Rheul
I really struggled with the nose detail on Deathlok. I'm not happy with his skin tone so I'll add a nose when I reprint the head. Hopefully I'll have time soon to finish everything up. It's hard to find time chasing a nine month old around all day long! I'll definitely look at those templates. I was thinking of cutting out the patterns for the twins from the sticker paper scraps.
boyd
Great job on your Alpha Flight members. Puck looks great, and I love the sculpted details on Sasquatch. And I really like your Deathlok. Though I agree with youbastards - he should have some kind of nose or nostril cavity.
Rheul
Deathlok. Again not 100% I need to sculpt the shoulder pads. I may adjust some of his colors too because Im not sure im happy with how it printed out. Here is my updated 100% complete Deathlok. You guys were right, he needed the nose. I also changed his mouth per youbastards suggestion. I also darkened his skin tone, did some touch up painting and added his shoulder pads. I think he looks a ton better. Thanks for all the input. It made all the difference on this one.

Rheul
Northstar and his crazy sister are far from done. I need to paint their wrist and boot cuffs, their shoulders and the starbursts on their hips. You might want to use the full-body Minimate template Luke worked up and draw the boot/glove details. I've used it for a few tough details and I was happy with the results. You can find it here. Thanks for letting me know about that template. It really helped out a lot on these guys. The starburst on the hip is in too odd of an area for a sticker and I dont have the time to give them a proper paint job, so for now im going to leave them as is. Next up is Shaman and Marina hopefully I can get to them soon.

Yeah, the side star thing's a little odd; I think you'd have to redo the chest decal with about half of it, then put the other half on a crotch decal, and even then it probably wouldn't line up right. Maybe with one of those crotch covers? I dunno.
Rheul
Dazzler. I've been meaning to make her for a long time. The 70's version was always my favorite. I saw a chick cosplaying her at NYCC this past summer. I nearly swallowed my gum. Eventually maybe I'll make some skates for her. I banged out Shaman since he didn't require any painting. He was always one of my favorite characters on Alpha Flight. He should have been Sorcerer Supreme rather than Brother Voodoo. Here is a group shot of the team as of now. I guess when I get in the mood to paint I'll do Marina. Eventually I'll need to do Snowbird. She's going to be tough. youbastards
Looks great, I'm really hoping we get official AF mates this year, putting together customs of entire teams is a lot of work.
Rheul
I'm thinking there will be a SDCC (or maybe some other exclusive) box set. It'll have Guardian, Sassy, Puck, and Northstar or Aurora. If we are EXTREMELY lucky well get a follow up with Shaman and the missing twin. This will nullify everything I've done and force me to do Marina and Snowbird. boyd
Definite improvement on Deathlok - nice work. Also like your Shaman, especially the face. And there's definitely not enough Dazzler Minimate love - great job.
Shamrock
Really nice work. What hairpiece is that on Dazzler?
Rheul
Really nice work. What hairpiece is that on Dazzler? I think it's a Phoenix hairpiece from the Secret Invasion set. Thanks for the compliments everyone.
Nessex
Great update on Northstar & 'his crazy sister', but that Dazzler really knocks it outta the park. She looks fantastic!
hellpop
Really nice work. What hairpiece is that on Dazzler? I think it's a Phoenix hairpiece from the Secret Invasion set. Thanks for the compliments everyone. I think you're right. I used the TRU Sue Richards hair for mine, which has even more of a "Farrah hair" quality. BTW, I just realized while pulling him apart for custom fodder that Jak has the perfect pouch for Shaman (though I do like very much what you did). Bob Harris
Very nice Alpha Flight. Especially like Puck and Sasquatch. And I really like your Detahlok. When I read about your intention to adding a nose I thought it wouldn't work for a Minimate, but it really adds that little extra to him. Well done! Rheul
Finally a reason to get Jak! Now if only I can find him. After months of peg warming I think he finally sold out at my TRU. I do think they still have a Sue Richards though. The guys were right about Deathlok. He needs his nose. It's really one of his standout features and he looks odd without it. Rheul
I recently got a second Kree soldier and realized that there was nobody to boss them around. So here he is, Ronan theAccuser. He is a long overdue classic villain (or hero if you're reading thecurrent Cosmic Marvel stuff). I think I may tweek him a bit though There are afew things Im not totally happy with. BTW, I just realized while pulling him apart for custom fodder that Jak has the perfect pouch for Shaman (though I dolike very much what you did). You were so right! While I was at TRU today I found the Jak two pack and the bag works perfectly. I painted it yellow to be comicaccurate but it looked really good without any paint at all. Thanks for the tip Edited January 16, 2012 by Rheul
boyd
Neat parts combo for Ronan. Are those Riot Spidey hands that I see?
Rheul
Actually those are Ultimate Green Goblin hands. It's one of the things I think I want to change though.Ive already resculpted the hood and repainted the hammer. One day Ill post something when Im sure its finished. hellpop
Ronan looks really nice. He's on my want list too (as are most of the Marvel cosmic characters), so I'm thrilled to see such a well done custom. And you're welcome about the bag tip! It looks great, and really rounds the figure out. Teamwork!
Rheul
Thanks Hellpop. Ive tweeked Ronan a little since I posted that pic. When Im finished foolong around with him, Ill post another. In the meantime, here is a Sharon Carter Agent 13 QC. FC Emma Frost. ScarJo Black Widow belt, Starbuck hair and I have no clue whose face that is. Edited January 18, 2012 by Rheul
Urban Saboteur
Inspired by the awesome Judge Dredd custom Brobot recently made for me, I decided to give Old Stony Face a shot for myself... Here he is... I still need to do some touch up work on the helmet and figure out a good way to do the elbow pads. This is awesome. What is the full recipe for this custom, if you don't mind sharing? I also read you updated Conan with new wrist bands? is there an updated picture of him? Excellent work on your Minimate customs, I really like them. Rich
Rheul
Dredd is basically a blue mate with Guardsman boots andgloves. The helmet is a sculpted and painted X3 Juggernaut helmet. The kneepads are(poorly) sculpted, so is the zipper. Since that pic was taken I've added a setof elbow pads from the Ghostbusters. The shoulder pads, badge and belt buckleare from some old Dredd toys that came out about 15 years ago. I chopped themup and carved them out to get on the Minimate body. The updated Conan is a fewpages back. I used the tattooed guy from the Pirates sets wristbands.
Rheul
I bought the Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Universe Box set the other day and though how cool it would be to get them in Minimate form. I had a little free time tonight so I made a really quick modern Drax. Old Hulk blue pants black shoes and a little red and green paint.
