youbastards
Nice! Sharon Carter and Maria Hill look great! Thanks guys! Here's a QC modern 616 Black Widow: Basically just the Champions Box Set Black Widow with the IM2 TRU Exclusive's Hair and half-glove hands. I added the holster/ammo pouch from a War Zone box set Punisher. Edited April 24, 2010 by youbastards
TENIME_art
Ha! Very cool! I put the movie head/hair, silver stingers & grey holster on my "classic" Widow!

Same awesome QC's there youbastard! Thanks! Tenime, I'll have to try that out. So I've been thinking of trying a custom poseable 8-10" Maximate. I know Luke has played with resins for his bases, but I'm thinking of trying plastic molds. Has anyone here tried it already? Does anyone have advice/suggestions? Should I just 'throw in the towel'? Would DST have a problem with me trying something like that? If I can get the molds down for each part, I think I might be able to make multiple parts from a mold. Is that even something anyone would be interested in here? Any feedback would be appreciated. Edited April 28, 2010 by youbastards
NorthRaider
I know someone CloneMe made his own articulated wooden Maximate a while back. I guess in theory making an articulated Maximate might be possible, though I imagine the process may involve any or all of the following: -molding and casting regular Minimate parts -scaling up their dimensions -some minor tweaking of the end result with a chisel -substituting the scaled-up knee peg with something of a stronger material (a metal screw?) It's a shame we haven't heard much from CloneMe's project though.
youbastards
Thanks NorthRaider, I completely missed that thread when I was searching the board. I've sent Cloneme a PM to see if this is something he wants to continue, maybe we can work on it together. youbastards
I'm working on a set of classic New Warriors 'mates. Here's Nova! Edited May 6, 2010 by youbastards
youbastards
Here's my updated Classic Nova, I wasn't too happy with the gold so I repainted him yellow. Luke's decal sheets should be coming soon, so I need to try and fix/replace my printer to make Nova's chest decal. Here he's accompanying my Marvel Boy that I made too. \ Here's my work in progress Night Thrasher...but I need help for head/helmet suggestions....PLEASE HELP!!! Last but not least, I picked up a 3 3/4 Spider-Man "Air Assault Hobgoblin" today, because I thought the glider might work. What do you think? boyd
I like how you switched the gold to yellow on Nova - really makes him feel more comic-book-like. Helmet for Night Thrasher - That's a good one. Maybe a decal applied to a slip-on mask?
youbastards
Thanks Boyd!!! I thought the decal directly on the head wouldn't look right for NT's mask, but a decal on a slip on mask, that may be perfect! boyd
If you're feeling daring, you could cut a hole in the slip-on mask to allow his eyes to show through. It would give the mask a great feeling of depth, but you'd have to know exactly where to cut.
TENIME_art
Dang! They all look great, especially Night Thrasher!! (Oh, and I totally made a Maria Hill using an extra Movie Widow body, thanks for the inspiration!)

(Oh, and I totally made a Maria Hill using an extra Movie Widow body, thanks for the inspiration!) Thanks man, I've really been looking forward to getting a classic New Warriors set put together for a while. Night Thrasher's helmet and Speedball are my hurdles at the moment. Namorita is mostly done, and I want to update Firestar a bit.

Aapje
For N.T. use a iron man helmet, cut the eyes out and sculpt the visors a little bit That was how i was making it, until school and work sucked up my spare time

youbastards
Thanks for the comments! Thanks to lastmaximal, I think I found a solution for Night Thrasher's helmet (Street Justice Batman). [Night Thrasher was a rip-off of Batman, but Batman ripped off Night Thrasher's mask...huh.] Just need to find the time to work on it now.
