MiniFiend UK
As title says the man behind some of the most iconic kids sci-fi has died aged 83. I think Anderson along with Gene Roddenberry are prob the two most influential TV sci-fi creators ever and in one way or another have made their mark on generations of fans, scientists, writers, engineers and astronauts that watched their stuff. Thanks for the memories.
UK Collector
His work was great fuel for my imagination as a kid. Not only were his characters, stories and shows fantastic, but the way his shows were put together were just so clever.

BannersID
SPACE:1999, always has been and will be one of my 5 all time favorite sci-fi tv shows. I read this news on FB just a little while ago, very sad indeed. R.I.P.
youbastards
Captain Scarlet was one of my favs, even though I didn't discover it until I was an adult. I have fond memories of watching Thunderbirds (when we could find it here in the States) with my brother and father when I was a child. R.I.P., Gerry, thanks for the memories. Molybdenum Man
I remember UFO in syndication in the early 1970s. What a great dark show! Faceless humanoid aliens, abducting humans for replacement organs and who knows what else? The guy running SHADOW (?), giving up his wife and family to protect the earth, and no one could ever know the truth. Good stuff.
