  1. Like 'em both. Well done. Make some 3xl's and sell them to me. Rock
  2. Jeff, What are those 4 white promos? I can't make out what they are? Also, can you shoot me a close up of the AA board motm mate. I can't say I have ever heard of it. WW4M
  3. In my world: Her: What is AFX? Me: Shut your mouth and do the dishes...now. Her: Blah, Blah, Blah... Me: Thinking about my other chic...and my new Minimates!
  4. Must be why I (and one other person) received nada. Congrats. PM me and tell me what you want.
  5. Hey Bro, I really hope you are joking...That sounds like some David Koresh type of ish... By the way, I got like 3 free packages from DST. Thanks DST, you are the BEST! WW4M
  6. BTTF.com has the release date scheduled for 11/15. Just an FYI for anyone who is interested. WW4M
  7. You know, I see it both ways. The older mates were classic with the simple styles and accessories. Helmet here, chest piece there, etc. But with newer, more detailed designers and ideas, it appears that the line has adapted to making changes to capture the essence of the character (i.e. Leader, Kilowag, etc.), rather than the essence of the block figure style (i.e. promo 2" mates, my personal favorite). I think the newer adaptations are an attempt to expand the toys mass appeal, for the most part, which is good, but there are obviously some people that appreciate the classics. I think of Minimates like this; I compare Symbiote Spidey to a 1961 Lincoln Continental (Isaac Hayes style), and the newer, more detailed mates like a new 2008 Mercedes Benz CL550. Some love classic rides, and some love the new technology. Me, I like them both. Rock On! WW4M
  8. When I first started collecting, I told myself I was not going to get the c3 sets. Now I have all expet the two hardest to get, the copter, and the javelin. My advice is get all of them, because you will regret passing them up later. WW4M
  9. Awesome score! I would say the Maxi's are way better in person than seeing them in photos. Mate On!... mini, that is...not meaning a little person, unless you are into that or you are one...in that case, go for it! WW4M
  10. This is great news. I will once again bookmark and visit the site regularly. Thanks a bunch for MMC! This is so great! I know my girlfriend will hate me, MMC, MMMV, and all Minimates even more now! WW4M
  11. Shane, "I'm out" was me going out of town to Nashville for 1 day for work. I would not let Timothy rile me up. It sounds like he needs some excitement in his life... Don't be a bitch Timmy. Takes one to know one. WW4M
  12. Thanks for the new old pics. I have never seen these.
  13. Funny, I didn't start this thread, but it seems like my post hit home to some. I have and will continue to log in almost every day (Shane, you can check that), and post frequently. I have good positive feedback from trades, etc. I am down with the site, totally. I appreciate the "it is what you make it" speech, but my post was not for MMMV staff to get all defensive, it was to say that the figures are great, and slumping (for this guy who started posts like this) comes from the newer members who are having a harder time (time and money) getting the harder to find mates. Trade references are more geared towards you that are hording 20 Super Skrulls and the new kid who did not start collecting until 2007 who has to pay $20 + bucks for it on ebay. I feel worse for the UK guys. I bid on the Blood mates, Fujis, only to be outbid, but I am an active supporter of the toys and this community, and if what I posted struck a cord with anyone, TBT, then you may need to point the finger back towards yourselves. I have every right to express my opinion just like the guy who posted this thread. I was not posting to offend, just to share. Loosen up. Thanks to Andy for starting this site, Shane for running it, TBT for the contests and many other contributions, Fujis for the MMHQ and community service, and the other staff for making yourselves available. But most of all, thanks to all the great customizers, and DST for being the best! I'm out...
  14. I have been more disinterested in the MMMV. It has been really boring here lately. All I read is people bitchin' about something or another, requesting obscure figures that only a few people want, and hating on the attempts DST makes to reach a broader crowd. No one seems to know exact release dates on anything, so the info is partly unreliable. The MMMV stars have not spent much time making these threads exciting (minus the photo hunt). And, with MMCentral closed, and the MMHeadquarters scaresly updated, there is no shine out there. Most of the guys who own the rare mates don't want to trade / sell them. The one new cool site, MMDatabase, is a look but don't touch teaser. Ebay is way overpriced, and none of the LCS's can ever touch older Minimates. This thread is depressing...
  15. Got mine. DST is the best. And, it is fantastic that they read the crybaby threads we create as well. DST, give those people raises! WW4M
  16. So, Did 24 and BTTF arrive this week or what????? I am dying here!
  17. Just wanted to say that I am 100% jealous of all of the prototypes. I have almost every production Minimate ever made, but I have yet to score a prototype. (weeping ever so gently...)
  18. Excuse me baby, but there's only one Rad. And he does the mounting! Oh yeah! Glass display High Five! Good one! I'll set 'em up, you knock 'em down
  19. I was tempted to complete the task of setting up all of my doubles, but as most of have plenty, I also have tons of doubles. I am way too lazy for that... I was thinking about buying some rad wall mounted, glass display cases and going all out. Maybe after I complete the collection. Only a few more to go...
  20. I buy everything Minimates that is released, and sometimes I get doubles or triples. I sometimes buy for my brother, who is broke, so I sometimes go double, sometimes go triple. I have used EBAY for some of the older stuff, but I must say that Ebay sellers are pushing these Minimates prices way too high! I have a limit on what I will overspend, and I wish more bidders did the same. Do not get suckered into overpaying on Ebay!
  21. Got My Hunt and Cylon in the mail. Lovin' it! DST knows exactly how to take care of their customers. It is things like this that will keep me buying Minimates! Thanks a bunch DST! Anyone know why they are in a different textured baggy than the other promo mates?
