Tried something a little different with my pic from earlier this week. Better? Worse? What say you?

Oh you can bet that the gimp will feature into a future strip of CBMC.

Neither Butch nor Marcellus come with alternate ballgag heads. Butch does come with a regular head and a bloodied nose head (although he has no nose). Both Marcellus and Butch come with jackets, jacket arms and non jacket arms. Butch also comes with his samurai sword, his wallet and a mac-11 with silencer (new gun). Marcellus comes with a hand accessory holding a box of donuts and two cups of coffee as well as a recycled minimate rifle (that should be a shot gun). I will try to post pics tonight unless somebody beats me to it.

Hello Minimate Multiverse members. After another long hiatus from doing digital comic strips, I've decided to start things up again. However instead of resurrecting my Shots From The Minibar comic, I've decided to start a new strip focusing on the Comic Book Men and all the shenanigans that transpire at Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank New Jersey. For those of you who know my past work, you can expect the same kind of cheeky humor and for those of you new to my work, I hope you enjoy the ride.

So question... Does the bathtub count as a minimate because of its limbs or is it just a glorified accessory?

Ugh... Wouldn't you know it? As soon as the Hot Topic wave started hitting stores, everybody was in a mad dash to secure those 3 desirable HT exclusive mates. I myself, was one of those desperate collectors. Upon finding out that Ottawa was lucky enough to have a Hot Topic in town, I made my way down there only to find out there were no NBX mates to be found. I kindly asked the sales clerk and she told me that she didn't know if they'd be getting any, but that she would put my name on a list and give me a call if they showed up. That was over a month ago. A week or two later the comic book shop wave came out, so I end up buying an entire case from my shop. I give HT a call on the odd chance they got in their stuff in and I don't have to buy the entire comic shop case, but nada. Flash forward another week and HT still doesn't have any in stock, so I give up on them and I secure a couple of trades with forum members to obtain the HT exclusives. Life is good, I have them en route from the USA. Flash forward again to today... 10 minutes ago... Guess who calls? "Hi, is this Eric? I'm calling from Hot Topic to let you know that your Nightmare Before Christmas minimates have arrived." Ugh... Why couldn't this have happened weeks ago? Now I gotta go in tomorrow and commit to buy only the exclusives instead of the entire case. I really hope they don't give a sh!t.

I was checking out Diamond Comics Toychest news and according to their newest "toys on the water" update (Sept 19th, 2015) here are some updated rough estimate (accurate to within one or two weeks) release dates of some highly anticipated minimates. Updated Secret Stash diorama. See more pics after the jump.

About a month ago I whipped together a diorama of Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash. I pieced the shop together from images I found on the internet spanning the earlier seasons of Comic Book Men, but wasn't 100% satisfied with the outcome. That is until I came across the interior of the Stash via Google maps. Now I was able to see the current store layout in all it's comic booky detail. Using that 360 degree layout of the store I was able to "renovate" my diorama and put this beauty together. Behold!

Count me in too.

I hopped the border and drove down to Watertown, NY today with some friends. We checked out a Hot Topic at the mall there and I was told by the manager that the NBX mates had not hit their store yet. That plus no Marvel mates at the Walgreen's. What a waste of gas money.
