Venom
So I bought the Dark Avengers 4 pack, tried to remove Spidey-Venom's mask and the head just kind of... popped off. This has been one of my biggest minimate gripes for a while as a bunch of them come with removable masks that are not so removable. Is there a trick to getting the masks off without damaging the heads or am I SOL? (Pre-sorry for wrong forum/dupe thread)
karamazov80
Stick 'em in the freezer!
HRGMann
I have in some cases put the masked head on another torso that had a bigger ball joint (at least it felt snugger than the other), and was able to pull the mask off.
Venom
I tried it on a dupe and the mask doesn't come off of that one either. Seems like it's meant to stay on :\ Thanks for the tips though.

That's what i usually do about tight masks
karamazov80
Seriously, put it in the freezer for 10 minutes. 9/10 times, they come right off after that.
Captain Minimate
Yeah, the freezer thing works every time. BHM (I think) has a welding torch and wallet method, right?
Bob Harris
There is also a very dangerous method containing spinach, but for me the freezer method worked everytime. (Sometimes it takes a little longer, but usually it works pretty fast.)
Venom
Just tried the freezer thing for the hell of it and it worked! Many thanks, karamazov!
Dio
Sometimes I wiggle the head as I pull them off.
Cramer
Man, I wish I knew about the freezer thing long ago. Up until about a month ago one of my Iron Mans from the Through the Ages had his mask stuck on for over a year. I would try for five minutes every few weeks or so to no avail. Then, out of nowhere my wiggles and slow turn-pulls worked. THEN, I remembered why I had put the mask on, he was ugly under there! Freezer. Who knew. buttheadsmate
Cylon heads used to be the worst I had come across although I've not tried lately.

buttheadsmate
I am a certain inside man. Worrying initial comment That's all I can say, but the guys around here know where I am your webcam currently shows you in the lavatory and I think most will vouch for me as a good guy. Never heard of you! The buttheadsmate 'blow torch & wallet' method of removing a mask may well have to be Copyrighted & as 'Crayfish Trade mark' is now re-established 'we' would now like to be officially known as 'Buttheadsmate International Inc.' Thankyou! Edit: 'TBT Co.' has just informed me via a PM that the 'Karamazov80 Trading Corporation' is in liquidation whilst 'Super Spidey Pig' is now Limited.................... no change there then I guess 'Rad Pat Pending' may well be in touch soon. MinimateEspo25
BHM its either too early for me, or I'm not smart enough to figure it out (probably the latter) but thanks for the rib, I don't think I've ever been the subject of one of your stingers... now am I officially a MMMVer (even though I've been here 2 years-ish)
