some point is a Male/Female groups wave... Hellions costume in male and female, Shiar male and female, Acolyte male and female. Throw in Gladiator and Lilandra or Juggernaut and Black Tom. I'd buy 4-5 packs of each just for the customs to be made from them.

So we are looking at this for 74? Old man Logan / Ashley Barton Spidey Red King / Hulk (planet or gladiator) Surtur / some variation of Thor Hydra Cap / Ironheart

This is my plan for one of the 2 sets i get. Right now planning to get two maybe 3. One Jean mask for a Firestar custom and another for a Spitfire custom. One Jean body goes to a Petra custom. If I end up with an extra Xavier body can use it for a Bolivar Trask body. Toad is the one I'm not sure what to do with the spare parts... Maybe the chest and collar for a Stonewall?

Think you are on to something there since it's a new villain and technically a spider verser that hasn't been made. That would leave use the X-men/Avenger pack which is a short list of possible mutants... Cyclops, Emma, Beast, Rogue, Wolverine, Havok, Sunspot, Canonball, and Storm? Rogue and Ms Marvel? Havok and Vulcan/Deathbird? Cyclops and Doom? Those would all fit the "great stories" clue I guess.

Tenime, do you have a better pic of that Maggot? Would love to see that and get the recipe for it! Looks great.

Well I'm no good at this guessing game either it seems Miry. I'm getting stuck in the X-men and Spidey pairing... Zach can you confirm that is indeed how that two pack is set up? Drawing a total blank on what that one could be if it isn't Peter Parker. Well the other though I had was that we have all the packs set up wrong and it isn't Planet Hill and Secret Empire we should be thinking about.

Wow! This box set is an insta-buy for me! So many great updates and new mates in this one.

My guesses based off what we know now that I have some time to think: Unworthy Thor / Surtur Gladiator Hulk / Red King Kate Bishop / Hydra Cap Uncanny Avengers Rogue / AU Spider-Man (no clue on this one...)

I really think one of those is in 74. Rogue seems to be one of them and I'm thinking Late Bishop is the Legacy Avenger as she got guessed much earlier in this thread I think.

Yeah Prodigy was powered for about 20 issues all of which took place with him at the school. Dat's Bendis though.

It may be close to that though. M:UA3 has been rumored to be in development for years now and this looks close to what those games were. There was also the canceled Avengers game from 2012 that was more of an action'y version of the UA games.

If it isn't Assassin's Creed or Mortal Kombat but is an evergreen franchise... I keep coming back to Mega Man. Hasn't had a game in awhile, no games planned but could be huge with all the robot masters and side characters. Plus DST has an in with Capcom with the MvC mates.

Everything to this point has been based on the current animated stuff. I thought that was the plan moving forward with the Walgreens stuff but I can't find anything from Zach confirming that.

It would be tough... Take a very steady hand and a lot of patience. I painted an extra Thing for a Rockslide custom and the paint was pretty tough to get into the cracks well. You'd need a really fine detail brush and you'd want a way to prevent black getting onto the top of the rocks. Yeah a marker might work like PL said.

This wave holds no interest to me and I've been able to find at least one full wave at the store near... Hopefully I can get a full wave for somebody here.

There's pictures of three of the sets in trays on page 2 in this thread. For the others... can't help you there as I skipped this wave. There aren't many accessories that came with this wave from what I've heard. Strange has his disc hands and a couple of mates have hoods and that's about it.

Those .5 waves thrown in do make it confusing. Wave 2.5 was Spider-Knight, paired with Man Thing.

Ordered them and they arrived... Was the old assortment, instead of what was pictured above and on the website. Luke, did you ever get any of these?

Are tese being carried at TRU or only specialty? I can venture out to a couple of TRUs to look for Silks (have no interest in one for me) but the comic shop in Rochester doesn't carry mates that I've ever seen.

Are these available now? I have a use for almost everything in this assortment. Asteroid base for my Petra custom, Blue energy for Surge, and finally a yellow fire flame swirl that should be much closer to the yellow used on Magma from the new mutants. The orange and red swirls just never looked right.

DST has been killing it with the X-men waves lately! Strike team outifts, Giant Size redo, and now these. So Good! The battle damaged Wolverine shirt looks way better than the initial promo shot. Was worried it'd be bulky and look strange... but that's perfect!

I'm what we get is more along the lines of what we get for the Fox movies (X-men films mainly.) The last couple we've gotten a comic release to coincide with the release of the movie in theatres or DVD. Days of Future Past got it's own wave but since then Apocalypse released a month after Wave 60 hit shelves. Deadpool hit shelves a month before the films February release. Giant Size wave hit the same month as Apocalypse DVD release. Wave 72 is looking like a possible release with the Logan movie. I'm hoping for something like that with this show. An all Inhumans comic wave to line up with the premiere. I don't think DST can make mates of the Fox movies anymore and I wonder if the reason we haven't gotten AoS mates is something similar... Like DST doesn't have the license for ABC shows or something?
