  1. I think it's a bit of a stretch to say Superman kills more people than Zod, even if you don't count all of the destruction done by the terraforming process.
  2. Maybe I need to give Superman II another try some time, but that sounds to me like saying '66 Batman is the best Batman movie.
  3. I don't think it's an error so much as the red being painted over white plastic on the arms and black plastic on the chest.
  4. It is very in-character for that movie... where he acted totally out of character . I skipped Die Hard Picard but grabbed the rest, hopefully I can find the boring old TV show Picard soon, he looks great in the photos people have posted, and if that's the Darmok knife he comes with that's pretty rad. I think "Die Hard Picard" would technically be one of those episode-specific civilian variants we were talking about earlier, from Starship Mine to be precise. He'd need to come with a saddle.
  5. Man of Steel 2 out in 2014? I at least take solace that it's not Batman. What could they possibly hope to accomplish by doing that? Rushing things isn't going to hurt Marvel or Avengers 2, and it certainly increases the likelihood of screwing up both Man of Steel 2 and Justice League.
  6. While I do think WB is rushing this, I'm pretty sure they would be thrilled if it "fails" as much as Man of Steel and the Dark Knight Trilogy.
  7. Here's a link with a few pictures of the wrist flashlight prop. That seems to match up pretty well with the accessory to me.
  8. 2015 seems pretty rushed. A big part of the reason Avengers worked is because Marvel put in a lot of effort to pave the way for it. I'd rather see a Man of Steel sequel first.
  9. Picked these up at TRU this morning. All of them are very good, but I think Picard is especially deserving of praise with three different looks and a ridiculous amount of accessories. DST really went all-out with this figure.
  10. I liked it quite a bit, but I could definitely have done with less shaky cam early in the movie. It didn't seem as bad later on though. Was the volume very loud for anyone else, or was that just my theater? I was starting to wonder if I should have grabbed ear plugs.
  11. If we're at the point where we're complaining that we aren't getting a Marvel Girl Deadpool variant I'd suggest that we don't really have anything to complain about.
  12. A link for anyone who missed it in the other thread: http://www.shopafx.com/sd20exmamiir.html If the Mark II, III, IV, and VI had been redone to make them less bulky and more like the current Iron Man minimates we've been getting I'd be all over this set, but not sure I can justify the expense as is.
  13. I've thought about picking up some of these despite the price, but the reports of widespread joint breakage have kept me away. I cannot fathom why DCC insists on using clear plastic for joints despite the known issues.
  14. Yeah, Marvel is saving me lots of money on comics these days.
  15. I'm a fan of transformation minimates in general, but I'm not sold on Venom Wolverine. I think it needs something else to set it apart from Brood Wolverine, maybe a sculpted tongue? I don't mind parts reuse, but for some reason that's all I can see when I look at this figure.
  16. As much as I like Rocket, I think he would work better as a Snarf-like unarticulated figure than a regular minimate, even one with short arms and legs. Otherwise he would end up like Galactus, a cool 'mate but not one that I display with the normal characters. The important thing would be to make sure he could hold (and stand with) a BIG gun.
  17. Since no one has posted any pictures yet: I assume Khan was also supposed to come with a stand but there wasn't one in the package.
  18. While I personally would buy all of those characters, making that the lineup for Wave 55 would pretty much guarantee we'd never see a Wave 56.
  19. It's been selling for reduced prices at various outlets (Amazon for sure) for months. I'm not sure failure is the right word, but it certainly suggests that DST is right to be cautious about boxsets without a major character to carry them.
  20. I want to like the Enterprise and it certainly looks like DST did a great job with it but I can't get past the super-deformed style. I suppose it will be a question of whether I'm willing to pay $30+ for a Kirk minimate and a chair.
  21. Same here. I've always thought Major Victory would be the easiest member of either incarnation of the GotG to do since he looks like a Captain America variant. Seems like he would be a good choice for a TRU set to complement a GotG boxset if DST decides to do one.
  22. If anyone has the alternate legs from the original Iron Man Mark II lying around they also work great in place of the Endoskeleton legs for Smashmaster12's mod.
  23. I don't blame them for having backorders when they put a sample case up, but it's pretty ridiculous that they haven't been able to get descriptions up for three straight waves of minimates (IM3, Walking Dead 3, Trek). If they can find the time to put them up they ought to be able to do it right.
  24. Have to agree with bigvis here, there's no way we're getting multiple Acolytes in one wave. They were a big deal in the 90's but they're also almost completely forgettable. Not sure they would qualify as "highly requested" either.
  25. Black Knight is very high on my list of wants, but I'd hope he would come with extra parts for a 90's version: This is how he appeared in every book I read as a kid so my Avengers team wouldn't seem right without him.
