antacost Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 Opps! I realized that the pictures don't really show the stand that I made for The Great Machine... You only get a hint of it in the "hero shot", and it looks like he's pooping white stuff... Here's a shot of the figure on the stand. You can see the flaming exhaust that I sculpted for it. I'm really happy with it. It's the best flame I've ever done... BTW: Thanks Webhead. I'm really happy with the way he turned out... Quote
TENIME_art Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 That kicks @$$!! I liked the one volume I read of that comic... Quote
Nervous Rex Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Damn bro!, he looks awesome, love how he turned out. The detail is too perfect, definitely one of my favorites! Quote
antacost Posted March 15, 2007 Author Posted March 15, 2007 Thanks guys. It's always nice to get some feedback. The first production piece of Onslaught is now finished. One down, four to go... I've reworked him a bit from the original WIP that I showed earlier... I'm much happier with him now. You can see him in the first post, or right here at: thefmh.com/Onslaught.jpg Feedback is always appreciated. Thanks for looking. By the way, Onslaught here is my 99th original custom. Hopefully, my 100th should be showing up soon... P.S. I forgot to mention, but the circle on his chest and his eyes glow in the dark. It's something I've been playing around with it for awhile now, and it looks awesome on this figure. Quote
Nestlé Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Wow! Beautiful!!! They're all spoken for, tho., right? Quote
THE_CRIPPLER Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Amazing job on Onslaught. Makes me wish the marvel minimates weren't limited to 2 inch size. Quote
Donny B Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 The shoulder pieces probably stand out to me as the most remarkable part of this whole figure... but the whole thing is amazing! I love the fact that you actually made the circle glow in the dark! Dang. SO much better than anything I could have ever drempt of coming up with... Quote
TENIME_art Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Cheese and rice, man! That's Onslie's massive!! Quote
luke314pi Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Onslaught's shoulder armor is truly beautiful. Amazing work! Quote
newaddict Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 My jaw dropped so fast when I saw the finished image. Truly awe inspiring. So many thoughts I wish to express, but so few words which will do your work justice. It's art! Quote
Amazing.JL Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 That Great Machine is awesome! I was a fan of the series, just got out but enjoyed it. Can't wait for the movie. Quote
Nervous Rex Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 this is one of the ones that makes me think about hanging up my customs making shoes.Seriously, I love the added detail. Truly a great piece! So, when's Hawkeye? Quote
antacost Posted March 16, 2007 Author Posted March 16, 2007 Thanks for all of the comments, guys... Glad to see folks dig the Onslaught... Wow! Beautiful!!! They're all spoken for, tho., right? Unfortunately, Yes. They're all spoken for. So, when's Hawkeye? When's yours? Quote

Webhead Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 awesome work dude! That is one badass Onslaught. He towers over magneto! Quote
antacost Posted March 24, 2007 Author Posted March 24, 2007 For my 100th figure, I wanted to do something special. The Great Machine was originally going to be my 100th figure (Mayor Mitchel Hundred... Get it?) but I came up with a better idea... I loved Paul Pope's Batman: Year 100... Year 100, 100th custom... I absolutely love this figure. You can see it in the first post in purple, or right here at: http://thefmh.com/BatmanYear100.jpg Feedback is alway appreciated. Thanks. Quote
Fujis Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 You have certainly captured Pope's style - well done! I haven't had a chance to pick up Batman: Year 100 yet but I've been meaning to and seeing this custom is all the incentive I need! Quote
Cobra Racer Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 That is one gritty Batman. Great Job. Always exciting to see this thread updated. Quote
