Universal Monsters Minimates

Thanks for compliments/suggestions! I could see the Leader's head as a possibility, since it is elongated and has a similar hairline. However, I actually just finished up my Phantom using a modified Ghostbusters Janosz head. He already had the surprised look I was going for, when his mask was removed by Christine:

Also, I cheated a bit in my custom. Rather than use the 1925 mask, I used the 1943 version, simply because I felt it was more iconic for the Phantom.

1925 vs 1943:

Okay, here is the custom. He can either wear a mask, or show off his hideous monster face. To get the best of both, I created a minimate mannequin (I suppose the Phantom stole it from the Opera House dressing room), which displays the mask and cape, and allows the deformed face to be shown:

And here is a group shot, they are waiting for Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, The Bride, and (fingers crossed) The Mummy.

Thanks for looking! Any comments/criticism is appreciated!

Brilliant. I've Always liked the original look. I think because of the ingenuity used back then to create things.

Thanks! I appreciate the original deformed look as well. It took so much time, effort, and innovation for Lon Chaney (The Phantom) to create his make-up, whereas now it could be done easily, especially with digital effects.

Sweet looking Phantom Joe. What did you use for his hair and where'd you score that scaled candelabra?

Thanks! The hair a general hairpiece (I believe Tony Stark), I just removed the top. I then just used sculpy to create his thinning hairline.

The candelabra is from the Buffy Palz line, from either Darla or The Master. I customized the entire cast of Buffy and Angel from Palz figures, so I had some extra candelabras laying around.

UPDATE: August 9th, 2011

I impulsively made an Igor to go with the Frankenstein set. He is mostly based off Igor from Young Frankenstein, since that is my favorite look of the character:

Thanks!

The hunchback was created from a Terror Dog chest piece but flipped around so the rounded chest was on the back, I then sanded down the Terror Dog spine and removed the shoulders. I also added sculpted pieces as rags hanging off the back, as seen in this photo:

I also sculpted the brain and made the "Abnormal" display, I felt it was a fitting accessory.

Here is the face decal if anyone is interested, feel free to use it:
